Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Improvisation. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Hi MarB4, the intention is not to soapbox, but to be informative and encyclopedic. Improvisation forms the mainstay of ACT 2 CAM's film-making repertoire, and Mike Leigh, who is a leading exponent of Improvisation in film has written to the company on the subject. The company has recently been recognised for its work in improvisation by The Stage, a national UK paper in the field of performance (which is why I thought it pertinent to create a Wiki page at this time. I have made several recent contributions to Wiki regarding ACT 2 CAM and requested a review of the page I have created. While writing the page I have also back linked from some articles (hence ACT 2 CAM edit on the improvisation page, on the acting school page, on the applied drama page, etc). ACT 2 CAM is known for its work in teaching and learning through improvisation, and is currently conducting research into improvisation in film (educational perspective) for 'Research in Drama Education' (UK). May I replace the edit?
- Hi Obsteve. :-) If you want to discuss potential edits to an article, the talk page for that article is a good place to ask. (At the top of every article is a little tab that says "discussion." Click on it and you'll be on that article's talk page. You also might be interested in the theatre or film WikiProjects. (A WikiProject is a group of editors all interested in the same subject.) Often WikiProjects have guidelines or suggestions about how to write articles on the subjects they cover. Plus the people there would have similiar interests. - Ooops, I should have given you the links to the WikiProjects I mentioned above. That'd be Wikipedia:WikiProject Theatre and Wikipedia:WikiProject Film. Cloveapple (talk) 21:44, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Ha ha!
You know what, thanks so much! At that point I was relegated to guessing as to what he was saying. I was like, 'Oh, no.. I hope I have it right..' But anyway, thanks for clarifying that for me! If you ever need anything, just holler. Thanks so much! Just a question; is the rest of it right? Because I was guessing about that too. Let me know. Bravo! Alfa! Papa! 19:53, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know. I figured that someone would normally say meek. But I thought that he was being original by saying weak. You know how it is when you can't hear something clearly; you just make it up according to your own personality. That old chestnut. So I take it that everything else in the quote is alright; cool. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Cullercoats Fish Lass, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tyne (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
