Your submission at Articles for creation: Joel Joseph (musician) (December 24)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Thilio was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Routine coverage of releases and promotional interviews do not establish notability. PLEASE SEE WP:MUSICBIO

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Joel Vicent Joseph when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Reviews are not from reliable sources, no chart history, and still has sources such as Amazon and Spotify which are not acceptable. I do not see this becoming notable unless there are some mainstream reviews or unless it charts.

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Randyjoel per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Randyjoel. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.   Newslinger talk 20:26, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
Greetings Newslinger,
I have seen your tag but am unable to understand how is this account related to RandyJoel or whoever you have linked my account with. Is is with my knowledge that i should declare conflict of interest if am related to the subject and i did as one of the account i recently created i did declare it. With regards to the account you mentioned to be linked to mine i dont know how am connected to them but to the subject i declared conflict of interest yes i know the person and when searched on Wiki i found that there was previous articles about him and i recreated it along with the help of other admin in english help desk to ensure its done properly. So kindly let me know how is this related to previous users who tried to create the articles?. Thanks Sasavara (talk) 13:43, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
Hi Sasavara, since you say that your current account is "one of the account i recently created", do you have any other Wikipedia accounts? The reviewing administrator would need to see this information to properly evaluate your unblock request. You do not appear to have edited the help desk with your current account, and a search there did not reveal anything related to Joel Vicent Joseph. — Newslinger talk 14:44, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
hello Again,
When i say the account i recently created it means the article of Joel Vicent Joseph. And with regards to help desk am referring to the english live Help desk where i had some guidance to recreate Joel Vicent Joseph article. So far i dont own any other wikipedia account. Best regards Sasavara (talk) 15:55, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
It seems like you are referring to the live help chat. Could you please describe what you asked there, and what advice you received? Also, which administrator or editor helped you with recreating the article? — Newslinger talk 18:00, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
yes it was Live help Chat. The guidance was mainly to check which reference meet wikipedia reliable sources and changing few things like i was suggesting to use Mr Joel Joseph since thats the stage name but they suggested to use the name that reference all his stage name.. the name of the chat admin am not sure but it is something with cn+ am not sure but we were going through each sources and learn which one is independent and which is not. So far thats it. Sasavara (talk) 18:10, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for clarifying the chat details. At 16:55, 3 January 2026, you uploaded the photo c:File:Mr Joel Joseph.png to Wikimedia Commons. The photo is currently nominated for deletion at c:Commons:Deletion requests/File:Mr Joel Joseph.png due to licensing concerns. In your upload, you stated that the photo was obtained from a Flickr account named "Jaba" (https://www.flickr.com/photos/166575035@N07/). Who does that Flickr account belong to? — Newslinger talk 18:47, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for the Question,
At first when i was taking my knowledge on how to upload the photo i downloaded it from Flickr and uploaded it directly and later on i learn that there some details required by which the photo was already deleted by the admin so i uploaded it but now using the flickr link as credited. And to answer your question now i dont know who "Jaba" is since when you search Mr Joel Joseph Photo on flickr the photo also appear and and it looks current thats why i uploaded it. let me know if there is any further concern and i will be happy to share what i know .Thank you Sasavara (talk) 06:28, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
When I search Mr Joel Joseph Photo on Google, I see that the photo in question is Joel Vicent Joseph's Facebook profile picture. However, the "Jaba" Flickr account's upload of the photo (https://www.flickr.com/photos/166575035@N07/55006486591/) does not directly appear in Google's search results for me, not even when I search the URL itself.
In 2023, photos related to Joseph (including c:File:Mr Joel Joseph.jpg, c:File:Mrpuaz.jpg, and c:File:Sir joel.jpg) were deleted at c:Commons:Deletion requests/Files found with 156275408@N02 for the same reason (c:Commons:Flickr washing). These photos were uploaded by Ndizibanana (talk · contribs), another sockpuppet of Randyjoel, who stated that the photos were obtained from the Flickr account "Peruzi Media" (https://www.flickr.com/photos/156275408@N02/). One of the photos of Joseph from the "Peruzi Media" page is the same as one of the photos from the "Jaba" page, and the two Flickr accounts additionally each have three photos that appear to be from the same photo shoot.
The reviewing administrator would likely need to see an explanation for this behavioral connection. — Newslinger talk 07:23, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Hello NewsLinger, well i dont have answers to most of your questions because i have no idea. I search it on Flickr website and when you search Mr Joel Joseph Photo on Flickr it appears ( https://www.flickr.com/search/?text=Mr+Joel+Joseph+Photo ) what am sure of is that am not related to the mentioned names perhaps the subject Joel Vicent Joseph/Mr Joel Joseph Knows all that but as for me am just exploring things and share the little knowledge. With that am not sure how i have violated the wikipedia community. And to my best knowledge this is all i know . Thank you Sasavara (talk) 07:29, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
If you are willing to disclose details regarding the nature of your relationship with Joseph (i.e. why you have a conflict of interest with respect to him), that would help clarify the situation for the reviewing administrator. Whether you want to do this is entirely up to you, as you are not obligated to disclose the details of a conflict of interest beyond what you have already done (unless it involves paid editing, for which disclosure is mandatory). — Newslinger talk 07:44, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Well, i also state this to Live Chat as i got the same question. So yes i know Joel from way back and we got separate for a while and he has been sending me his new music that where i started search other things about him online and realized he can actually have a wikipedia with the sources i have seen so took my little study and created my first wikipedia account and created the article. So its not paid but rather just knowing the person up close. Thats why even when i created the article i had to seek guidance from Live Chat. Sasavara (talk) 07:47, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for sharing those details. Based on behavioral evidence, a Wikipedia account with the username Joel Vicent Joseph (talk · contribs) was operated by the same individual as the Randyjoel (talk · contribs) account to attempt to create a promotionally toned article about Joseph. I have no way of determining whether that first account is controlled by Joseph, but the name of the account matches Joseph's name. At this point, I believe we have both shared enough information for the reviewing administrator to examine and make an informed decision. — Newslinger talk 07:54, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Sure thanks for sharing and hope mine will be unblocked so i can continue exploring the wikipedia day by day. Best Regards. Sasavara (talk) 08:00, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Request reason:

Am requesting to be unblocked as i believe my account is not related to the previous users as per the tag, i also reviewed the account described as the sock puppet and i declare here that i have no idea how it is related to my account as for the subject i already declare conflict of interest as i know the person and when i check that he has multiple sources and that there was previous article related to the subject i seek guidance from English Help desk so that i can create it. Other than this there no any other information that i have knowledge of so kindly unblock my account so i can continue share my contribution on wikipedia . Sasavara (talk) 13:52, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Based on the progression of discussion below, as well as the prior discussion with Newslinger, I believe that the most likely explanation is that you are here to carry out paid editing and are not engaging with the community in good faith. signed, Rosguill talk 16:59, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Can you identify what sorts of contributions you intend to make to English Wikipedia if unblocked? signed, Rosguill talk 19:38, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
Hello Rosguill,
Thanks for your question,
If unblocked, I plan to make more helpful and constructive edits to English Wikipedia, improving existing articles by fixing grammar, clarity, and formatting, and by adding or improving citations from reliable sources where needed, correcting small errors, fixing references, and improving article structure. I will stick to non-controversial topics and be careful to follow Wikipedia’s policies on neutrality, sourcing, and original research.
These will be most of it. Thank you Sasavara (talk) 19:57, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
Ok, given your editing history and the history of sockpuppetry and paid editing in relation to topics that you have focused on in the past, I would be willing to unblock you on the condition that you accept a topic ban from biographies of living people, active companies and organizations, and recent publications, all of which are common targets of promotional editing. This restriction will be appealable in the future after you have demonstrated substantial constructive contributions in other areas. Are you amenable to these conditions? signed, Rosguill talk 20:25, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
apparently, i have joined the Wikipedia recently so i only created Joel Vicent Joseph article, submitted two articles. So basically thats all and the one i declared was not a paid but rather someone i know so i declare conflict of interest. Thank you Sasavara (talk) 21:44, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
This doesn't answer Rosguill's queestion. Are you amenable to those conditions? * Pppery * it has begun... 20:51, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Yes i am Sasavara (talk) 14:25, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
Given the prior reply, I would like to see you express this in a complete sentence that describes the scope of the topic ban in your own words, as otherwise I'm not confident that you've understood the proposal. signed, Rosguill talk 15:10, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
Hello Rosguill,
To be honest here am skeptical as till now am still figuring out what are my crimes here as i already explained that i have no relationship with the previous mentioned accounts so am not sure how am i banned from contributing to certain topics if i have not committed anything that is against Wikipedia community guidelines. And when your pushing me to agree to these ban terms legally i feel like i have committed a crime and this is my punishment for my crimes. Am just puting my concern out. If i did not break any wikipedia community guidelines why am i banned from certain wikipedia activities? Can you help me understand this kindly? If by any chance i broke community guidelines that lead me to get banned or blocked then i would appreciate and explanations if thats okay with you. Thanks Sasavara (talk) 16:31, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
additionally, if for a new account should have these conditions or terms i think its important that this should among the rules or guidelines that should be clearly defined so for any new account will not be able to create an article untill proven otherwise. But thats not the case because there is Draft Space Where u can not create an article until the admin has reviewed it. And that all i did so why do i get all these ban conditions? Sasavara (talk) 16:35, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
And my last question also is if i created a subject topic of such as Joel Vicent Joseph where it has some issues with previous account as Sock puppet does this mean even the admin who reviewed it and accept the draft is considered as sock puppet account to the previous mentioned accounts? If another account create Joel Joseph again are they gonna be linked to previous socked puppet account? Am just think out loud to understand all these. Thanks Sasavara (talk) 16:40, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
I'm sorry, this only makes clear that you don't yet understand the situation, and have many misconceptions about Wikipedia editing and process. At present, the edits you have made are highly consistent with prior promotional sockpuppetry in relation to Joel Joseph and Azeezah Hashim. You've denied this, but that's not very persuasive given the evidence available in the form of your editing history. You also gave inconsistent responses to Newslinger, Draft vs. mainspace is not relevant at the moment, and admins do not play any special role in approving articles. Thus, I offered you a path forward that would allow you to return to editing provided that you stay away from articles that have a high potential for paid promotionalism: i.e., articles about living people, recent media releases, and active corporations. If you are actually here to build an encyclopedia, this shouldn't be an issue, as there are millions of articles that do not overlap with these topics.
Having now reviewed your comments again, and reviewed the prior discussion with Newslinger, I believe that the most likely explanation is that you have been lying to us regarding the extent of your relationship with the topics you have edited, and on that basis I am rescinding the offer of a conditional unblock and declining your request. signed, Rosguill talk 16:56, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
