Speedy Deletion of Independence of Bhutan
Hi, I removed your nomination of Independence of Bhutan for speedy deletion as the category you used is for non-notable articles, and this subject clearly is notable. I saw in your edit comments that you think this article should be part of the main Bhutan article, in which case I suggest you tag the page for WP:Merge. --Deadly∀ssassin 13:53, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Nice! You might like to add more info/references (Japan Times has a nice piece, Nagaya nostalgia: The long and the short of Tokyo's famed 'row houses' you could cite. Also, perhaps consider a project tag on the talk page?

- @Alexandermcnabb: Hello! I definitely plan to add more info, interwikis, and disambiguation notes in the future. I'm mostly active in Russian wiki, and I am not sure when I'll find the time for it. Thank you for the additional source. Cheers, Rijikk (talk) 08:16, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

Machine translations
Hello @Rijikk, I am contacting you regarding the discussion here. This user is participating in the ongoing contest of Emirati Women's Day 2025 on the Arabic Wikipedia, which began on September 3 and ends tomorrow. The contest includes an award for articles written in any of the UN's six languages. This user doesn't know Russian and has no previous contributions to the Russian Wikipedia before September 3, 2025. All of his articles are machine translations, which can harm the quality of the Russian Wiki's content. Therefore, I request you to carefully review and verify all articles he publishes. Thank you.Amr F.Nagy (talk) 18:12, 12 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Amr F.Nagy! I did guess that it is a part of some project from his comments at the first edit of each page.
- If a user doesn't know a certain language at all, it makes no sense for him to create articles in that language. I already requested the deletion of all his articles, since not only their level is very low, but also all the information has to be rechecked. If anyone is interested enough in the topic to improve them in the next few days - excellent, otherwise I will delete at least the ones already nominated for deletion.
- Best regards, Rijikk (talk) 22:44, 12 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Rijikk Thank you for speedy response. I contacted some editors on the Russian Wikipedia about this issue two days ago, but no one has responded yet. As I mentioned before, he writes these articles for one reason (winning a prize) in the contest that awards articles in any of the UN's six languages. His goal isn't about spreading knowledge or contributing seriously to the development of Russian Wikipedia's content.
I'm telling you, "it's a catastrophic thing". Others are doing the same thing on other versions of Wikipedia, ignorant of the languages and entirely dependent on machine translation and AI.
We have already found incorrect information in his articles on Arabic Wikipedia. Attempting to draw this user's attention to "improve" and "addressing his mistakes" is completely impractical, as he will likely turn to machine translation and AI to handle this instead. I also believe he doesn't even seem to be good at English, so that he won't participate in any discussions.
Deleting these articles is the right thing to do. When this user knows Russian, it's okay to contribute to the Russian Wikipedia. Otherwise, his issues will never end, and his articles will continue to burden everyone with review and improvement, taking up a lot of their time.
I truly apologize, but all I can do is report this to someone. Thank you again.--Amr F.Nagy (talk) 23:38, 12 September 2025 (UTC)
