Hi Widgetkid, as long as there was no paid editing, WP:COI is, well, a guideline. An important one and ignoring its advice almost certainly leads to problems and blocks, but by itself, just a guideline. Noone is required to disclose conflicts of interest as long as there is no WP:PAID violation, and lying about (not) having an affiliation is equally not a block reason by itself. If there's more, please create an ANI thread with evidence of continued disruption, though. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:45, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

@Parabelleum:, this has nothing to do with your time between edits. It has to do with you saying you're part of a parish in order to get a questionable photo through FFD, then saying you're not part of the parish, so you have no COI for the article. I don't understand how both can be true.
I am not trying to get you blocked, but you have been rather aggressive in your responses, both on my page and in AfD. It doesn't seem like you're reading the relevant policies myself and others have been sharing to try to explain our points of view.
Due to your responses, I looked into your history and found that you'd been blocked previously, so raised it to those who may have an interest in your behavior now. I thought your article was well-written. You should stick around and keep contributing. Learn more about what is and isn't allowed on Wikipedia. I also had articles deleted before I better understood WP's policies.

I sure am. After reviewing all the parish articles at Kochi Orthodox Diocese, there were several others, too. The only one that passed my WP:BEFORE was St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral, Mulanthuruthy.
