Your recent edits
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:41, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

To improve this article to GA, it's going to need some more expansion and resolution with the non-free images. I would recommend continuing to seek out more sources to determine if more details can be added about his life. In addition there are several areas throughout the article that lack citations. Anything that may be considered contentious should have a citation added. Single sentences should also be either incorporated into other paragraphs or expanded on to improve the flow of the article. Once the article is significantly expanded along with support from citations, I'd recommend having an editor or two copyedit the article. For the images, many of them are tagged with non-free licenses. For an article such as this, maybe only one or two non-free images should be included if there is justification. It seems there is some confusion that they may be public domain in the U.S., but try and figure out for sure what license they fall under to determine if they can all be kept and left in the article. For smaller issues, the lead should be expanded to better summarize the article and the citations should have full details instead of just the url (include the title, author, date, work, etc.). Take a look at some other similar GAs on ways to improve the article and consider using a peer review to get further input. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talk • contrib) 21:37, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:ITBHUlogo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:ITBHUlogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:15, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

July 2013
Hello, I'm Mufka. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Satyajit Ray, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 20:04, 26 July 2013 (UTC)

If you don't think posting a link to footage from a live football broadcast that someone has clearly stolen from a pay-to-view UK television channel isn't a copyright violation, you clearly need to do some research about copyright law. If if you don't want to do that, just take my word for it, because you obviously have no idea. – PeeJay 16:40, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Exhibition at Indian Museum Kolkata.jpeg
Thanks for uploading File:Exhibition at Indian Museum Kolkata.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:30, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of File:Sougata Pramanick IN.jpg

The file File:Sougata Pramanick IN.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused personal photo. Out of scope.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 08:33, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

Hi Pramanick. Thank you for your work on Subrata Pramanick. Another editor, Uncle Bash007, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Hi Pramanick.. it seems that you have close relationship with the BLP you created. This may trigger Conflict of Interest. I am moving the page to draft till further investingation. You can comment on the COI tag. Thank you

{{Re|Uncle Bash007}}
Hi Uncle Bash007 I am contesting the speedy deletion of "Subrata Pramanick" for the following reasons:
1. Not an autobiography This is not a self-created article. The subject died on 19 October 2021, so cannot be promoting themselves. Article creation by family/researcher about a deceased relative is entirely legitimate.
2. Multiple reliable secondary sources exist
SEBI/Deccan Aviation prospectus explicitly names Subrata Pramanick in Case No. 3197/2006 (wheelchair tax complaint) - government regulatory document [direct PDF link]
Wikipedia's own "Disability in India" page cites the same case, establishing prior notability
"Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016" Wikipedia page references the case
Family connection verified through Diptendu Pramanick and Sudhamoy Pramanick Wikipedia articles
3. BLP1 does not apply
Subject is deceased (BLP applies primarily to living persons)
No promotional tone - factual biography covering career + activism
Sources are public records (SEBI), government documents, and Wikipedia's own reliable sourcing
4. Meets WP:NPERSON criteria The subject received significant coverage in reliable sources for the Deccan Aviation wheelchair case, which was cited on multiple Wikipedia pages.
Request: Withdraw speedy deletion. Article has verifiable sources and is not promotional/autobiographical. Happy to address sourcing concerns through normal AfC or article improvement rather than deletion.
References in article (already cited):
SEBI Deccan Aviation Limited prospectus (Case 3197/2006)
Wikipedia: Disability in India
Wikipedia: Diptendu Pramanick family refs
Wikipedia: Sudhamoy Pramanick family refs
Am still researching other secondary sources of reference through DRCSC and VOSAP but since the person is long expired and the period of association was more than a decade back in India, it is going to take time. Any help would be appreciated.
Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Pramanick. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Sarsenet•he/they•(talk) 11:58, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
STOP
You need to first address your conflict of interest. You then need to STOP recreating Talk:Subrata Pramanick. Instead, you should work on Draft:Subrata Pramanick, which is clearly and blatantly not ready to be an article yet. After massive rework, you can submit it for consideration. See WP:AFC. I'll warn you, though, it looks like you are violating WP:COI and WP:PROMO in working on that content. --Yamla (talk) 12:02, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
