Copyrighted image
Please take this into account before restoring an image removed for copyright infringement: Red Bull. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Copyright_rules_by_subject_matter#Product_packaging When someone takes a photo of a package, the copyright belongs to the artist who made the label, not the person who took a photo of the label. Graywalls (talk) 02:33, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- I know that the copyright belongs to the peron who designed a label.
However, if an image is available on Wikimedia Commons under the CC License, you'd normally assume that it is free to use and any copyright issues with it have been settled, and it should not be required to check that when using this image, but only when uploading it. If an image was erroneously uploaded that way and violates copyright law, then that image should of course be deleted, but since I did not upload the file on Commons, that is not of my business.
I just saw that an image of a Red Bull can was missing in the article without reading the version history for why the last image was removed, whereupon I added one of the dozens of images available on Commons which I now retrospectively know were erroneously uploaded. Cheers. Maxeto0910 (talk) 03:19, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
WP:CAPTION
That's the policy that states sentence fragments do not require periods. Logoshimpo (talk) 04:00, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
- MOS:CAPFRAG states: "If any complete sentence occurs in a caption, then all sentences, and any sentence fragments, in that caption should end with a period or full stop." Maxeto0910 (talk) 06:42, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
