btw i just found out sbout the brehony book like 2 days ago and it has lots of info on this topic (starting from chapter 3). We should be relying on that book more 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 21:35, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

I have around two dozen books on Yemen at this point. I haven't gone through them yet, but I'm fairly sure some that aren't currently cited in the article will have relevant material. They only mentioned previous examples, which is not a strong justification. I wrote to you on the deletion discussion page, but you did not respond. That’s why it’s called a discussion page. It’s also important to allow the topic some time. The article was created on the 31. The article can be renamed to Israeli war goals in the Gaza war. Proposed deletion is only for non-controversial topics. Past consensus has been that we have very high standards for slogans at AfD. Basically, we require significant coverage from multiple reliable sources, and if involving living persons, then the sources must be over a period of time. An example of a Keep is Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The bride is beautiful, but she is married to another man, and of a Delete is Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Make Iran Great Again. I have no real opinion about the content itself, but I need to advise you that you are misunderstanding about how the consensus required provision applies. In your edit at Special:Diff/1343491445 you wrote in the edit summary "Removed challenged content per WP:CRP"; however the consensus required prevision stated in the active arbitration notice at the top of Talk:Zionism states "Changes challenged by reversion may not be reinstated without affirmative consensus on the talk page". You first attempted to make the change on 13 February at Special:Diff/1338045190, which was subsequently challenged by reversion by Davefelmer on 13 February at Special:Diff/1338066414. Thus your change has already been challenged by reversion and consensus is required to reinstate it. Your edit today to reinstate it in the edit I link above is thus a violation of the consensus required provision.
As I stated above, I have no opinion on the change itself, but I would encourage you to self-revert before Davefelmer makes that request of you. TarnishedPath^talk 06:25, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

Sorry, I wasn't active yesterday and only saw this now. He is the one who inserted the content on 24 January, which I later partially reverted. I challenged his addition, so under the restriction he should have taken the matter to the talk page and argued for its inclusion there. Instead, he restored it. He was already warned at AE for failing to comply with the restriction. I subsequently restored my change, and he has now reverted it again.

I have no objection to discussing the matter on the talk page and explaining why my changes better reflect the sources. However, I do not see why the burden should fall on me in this situation, given that I challenged the material and he was the one who reinstated it without consensus. I went through the chronology of these changes here; to me that is plainly a new addition that was contested and edit warred back in. I guess I should bring the matter to AE once again. I had assumed the issue was resolved after the previous case, where it was determined that Davefelmer had indeed violated the restriction and was advised to comply with it, which is why I restored my edit.
