Speedy deletion nomination of File:Nate Dogg's mug shot.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Nate Dogg's mug shot.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ―Howard • 🌽33 13:59, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Howardcorn33 I suppose. I assumed this only referred to stock images owned by the person who put them there, but if not then I agree. Nutella lover • [ chat│supervise ] 14:16, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Lekritz: I'm currently trying to find a replacement photo that isn't provided on any stock image sites.
- What do you think about this one: https://i8.amplience.net/i/naras/nate-dogg_MI0001404494-MN0000373592 (from here)? ―Howard • 🌽33 14:20, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- Well, I wasn't able to find it on any stock Web sites, but that's rather suspicious than promising. Many of these images pretty much just get passed around the Internet and end up on Pinterest, making it very difficult to find the original source. I say upload it, but with fill "Original Publication" out with "Unknown" and provide that Web site as an "Immediate source".
- Also, weird question, but how did you get the link to the full image so it didn't show up cropped like it did for me? Nutella lover • [ chat│supervise ] 14:57, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- Actually I do know of the original publication, it's a 1998 promotional photo by Dogg Foundation Records. ―Howard • 🌽33 15:20, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Howardcorn33 Then go ahead! Nutella lover • [ chat│supervise ] 15:29, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- Also to get the link to the full image I just right-clicked the image on grammies website and selected "open image in new tab". ―Howard • 🌽33 15:28, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
