Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Siberian Tatars, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

Hello, I'm Mellk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ket people, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mellk (talk) 05:48, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Siberian Tatars, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. --Altenmann >talk 02:17, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
Recent edit reversion
In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 10:57, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Your edit to Kurdak-Sargat Tatars has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for information on how to contribute your work appropriately. For legal reasons, Wikipedia strictly cannot host copyrighted text or images from print media or digital platforms without an appropriate and verifiable license. Contributions infringing on copyright will be removed. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. I've noticed you keep reverting this paragraph on this article , I've checked the source and there's no mention of the clans that are mentioned. The no original research is an important policy of Wikipedia, please do not revert or change the content without citing verifiable sources. LothofOrkney (talk) 09:27, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add external links to the same paper into numerous articles, like you did, e.g., here. This looks like a promotion of Nikolai Tomilov. If there is something useful in this paper, please add information into the corresponding Wikipedia article. --Altenmann >talk 17:58, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
Tobol Tatars moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Tobol Tatars. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Onel5969 TT me 15:31, 14 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Yeniseian peoples have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. The source says she's Evenki, and that's a better picture anyway. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 04:46, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
Hello, I'm M Imtiaz. I noticed that you recently removed content from Khakas without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - @M Imtiaz: The removal was correct: whoever added the text did not read the cited sources carefully. I fixed the article. However you are right: removal of a text with referenced must always be explained, because it always looks suspicious. --Altenmann >talk 19:42, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Altenmann Thanks. I looked at the snippet that was quoted from one of the sources and I got the impression that a name used until Soviet times might still be validly listed as an alternative one in the lede, but I'm happy to have been corrected. Hello, I'm Replayful. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Greenlandic language have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Please do not reinsert the YouTube link.
