Hello, I'm Guz13. I noticed that you recently removed content from James (given name) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Guz13 (talk) 01:38, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Ike (given name), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
or in the visual editor:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing →
Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button.
Thanks! MossOnALogTalk 17:21, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello again @PikachuMai, please be sure to add edit summaries to your edits as described above. Thank you. MossOnALogTalk 18:06, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- PikachuMai, please read the messages above, thank you. MossOnALogTalk 21:55, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
Hayes
The names Hayes and Aidan are both derived from the Irish Aodh, meaning “fire.” It’s there in the source material. Bookworm857158367 (talk) 21:19, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
List of names pages
You have repeatedly removed Neddie Seagoon from the page Ned (given name). The first time you did it without giving any explanation, the second time you provided an edit summary giving your reason, which is much better; thank you. However, the reason you gave was "That person's name is not Ned", which misses the point. A major purpose of such a page is to enable users to find an article relating to a person from a name associated with them, and the criterion for inclusion is whether someone is likely to be looking for the person in question from the particular name, not whether it is the person's "official" name. In fact, if we followed the line "that's not really the person's name, so it can't be included", then we would remove a large number of entries; the people on that page include numerous ones whose name was Edward, and quite a number with other names, including Edwin, Edmund, Nedeem, Edgar, Nedward, and Edison. However, that is not how we do it. Neddie Seagoon was very often referred to as "Ned" in The Goon Show; therefore it is perfectly likely that someone may search for him under that name. Unisex names
You have been changing descriptions of names from male and female to unisex. Whether a name is unisex depends on the culture and language it's used in. A name that is used only for men in one culture and only for women in another is not generally described as unisex. See unisex names. It is more correct to say a name is male and female in cases where it is gendered differently in different languages. GoatnamedWilliam (talk) 12:30, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Charles, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 05:50, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 22
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Isabel, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Elizabeth was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
