April 2024

Thank you for your recent contributions, such as Ohel Yizkor. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft of your article in draftspace or in your userspace first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 14:50, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reminder and suggestions. I have read through the help pages like and the Tutorial. There were indeed a few issues with Ohel Yizkor article, but I've made improvements now based on the guidelines. I appreciate you taking the time to review it. Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from he.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 20:45, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 14
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gorodishche Ghetto, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gorodishche. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Deletion discussion about 2025 Yokneam attack
Hello Rafi Chazon, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, 2025 Yokneam attack, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2025 Yokneam attack.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|TheLongTone}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from he:בית הצלם to Beit HaTzalam. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you.
- The same applies to Every Person Has a Name. I have completed the necessary attribution for you. Please review other pages that you have created and ensure that appropriate attribution is given for source texts when a translation has been made from another Wikipedia article. Richard Nevell (talk) 23:42, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, you're right. They're articles I translated at the beginning of my Wikipedia career. Today I am careful to provide appropriate attributions to the articles I translate. Rafi Chazon (talk) 10:57, 7 September 2025 (UTC)

June 2025 Israeli strikes on Iran
You edited text here that other editor added, please open a discussion about it to achieve a consensus. I added several academic well recognised references, if you want to change it, then it need to be discussed. AyubuZimbale (talk) 17:05, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- @AyubuZimbale You have been adding content to the Background section that either lacks sources, misrepresents the cited sources, or cites materials published before the attacks. Please note that the comment directly below the Background heading clearly states that this section is intended to include only information described as background by sources published after the war began on June 13. Happy to discuss anything at any time, but it appears that your recent edits have violated all of the guidelines mentioned above. This is why your contributions have been reverted by multiple editors. Rafi Chazon (talk) 17:10, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- My opinion is that the text I added has relevant sources from academic journals or international institutions: Once source that I added is: https://www.geneva-academy.ch/joomlatools-files/docman-files/from-words-to-deeds/Hezbollah_Case-Study.pdf The other is https://academic.oup.com/book/32400/chapter-abstract/268692345?redirectedFrom=fulltext both a serious references to be consider.
- All along the article there are sources previous to June 13, and in the context of background it is nonsense to introduce only sources after 13-Jun as probably they will be less objective, more emotional and more biased. There is also a danger that we replicate war propaganda of either side.
- I understand that we should limit the background to something reasonable, but my edits have (1) Academic and therefore lasting relevance sources (2) I did not added any topic just clarified context and (3) I opened a topic before any edit in the Talk page about avoiding framed content in the background. I hope you can contribute. AyubuZimbale (talk) 17:23, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, but the decision to include only sources published after June 13 wasn't mine I'm afraid. I originally added several high-quality sources from before that date, including from top academic publishers like Oxford and Princeton, but they were all removed by a consensus decision. Rafi Chazon (talk) 17:29, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- Where is the consensus debate? Is it in the talk page? AyubuZimbale (talk) 17:35, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- I am not able to find this discussion. AyubuZimbale (talk) 18:14, 15 June 2025 (UTC)

Rafi Chazon (talk) 17:29, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- I as I commented I was not able to find where it was agreed to only include sources after June-13 in the background section which obviously is a section where references before June-13 has a lot of sense. Also I note that others editors added references dated before 13-June and they has not been deleted. So I am afraid that the reason of deletion is not only about the date.
- Also you mention that "This is why your contributions have been reverted by multiple editors" but some editions reverted have sources dated after 13-Jun not only before, and also it is not true that this was the reason as the short comments provided are not indicating that. Finally, not only my edits were reverted but also improvements of other editors. AyubuZimbale (talk) 22:33, 15 June 2025 (UTC)

Israel - iran war
Hello, I saw that you are editing the article and I suggest removing the Npov, non-neutral edit: "Legal scholars saw the Israeli strikes as a violation of international law".
The reason for this is in the source itself, which claims a legal dispute. Therefore, presenting a specific legal side contradicts the principle of neutrality. I will note that a search of the Internet reveals two or three specific individuals with this opinion. I will note that the source talks about a publication on CNN as a fact. I will add that Israeli intelligence thought differently from the American one and accordingly there is a legal difference. I will note that from my memory such an assessment was not mentioned until after the bombing, the lengths were shorter. For example, this report in Hebrew, citing the New Times: https://mobile.mako.co.il/news-world/2025_q1/Article-0f2f019ebfdc491026.htm I will also mention this article that defines an attack on a nuclear reactor as an example of a justified preemptive attack: Shue, Henry and Rhodin, David (2007). Preemption: Military Action and Moral Justification. Oxford University Press. p. 215.

Hi Rafi Chazon. Thank you for your work on Operation Red Wedding. Another editor, Alalch E., has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Operation Red Wedding, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected to Iran–Israel war#13 June. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.

Deciding when to create a new article and when to add something to an existing article
Hello Rafi Chazon,
Please study the guideline Wikipedia:Notability § Whether to create standalone pages.
You created dedicated articles for both the Operation Red Wedding and Operation Narnia, the two June 13 military actions that marked the start of the Operation Rising Lion, the June 13 operation, that encompasses these military actions and other military actions. You can notice how the articles you created redundantly repeat a lot of content between themselves as they mostly discuss the background: That is a good sign that these two topics are naturally a subtopic of a larger topic. They share the background with the entire Operation Rising Lion.
The entire Operation Rising Lion and its background are already discussed in Iran–Israel war (its "Background section" and Iran–Israel war § 13 June; the specific targets are covered in List of attacks during the Iran–Israel war).
The cited guideline provides an answer for what to do here: Sometimes, a notable topic can be covered better as part of a larger article, where there can be more complete context that would be lost on a separate page
and several related topics, each of them similarly notable, can be collected into a single page, where the relationships between them can be better appreciated than if they were each a separate page
.
Because all the other information such as the background and the targets had already been a part of the encyclopedia, essentially, the only new information that you added to the encyclopedia is that when, during June 13's Operation Rising Lion, Israel targeted IRGC commanders, that aspect of the operation was labelled Operation Red Wedding, and when it targeted the nuclear scientists, that aspect of the operation was labelled Operation Narnia... and that these names are taken from Game of Thrones and The Chronicles of Narnia, respectively. We do not need two new articles to say this—it only takes a 1-2 sentence addition to Iran–Israel war.
Sincerely, —Alalch E. 13:39, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

You added Sfn cites but they don't have complete citations like cite book or cite web or whatever for the Sfn format to work. Please take a look at Help:Shortened footnotes#How to create shortened footnotes for instructions. Refs 9, 10, 11, & 12 all have this same problem. If you can get this issue fixed, the article will no longer be in Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. - Shearonink (talk) 01:40, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
