This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for organizations and companies. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, excluding routine coverage like product launches, staff appointments, or financial reports and listings in databases or listicles;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the subject, such as press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.

Refine Technologies connections

Hello again, Nacho Gacía. Can you please tell me what your connection is to Draft:Refine Technologies? If you are connected to the company in some capacity, or to its employees then you need to disclose that in order to remain an editor in good standing. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 06:39, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello!
I currently work there.
I disclosed it in my profile and the talk of the draft page. Maybe I did something wrong? First time contributing :) Nacho Gacía (talk) 06:44, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
I just thought Refine was at a point worth including as it has some authoritative sources, but I'm guessing the company needs more coverage?
All the academic papers mentioning it don't seem to meet the criteria.
Any guidance is welcome Nacho Gacía (talk) 06:50, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
Oh cool, so you did. Apologies; I was so concentrated on the Talk page, didn't notice you had a user page as well. (I also messed up the link above, was red, now blue.) Yes, those are a valid declarations, you are in compliance. May I ask how you even knew to place those in the first place? Given your declarations, I assume you have already read WP:COI, but if not, that page lays out the details. Are you planning to contribute to Wikipedia in other ways, once your article is done? I hope so; lmk if you need help. (edit conflict) Mathglot (talk) 06:54, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
Yep, this was a way for me to start since I knew the subject, but would like to continue.
I investigated the COI, and tried to disclose it. I was told if I didn't 'market' it and just laid out facts, as long as I disclosed it, could be fine.
Seems the issue is not COI but WP:CORP Nacho Gacía (talk) 07:08, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
The main threshold you need to overcome is that of WP:Notability, which is a property of the topic (i.e., the company), and not of the state of the article or draft. The way to demonstrate notability is through citations to sources with significant coverage about the topic. A long article entirely about the company that is fully independent (i.e., not an interview with someone at the company, or published by the company or by anyone promoting the interests of the company) would be a start, and three such would probably be sufficient to demonstrate notability (five or six is better). Do you have three rock solid sources you can name? (edit conflict) Mathglot (talk) 07:18, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
Thanks, that's very helpful.
I have added more articles from Harvard, Financial Times and Princeton, but the only one fully dedicated to Refine is The Grumpy Economist by John H. Cochrane.
Do you think it is enough, or should I add more sources? Not sure where exactly the bar is set Nacho Gacía (talk) 11:17, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
