Falsely accusing me of edit warring. I didn't even re-edit more than 3 times. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainbluetiful (talk • contribs) 09:09, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- It is very difficult to follow your posts, mainly because you make a post and then amend it several times. For instance, on my talk page, you started a thread and then amended it four times whilst I was working out a suitable reply; and by the time that I did reply, your initial post had changed significantly; you then amended the initial post again. Therefore:
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 07:30, 31 May 2024 (UTC)

This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion, or advertising again, as you did at Body shape, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Zefr (talk) 00:31, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- I am sorry Zefr, I edited information and what kind of sources or citations are allowed to add? I saw one wikipedia article somewhere that contained a citation coming from a news article and surprisingly it's allowed. I am not going to edit the page again, and it's okay if someone removes my edit. I never started an ad hominem either. Enlighten me about some article/editing issues I am not aware of so I can be careful next time. Rainbluetiful (talk) 18:03, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Edited them since 3 days ago and I didn't even edit them again since then, never went back to the article. And how are publishing these sources soapboxing or promotion I don't understand? Rainbluetiful (talk) 18:04, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Curious to know which kind of wikipedia citations are allowed and which are not.I don't want to argue Rainbluetiful (talk) 18:11, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

- Zefr The reason I edited the "Body Shape" article is I have seen another wikipedia article where it showed this text "Of 6,000 women's body shapes analyzed, 46 percent were described as rectangular, with the waist less than nine inches smaller than the hips or bust. Just over 20 percent of women were bottom-heavy "spoons"—pear shapes, with hips two inches larger than busts or more—, while almost 14 percent were "inverted triangles"—women whose busts were three or more inches bigger than their hips" on the wikipedia article called "Hourglass Figure" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hourglass_figure) and i thought it's okay to add that information, but apparently it isn't? - Hello Rainbluetiful - in your Special:Diff/1331637164 edit on Body shape, you added this US plastic surgeon's commercial website and also this Egyptian cosmetic surgeon's commercial website as sources. Both sites exist to attract business, so can be interpreted as promotions of those businesses, WP:PROMO.
- 'Body shape' is related to human body weight and related clinical issues, such as obesity and diabetes (see right panel of the article). Such topics on Wikipedia adhere to WP:MEDRS as the guideline for choosing independent, high-quality medical sources uninfluenced by promotions for making money. You can see the pyramids for medical evidence quality at WP:MEDASSESS.
- You also inserted this 21 year old news item - a simple web search yields many better references from within the past 5 years, WP:MEDDATE.
- There are 7.1 million articles on the English Wikipedia, and not all are well-patrolled for quality, so there will be uncorrected examples of misstatements and poor sourcing. If you read and follow MEDRS when editing topics concerned with human health or diseases, you will improve your choices for references. Good luck! Zefr (talk) 21:21, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
