October 2025
Hello! Your image was inserted successfully on the page Buddhism and science, but because it appeared to be irrelevant to the article or violated the image use policy, it has been reverted or removed. Please use your sandbox for any tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Wikipedia generally doesn't use WP:AIIMAGES, in part because they can make strange mistakes which the human prompter failed to notice - in this case apparently showing the evolution of humans going backwards and then forwards again. Belbury (talk) 11:20, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- Are you using AI to generate text? In the article you created Buddhists the ISBN don't match the book titles. PhilKnight (talk) 11:35, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- Can we get an answer on the AI use, Rick? Readers and other editors should be made aware of this, on relevant articles, if it's the case that some of the text was written by a chatbot. Belbury (talk) 16:19, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Belbury
- I want to make it clear that I did not use any AI tools in creating this content. Transparency about AI use is important for Wikipedia, but in this case, the text originates entirely from human editing. If any AI-generated content is present elsewhere, it should be properly noted according to WP:AI so that readers and editors can be fully informed. Rick Joseph (talk) 18:11, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 16
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Buddhists, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Amazon. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:55, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Nikhil Siddhartha when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Orphaned non-free image File:The FACE-X-DINO-COVER.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:The FACE-X-DINO-COVER.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:47, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:00, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
Bare categories
Hi, I'd like to let you know that some categories (e.g. Category:List-Class List articles) shouldn't be added directly. Instead, they are added by a specific template. You can find an example of your edit and how I've altered it with the appropriate templates here:

Daily Mail reference at Honeysuckle Weeks
Hi Rick Joseph. Please do not use the Daily Mail as you did at Honeysuckle Weeks. It is not a reliable source. See WP:DAILYMAIL. The WP:DAILYMIRROR is also not a suitable source for such claims. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 15:53, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Adminstats template
You'll want to take the {{adminstats}} template off of your user page, as the template is for WP:ADMIN accounts only, and won't ever show anything on a non-admin user page. Your use of the template could be a little misleading to other editors for suggesting that you might be an administrator.
I don't think there are any equivalent stat templates for regular users, but you can use something like {{User contrib}} to track your number of edits manually, if you wish to. Belbury (talk) 19:25, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
