Hello, Piperium,
Please do not tag draft articles and sandboxes too early for CSD G13. You tagged this draft too early but I deleted it any way. Another admin would probably have removed the tag and we would have waited another 6 months for an opportunity to delete the page. We have a bot that lists drafts as soon as they are eligible so the likelihood of you coming across a draft ready to be tagged that the bot hasn't listed is very small. Thank you for your contributions. Liz Read! Talk! 07:26, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- For example, here is a report from one of the bots that track CSD G13s, User:SDZeroBot/G13 soon so you can see what we work with. Liz Read! Talk! 07:29, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- Oh wow, thank you for that page :)
- And yes, I definitely was a bit early with the G13—I had misread the timestamp :(
- Thanks again! from Piperium (chit-chat, i did that) at 08:19, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:List of 24 Hours in A&E episodes

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:List of 24 Hours in A&E episodes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.channel4.com/programmes/24-hours-in-ae/on-demand/69562-019 and https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2674484/episodes/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Tenshi! Wikipedia and copyright
Hello Piperium! Your additions to Draft:List of 24 Hours in A&E episodes have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license—to request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tenshi! (Talk page) 11:59, 2 August 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm SpringProof. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. signed, SpringProof talk 05:13, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Memorial service of Charlie Kirk. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. You technically did it twice. Tankishguy :)(: (talk) 01:31, 28 September 2025 (UTC)

Fashion seasons
I noticed you went and changed every single instance of Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter in the leads of McQueen articles to use dashes instead of slashes. This is incorrect styling (the vast majority of fashion publications style the seasons with a slash) and inconsistent with the usage in the rest of each article. When making wide-scale changes like this, it might be better to check first to ensure you're not inserting an error in multiple FAs. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 02:31, 26 September 2025 (UTC)

My undo
I undid your edit here as it was not an improvement to the article. British English does not use commas the same way as some other dialects, nor does it use false titles. Please continue to care about formatting but please remember that different dialects use it differently. John (talk) 20:50, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- Had no idea what a false title was until looking it up. I furthermore have since noticed that the article uses British English instead of General American. Thank you for your clarification from Piperium (chit-chat, i did that) at 00:11, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
Communication
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. However using a library picture of Death visiting an old man conveys very little. And what it does convey may not be what you wanted to say. Words are also hard, but they are much clearer than selecting a library picture. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 11:57, 31 October 2025 (UTC).

Death of James Cook
hello there
You added a comma after the date in the following sentence in the lead: "On 14 February 1779 British explorer Captain James Cook was killed as he attempted to kidnap Kalaniʻōpuʻu, the ruling chief (aliʻi nui)." I reverted this because in British English a comma is not usual after a short introductory phrase of time or place. See New Hart's Rules p 69 and other major style guides written in the past 30 years. US English uses commas after dates and most introductory phrases, but this article is written in British English. See also the article on James Cook. Happy to discuss on the article talk page but you will need a very broad consensus to change the English variation. Thanks Aemilius Adolphin (talk) 12:04, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- Excerpt from the article
In January 1778, during his third Pacific voyage, Cook had become the first known European to visit the Hawaiian Islands.
- This is below the sentence you're talking about—why is it used here but not above? from Piperium (chit-chat, i did that) at 00:43, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
- Because in this instance a pair of commas enclose the parenthetical phrase "during his third Pacific voyage". The sentence makes perfect sense without the parenthetical phrase but the enclosed phrase gives us a little more information. The phrase could also be marked off by a pair of en-dashes, but commas imply a closer relationship between the parenthetical phrase and the rest of the sentence. Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia, and articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Baccarat. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use your sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write. Not helpful to link to the 6-7 meme when the 6 and 7 cards happen to be mentioned. Belbury (talk) 23:22, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you Belbury for the incredible gloss at the end :) (i.e. "Not helpful to link to the 6-7 meme when the 6 and 7 cards happen to be mentioned.") from Piperium (chit-chat, i did that) at 23:24, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- Okay. Don't use a WP:BADSUMMARY of "ce" when adding a joke link, either. Thanks. Belbury (talk) 23:28, 13 December 2025 (UTC)

- I actually came here after seeing the same edit summary. The revert doesn't even change {{Use American English}}, so it doesn't affect the article. Even if it was a visible change to the article though, it still wouldn't help anybody to insult other editors involved (WP:BRIE). Rjjiii (talk) 17:42, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

I think your edit summary got cut off - could you explain your rationale for this? Nikkimaria (talk) 01:35, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- I was about 5 seconds away from reverting it because someone else has removed your contribution earlier today and it's technically considered an edit war. Will revert to your revision.
- My summary would've been something attacking RSP because it is apparently protecting some publications over others, but that's probably not the case. from Piperium (chit-chat, i did that) at 01:36, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Parsley Massacre name change
Hello, you recently changed the title of the page "Parsley massacre" in order to italicize "parsley". I don't see why parsley should be italicized, I understand that it's referring to the fact that parsley was a spoken shibboleth, but it is not so referred in most sources. Listing the first non-Wikipedia sites that show up on my Google search, Zinn History Project, NPR, UC Berkeley, BBC, Britannica, all render it without italics, along with Haitian Times, IPAHP, and so on. The term doesn't get a lot of use in academic sources, being apocryphal (that's a whole other can of worms), but I certainly don't see the italicized version used anywhere in popular sources.
Considering that Wikipedia is meant to represent your personal feelings on the rendering of a widely used name, I hope that you change the name back to the non-italicized version. I would've done it myself, but don't know how, and hope you see where I'm coming from. I'll add that this page move obviously wasn't uncontroversial, and thus should've been discussed in requested moves. Theodore Christopher (talk) 20:23, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Main addenda
- Changing the rendering of a title is not changing the title; the former is done via templates.
- You are correct—it was a spoken shibboleth, which can qualify it for MOS:WAW, which is why I changed it.
- Zinn, NPR, UC, BBC, and Britannica do not follow Wikipedia's style guides—nor do we follow theirs.
- I don't know when I moved the page? It doesn't show in the move logs...
- Feel free to change it back—I don't care about this article; merely, I changed it to what I thought was correct at the time (and still do) and, when I do that, usually don't care if someone reverts it (they more than likely know better than I do—you likely do, too).
- Summary
- MOS:WAW is the primary reason; it reduces ambiguity between murdering a herb (Parsley massacre) and murdering arising from the name of a herb (Parsley massacre).
- Final notes
- God bless. from Piperium (chit-chat, i did that) at 11:53, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
- OK! I changed it back. Just didn't know how the italic string worked, which is why I budged in here in the first place. Pretty confident that no one is walking away from the article thinking that personified herbs were being murdered. Theodore Christopher (talk) 17:51, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
