The stadium is branded as stadium:mk - all lower case. Are you sure that the arena is using MK rather than mk? (yes, I know it is silly but we have to tell it like it is). [Although we are using "Stadium:mk" in body text in accordance with WP:Use English and so only the infobox uses the lower case s. Hi. I removed George McAvoy, Ernie Laforce, Frank Mailley and Mickey Murray from the List of Montreal Canadiens players, and the latter three from the List of one-gamers in the National Hockey League. My reasoning is that both of those lists use hockeydb.com as their source, and hockeydb does not list any of those players as having played in the NHL. Can you reference the additions of those players? Hockeydb is quite reliable and, if it says those players never played in the NHL, I am inclined to believe it. I checked your sandbox. One suggestion is that we keep this list based on current values: current capacity and currently in use or not.

It could have happened that once in a particular match, there was a huge attendance beyond the capacity of the stadium, but that's basically a fault of organizers. They should not have allowed people more than they can accommodate safely. And its also a trivia that once so many people attended and only once so happened. Current capacity of the stadium looks like a better criteria for ranking. If you agree, you can drop the column for maximum capacity.

For the other point, currently in use for sports or not, for example Strahov Stadium is not used for sports anymore, its just a training ground for now and it may make way for other use in future. So, I would suggest moving it to the second table. Also, some stadiums can accommodate more people when the stadium is used for concerts. But, here we are considering only sports use. So, either max capacity or current capacity should not be considered if it is not for sports use.

Also, another point you may consider. Some users wrote in the discussion page about why states for US stadiums are not mentioned. I think it is better to add State/Province information in Location info, as far as possible, for all entries. If you need help for this, I can help.GDibyendu (talk) 09:46, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, in present list also, there are Stadiums with less than 100,000 capacity - nothing wrong about keeping it that way. But, currently it does not have maximum capacity column now, so that's a change.

If you want to add it, then you should be also able to provide information whether the default max capacity was ever attained or not. And another logic is that: 'capacity' always means how many it can accommodate, not exactly how many were actually present on certain days. Also, for such a case, there will be difference in official and unofficial numbers and in some cases, you'll find that not all the people were able to reach the gallery and all. These type of info can be there in stadium-specific page, but list can avoid those details and stick to official capacity without bothering about whether it was ever full/over-crowded or not. BTW, I am personally not against the addition of the column, but it does not seem logical to me to rank the stadiums based on one day's crowd.

About State/Province info, for example, the largest stadium's location is actually Speedway, Indiana, USA. It's surrounded by Indianapolis city but it's a different town officially. If the state is not specified, then just mentioning Speedway, USA does not give clear picture about where exactly it lies. Current list mentions the location of this stadium as Indianapolis, USA (which is more well-known place).

Hey man, good to see that my list is actually serving a purpose to people other than myself! The problem with the players in question is that they all played before 1945, so information on them is limited. The book Football League Players Records 1888-1939 would be very useful, but unfortunately the cheapest copy on Amazon is still £25. If I manage to find any sort of biographical information about said players, I will surely keep you aprised. Personally I think that PFR is the better site, it shows many more things on the player pages like the Pro Bowl years, All-Pro years, tackles, whether they were starters, and rankings. Yes I can, It's Wikipedia page about it says (and I quote) "Over 300,000 people make the annual visit to Berkshire during Royal Ascot week, making this Europe’s best-attended race meeting." which states that Ascot has had more than 100,000 people attending it and so it can be included on the list. I think that your idea of lowering the minimum capacity limit to 30,000 would be a good idea (why don't we make it 35,000?) because I'm sure theres several other notible stadia that aren't in this list due to the minimum capcity being to high, that should be. Hi. If you're going to create dozens of hockey player stubs, could you please at least use Hockey Reference.com, which prints dates of death when they are available, instead of just dates of birth? That way, no one has to go back and properly complete the article. No worries Patken, im sorry, I didnt mean to be rude. I appreciate that without your help all the lists of stadiums pages would have been utterly ruined by now. If you agree with my points about the whole seating capacity vs. total capacity thing it would be good if you said so on the talk page, so we can show the idiots there is consensus. Perhaps a sentence in the lead stating that the page goes by official capacity rather than record attendance would clear that issue up? Also, if you agree with my suggestion that all edits to capacity that dont cite an official source will be reverted, please state your agreement in the "references" section of the talk page. That way, it wouldnt be too controversial or difficult if one of us reverted all offending edits, say, once a week. I wonder, would you support an attempt to ban new or unregistered users editing any of our problematic pages? I presume our request would have more chance of success if we were both behind it. p.s. I wasn't actually aware of the issue of people altering capacities to take account of new record attendances; probably because I unfortunately have had to spend several months away from wikipedia to do stuff in that dastardly "real world". (ie. trying to get a university degree) I will be going back to uni in about a month, so you might want to try recruiting another sane, reasonable "stadiophile" to help you battle the vandals. I suggest we start a section in the talk page explicitly stating that the page deals with official capacities, not record attendances. If you start said section on the talk page I will back you up 100%. One does feel some sort of sympathy for the people making these edits, because it is confusing when a stadium hosts an attendance in excess of its official capacity. I admit I do not completely understand how this is possible, other than by shoving more people in than is safe. Can you enlighten me on this issue? However if the list is to have any sense and consistency it clearly must be arranged by official capacity. Perhaps you would be interested in making a "List of stadiums by record attendance", or a similar list that was confined to the US, or just College Football? Something along the lines of Record attendances of English football clubs. That way we could deflect the problem users to that page. However I think the easiest way of dealing with this is to make the aforementioned statement on the talk page, continue mercilessly reverting bad edits (each time pointing out said consensus on talk page), recruit other like-minded people to help us, and seek semi-protection for any problem pages. BTW, do you read the skyscrapercity forum on stadiums? It seems pretty much the premier online forum for stadium enthusiasts; perhaps we could recruit some of them to help our lists? You might want to take a look at WP:NHOCKEY it changed a year or so ago there are no awards that make you meet NHOCKEY except First-All Star Team/All-American etc anymore. And leading scorer has never met NHOCKEY. Only top 10 all time leader. So one of the top 10 scorers in the history of the league not just a single season leader.
