Stalking

Hi. I've had the strange feeling for a while that you're following me around, editing the articles I edit, reviewing the articles I review, getting involved in the conversations I'm having. This morning, you popped up on Dorothy Olsen. Just now, you showed up at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Josef Hoop/archive2, pointing somebody to an essay I've been working on in my userspace which I haven't yet decided if I was going to publish or not. Given the topic of the discussion, had I thought my essay was ready to be shared, I would have done so myself. I haven't mentioned it anywhere, so the only way you could know it existed is if you've been watching my contributions.

Everything we do on-wiki is public, but to be honest, what you're doing is a bit creepy. I'm sure it is well-intentioned, but still creepy. And, as you've already been told by @Elli, not a good thing to be doing. As I was puttering around today trying to figure out if I was overreacting, I was reminded of this thread from last year and came to the conclusion that my feeling was correct. I'm going to add my voice to that of @SchroCat and @PMC who have already asked you not to do that anymore. Please leave me alone. Thanks. RoySmith (talk) 14:51, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for quality articles such as Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Catherine, Princess of Wales and Royal Foundation, attracting millions of readers, for deletion to quality, for quality reviewing on a large scale, - Tim, you are an awesome Wikipedian!

You are recipient no. 3022 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:16, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Thank you, @Gerda Arendt. Just to clarify, I’m neither Tim nor MSincccc in real life. I hope you’re having a great day. Cheers. MSincccc (talk) 10:59, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Thank you! "This user's name is Tim." - I prefer addressing someone as Tim to whatever "cccc" ;) - My day began tough, because - after a day out in much sun here, flight back for almost 4 hours, driving home from airport for another hour, arriving past midnight - I saw that one of my DYK noms was marked for closure, - too tired to even say "wait", I went to sleep, and when I woke up it was closed. I requested reopening on WT:DYK, - we'll see. I'll have to catch up on other uncompleted things also. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:43, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing. You PR is on my to-do-list, rather high even. - Of the four topics I helped to bring to the main page, I'm most proud of a woman's work, so made it my story. As it happens, last year's story OTD was about the woman. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:01, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt Thank you for your kind words. You are among my inspirations for writing this piece for The Signpost. Cheers. MSincccc (talk) 18:09, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for saying I was an inspiration ;) - I had a bit of trouble with the beginning of the essay, - well, English isn't my first language. I like the button for quick thanks, often just as a token of saying that I noticed something and like it, but prefer to say thank you in words. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:18, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
