Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Byun Sang-il has been reverted.
Your edit here to Byun Sang-il was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://m.huanqiu.com/article/4LCZnMxUTau) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. - I have changed the source. ROCedric (talk) 02:21, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- The new source is from the official account of The chairman of the exclusive sponsor of the MLily Cup, Ni Zhanggen on bilibili. Hence please don't remove it.
- It does comply with the policy ROCedric (talk) 02:22, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- sorry, not the new source but the source of the new statement. ROCedric (talk) 02:23, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
Welcome
Hello ROCedric! I'd like to welcome you to Wikipedia. I appreciate your involvement at Byun Sang-il, where despite some healthy disagreements so far, you've shown ability to make productive contributions. I am sorry about the bot intervention above, as automation can be overly impersonal and crude. However, I stress the importance of the site policy on biographies of living persons, on appropriate and inappropriate use of self-published sources such as social media, and on neutral point of view – especially in areas of controversy and tendency toward nationalistic bias.
For general tips and resources for newcomers, feel free to take a look at Help:Getting started or Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. If you like editing about go, you can also watch Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Go (unfortunately not very active), Wikipedia talk:WikiProject China, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Korea, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Japan, or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Taiwan, which are open places for editors interested in those topic areas.
I hope you like Wikipedia and continue contributing, long after the controversy of the day is over. Best wishes – Adumbrativus (talk) 06:49, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your feedback. I know I am new to wiki and unfamiliar with the policy. Although I have read most of the policies before editting, there might still be cases that the edit of me do not comply with the policy, and I truly appreciate the correction and guidance from experienced individuals like you.
- This paragraph is directly translated from zhwiki, so I simply assume it comply with the policy... ROCedric (talk) 11:35, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
