RFA Question 4

Please take a quick look at question 4 at the RFA. It doesn't seem to qualify for RD2 or RD3. It isn't quite that out of line, but I think blanking it may be in order. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:36, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

A monitor for you!

The MONITOR monitor
I thought you did a fantastic job as the monitor at ARN123's RfA – you were diligent, responded to things quickly, and made excellent calls. Thanks for stepping up! theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 03:16, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

This is incredible, thank you! Sennecaster (Chat) 15:04, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

AE thread

Hi Sennecaster. I guess it's not likely to make a difference, but my understanding is that Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement#Talk:Imane Khelif needs to run 24 hours before being closed, per WP:AC/P#Noticeboard outcomes. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 03:58, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

This is correct. -- asilvering (talk) 00:02, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
@Extraordinary Writ; I mean, I can revert it for 4 hours if you want? But whoops, I'll note it for the future. Sennecaster (Chat) 00:04, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
Meh, at this point I guess it's water under the bridge. (I think it would be nine hours rather than four, though.) Extraordinary Writ (talk) 01:56, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
I mean, that's what I get for doing something complicated at midnight, in all honesty, lol. I've made some pretty wild mistakes even at CCI when doing late night stuff. Sennecaster (Chat) 02:02, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

ECR on Talk:Imane Khelif

In your closing statement you specified an ECR protection for Talk:Imane Khelif but did not apply the protection. Is there some reason you did not do so? I ask because there's been a request for page protection but I didn't want to step in without clarifying your thought process. RunningOnBrains(talk) 14:57, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

ECR is not enforced via ECP. Non-EC editors can still make edit requests on the talk page. voorts (talk/contributions) 15:18, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
Hm, if I'm not just reading it wrong, that request was for an increase from semi to EC protection at the article, not the talk? Which actually is a pertinent question. Does it make sense for the article to remain at semi? Does it matter if it "makes sense", or is it good enough that semi has been enough at the article? Valereee (talk) 19:22, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
@Runningonbrains, Voorts is correct that there was no ECP on purpose - to allow for edit requests from non-extended confirmed people, but ban them from contributing to discussions (so ECR is enforced through reverting/removing non-EC comments from discussions/non-edit requests, or striking). That is how I read the AE discussion, at least. @Valereee, it does look like it's for the article itself, though I don't do nearly enough RfPP to help out answering the question if ECP on the article is necessary. Sennecaster (Chat) 23:45, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
It's unfortunate that probably editors at that article can deal more easily with problematic edits than with problematic talk. But if you can't talk about your edits, you can't defend them or come to compromise or all the things that are necessary. It pretty much sucks. Honestly I think if people hadn't been whipped in from social media, we might not be here. Valereee (talk) 00:51, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the discussion all, it looks as if another admin has stepped in to resolve the request in the meantime. RunningOnBrains(talk) 18:14, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

File:Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.jpg

Hello. The Commons copy of the album cover is now nominated for deletion (click/tap this link). What shall be done about the deleted local copy? George Ho (talk) 16:02, 23 March 2026 (UTC)

@George Ho I'll undelete and restore it as NFC, and probably leave a hidden comment or talk page notice about it if it's deleted on Commons. Sennecaster (Chat) 17:05, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
