- That's great, thanks so much, I'll give it a read! Motorik2000 (talk) 13:29, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi again - I'd like to put the podcast logo on the page but I've just realised I've might have gone about it in a very silly way. From what I oculd tell I could only attach an image to the article if it was an image that could be found in wikimedia commons. So I uploaded my logo, eager to get it on the page but tagged it as freely useable by others and of course I don't mean to give people permission to make their own merchandise with this image and I'm worried that's exactly what I've done. Is there a better way to do it do you know? Thanks again so much for your help. Motorik2000 (talk) 12:28, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Motorik2000- no worries, image copyright is a very common point of confusion. For most podcasts, the correct approach would be to upload the logo locally to English Wikipedia as a non-free image, under the fair use policy. This should probably be done only after the draft is in mainspace, i.e. published as an article. Drafts generally don't display non-free images. And since Commons only hosts freely licensed media, you can request speedy deletion of the logo you uploaded there (or I'm happy to tag it for deletion for you). - Amazing thank you for clarifying. Yes please, if you don't mind flagging for deletion that would be great. Although another editor has already flagged that it will likely be deleted because I haven't confirmed ownership of it properly. Another thing to learn about! But if flagging it for deletion will get rid of it faster then please do that if you don't mind. Thanks again! Motorik2000 (talk) 12:59, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

TipsyElephant (talk) 18:01, 8 February 2026 (UTC)Orphaned non-free image File:UNEXLOGO.jpeg

Thanks for uploading File:UNEXLOGO.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:41, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi B-bot,
- Thanks for this - I'd realy like to attach this image to the article, could you please advise on how best to do it? This is my logo and I don't want people to be able to just use it freely for commercial purposes but there must be a way to use it on the wikipedia page without going through wikicommons, or is it not possible? I was using this as my template: Alice Isn't Dead and this is their logo image page: File:Alice Isnt Dead.png I tried to apply the same thing to my image. It seems to work for them, why is my one an issue? Thank you for your help!! ~2026-96941-5 (talk) 09:36, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
