Question from Emibonnieusa (23:04, 1 January 2026)
Hi mentor! I recently published a new article but it doesn't show up when I search for it on Wikipedia. Does it take time for the article to link to the search term, or do I need to somehow manually link it? Thanks! --Emibonnieusa (talk) 23:04, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from Deizer0157 (03:18, 3 January 2026)
Hello Pichpich i wondered where can i find variable sources? --Deizer0157 (talk) 03:18, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Deizer0157. Did you mean reliable sources? In this case, you have many options. Many sources can be found on the web such as sources of reliable news, scholarly publications (which are increasingly available for free), some older books now in the public domain, among many others. You can find other sources at your local or university library. To verify whether a given source is likely to be considered reliable by other editors, you can check out the very detailed list Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources. Pichpich (talk) 01:25, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, i meant reliable sources Thank you Deizer0157 (talk) 02:59, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Kelp Krawler (20:29, 6 January 2026)
Hello Pichpich, how do you gain barnstars and how do I participate and get associated with GOCE? --Kelp Krawler (talk) 20:29, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Kelp Krawler and welcome to Wikipedia. You gain barnstars by doing work around Wikipedia and patiently waiting for someone to notice! Barnstars are awarded by anyone to an editor who is deserving of that honour. If you really want to get a barnstar, you can take part in backlog drives such as Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Backlog elimination drives, Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced articles/Backlog drives/November 2025 or the current Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/January–February 2026. These typically award barnstars to participants that meet minimal goals in the drive. As for membership in GOCE, anyone can join although it's expected that you consider yourself competent enough. (See the section "Joining the Guild" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors.) Best, Pichpich (talk) 22:31, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from SovietBias19 (04:23, 11 January 2026)
How can you make a good user's talk page --SovietBias19 (talk) 04:23, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi SovietBias19 and thanks for your edits to Wikipedia! You don't really control your user talk page since it is mostly used by other editors to communicate with you. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 16:30, 11 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from SovietBias19 (08:00, 12 January 2026)
How can I participating in the reduction of the wikipedia backlog? thanks --SovietBias19 (talk) 08:00, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi SovietBias19. This is actually fairly simple: browse through Category:Wikipedia backlog and choose the backlog you think you are most able to reduce (and most interested in reducing). If you want to feel part of a team, you can check out Wikipedia:Backlog drive schedule though not all backlog drives are actually listed there. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 15:52, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from Albert Cuen (15:46, 14 January 2026)
How do I create a citation? --Albert Cuen (talk) 15:46, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Albert Cuen and welcome to Wikipedia. To create citations, the simplest way is to use one of the following tools: Wikipedia:RefToolbar or Wikipedia:ProveIt. I personally use the latter because the parameters of the citation can often be generated automatically from a url. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 18:52, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Malike Ghare (14:10, 19 January 2026)
How can I edit my my page --Malike Ghare (talk) 14:10, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Malike Ghare and welcome to Wikipedia! If you mean "how do I edit my personal user page User:Malike Ghare?", then you've already done so! If you mean "how do I create an article about myself?" then the answer is "you don't" because that puts you in a conflict of interest. If you meet the notability requirements of either this guideline or this one, then I'm confident someone will eventually start that article because Wikipedia covers football quite extensively. Question from GreekyTheGreek (18:57, 25 January 2026)
How can I make a page on Wikipedia if the person, object etc. I want to make the page of doesn't have red text? --GreekyTheGreek (talk) 18:57, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- I'm sorry GreekyTheGreek but I don't understand the question. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 22:24, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- You know how in some pages some of the people mentioned in there have their names written in red instead of blue, showing that, they don't have a wiki page? I know that you can make a page like that by pressing on the red text, but how can I make a page on Wikipedia for a person listed on a Wiki page, but his name doesn't have neither blue or red text? GreekyTheGreek (talk) 22:35, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- Well if "Joe Whatever" is neither red nor blue, you can always add [[ and ]] around that name (i.e. writing [[Joe Whatever]]). In this case, you get Joe Whatever, in red because no such article exists. If you click on it, you'll be able to create the article about Joe Whatever. Another way to create the Joe Whatever article is by searching for the term Joe Whatever. If the search comes up empty, meaning that there's no such article, you'll get the message:
- The page "Joe Whatever" does not exist. You can click on "Joe Whatever" to create the page directly, or you may create a draft and submit it for review, but consider checking the search results below to see whether the topic is already covered.

Question from Princessandtheflea (05:16, 28 January 2026)
- Note: Princessandtheflea's mentor AlphaBetaGamma is away.
Hello there, I have a question. I have re-written an articles history to prose format, from the information given in the original list of history. This was an edit that was suggested by Wikipedia, however the pop up suggesting the format be changed has not disappeared. Will this go away on its own or do I need to do something to manually remove it? Thank you in advanced, I appreciate your time. I’m sorry if this question is silly or if it has been posted elsewhere. --Princessandtheflea (talk) 05:16, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Good day. Please I want to submit my article and pics to be seen mainly on Google when browsed --Pioofficial (talk) 06:52, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Pioofficial and welcome to Wikipedia. Since you're account is not yet autoconfirmed, your first step should be creating a draft article. That last page includes a convenient "Create a new draft" button as well as info on how to write a draft that is likely to be accepted for publication. Question from Wikiclearh2o on User:Wikiclearh2o/sandbox (02:35, 30 January 2026)
Why aren't they publishing --Wikiclearh2o (talk) 02:35, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- The problem with that page is that it is blatant promotion of an event. This is not what Wikipedia is supposed to be. Best, Pichpich (talk) 20:17, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from HistoryWriter1117 (02:58, 2 February 2026)
Hi Pichpich, I was wondering if since the note has been removed that was claiming my article was promotional, does that mean I can make the changes that I wanted to make and re-submit it? I thought I had made a mistake with my sandbox or something! But the Draft of the Albert Simons Medal of Excellence looks to still be active and I was making edits to it. Thanks! --HistoryWriter1117 (talk) 02:58, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
January–February 2026 NPP drive - Phase 2

Welcome to Phase 2 of the January–February 2026 NPP drive. During Phase 1, we reviewed 16,658 articles and 4,416 redirects, and there is currently a backlog of 16,475 articles and 23,782 redirects in the queue. Fantastic job! Completing 22,502 patrols in the first phase made a significant dent in the backlog. Let's keep our foot on the gas for Phase 2, and I hope we can achieve even more reviews than Phase 1. Best of luck!

Hello, Is there a practice page? Somewhere I can do editing and it won't mess anything up. Somewhere my practice editing will be automatically erased after I am through practicing? --RickCalifornia (talk) 02:50, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, it's known as your sandbox and you can edit it here: User:RickCalifornia/sandbox. Feel free to experiment. You can erase its content at will although the history of those experiments will still be available through the sandbox history. If you want to completely delete the sandbox and its history, you can always add the tag {{db-g7}} to the sandbox and some administrator will eventually delete the page and its history. Question from Samstapp (23:44, 10 February 2026)
Hi there, I'm currently drafting an article on Argentine guitarist Agustin Pereyra Lucena. I'm having a hard time find reputable sources for information. There is a lot of information about him on liner notes of the records he released in the 70s and 80s. These liner notes can be found on Discogs, a vinyl record information site. Would this count as a reputable source? Thanks. --Samstapp (talk) 23:44, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Samstapp and welcome to Wikipedia. Discogs cannot be used as a reliable source because its content is user-generated and is, or so I'm told, riddled with errors. Actually, I think it's more acceptable to use the liner notes themselves as sources such as track titles, credits, personnel and so on. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 19:42, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
Question from Jwmold (14:54, 12 February 2026)
I just made a few relatively minor edits to https:www.en.wikipedia.or/wiki/Goal-Oriented_Health_Care. I added a reference in the text but couldn't figure out how to add it it to the reference list at the end. It should be ref # 32. --Jwmold (talk) 14:54, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Jwmold and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. If you want a reference to appear in the references section at the bottom, you need to prefix it with <ref> and suffix it with </ref>. They're still nowhere near of what we are looking for which is in-depth coverage of Rico Cortez Dukes in reliable, third-party sources. There's absolutely nothing to build an article in those links. Hi! I wanted to stop by and say hello.
I'm a newbie and I'm really interested in video games, especially mobile gaming and tech. My main goal right now is just to learn how Wikipedia works and help improve some general mobile gaming articles without messing things up.
Since you are my mentor, I’d love to get your advice. What is the best way for a beginner to start contributing to gaming articles? Are there any specific beginner-friendly tasks you recommend? Thanks in advance! --Nanodyne-ptn (talk) 14:40, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Nanodyne-ptn and welcome to Wikipedia! It's great that you want to contribute. I think a good place to start before you start editing is Help:Introduction. But beyond that, start by small improvements that you can make here and there. You'll get more confident as you go along and of course, if you run into problems, you can always contact me again (I'm your mentor forever!) Pichpich (talk) 14:50, 18 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from CJ765 (01:13, 23 March 2026)
What counts as disruptive editing? I got a warning that my editing was disruptive, despite that not being my intent at all --CJ765 (talk) 01:13, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- I agree that your edits are not intended as disruptive at all. However, you seem to be caught in a content dispute about whether to call characters superheros and supervillains. I'm not going to arbitrate this dispute since I have no expertise in comics. Since the changes you're making could potentially affect dozens of articles, I encourage you to stop making these changes for now, and start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Comics about the subject. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 16:19, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- Alright, will do. Appreciate the feedback!
