Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. -FASTILY (TALK) 06:21, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks, will try to use the right carefully. Shenhemu (talk) 06:35, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Sri sri aathkhelia bornaamghar

In regard to this article, I declined speedy deletion because I couldn't see what this article had to do with being a test page. If you believe there is some other speedy deletion criterion that would be more applicable, please feel free to re-tag the article with a different reason for speedy deletion. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 15:37, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

  • The terms Sri sri aathkhelia bornaamghar or aathkhelia bornaamghar have no results on a google search except for this new wiki page. For the benefit of the author, I believe it is a test page. Shenhemu (talk) 10:48, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

List of townships of Anhui

Hi, I've begun drawing up lists but as google translate is poor I'm adding them in Chinese. Can you please help translate them? I hope eventually to have a full list of townships by province. Dr. Blofeld 16:09, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

  • Did you check out the List of administrative divisions of Anhui? As far as I can tell, the townships are already listed in each district page, see, for example Luyang District. If you want to add wikilinks to all these non-existing pages (for later creation), you could work with the existing district pages and just wikify them. What is the added value of another list on township level? -- Shenhemu (talk) 02:06, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Pending changes/Straw poll on interim usage

Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:48, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Greetings!

Just an FYI, I removed the CSD tag you plopped on History of Beed because it would appear as though the editor is splitting the article off from Beed - a long article. Cheers!    Thorncrag   06:02, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

  • OK, but let's watch it for a while. So far, it is only a duplication. Shenhemu (talk) 06:05, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
For sure. Although if the editor doesn't remove it, I'll take the section out as appropriate, unless you feel the split was inappropriate in the first place in which case the split can be discussed on the talk page..    Thorncrag   06:08, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Was considering to edit that myself, but realized the History of Beed mentions lots of "possibles" and "unimportances", and I am not sure about the notability of the city... Shenhemu (talk) 06:17, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Lithium/GA1

Hi, I was wondering if you are still reviewing the GAN. Nergaal (talk) 01:44, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

  • I listed the article GA. Thanks for your improvements! Shenhemu (talk) 04:15, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

GA United Nations Headquarters

Where does this GA nomination stand? Do you help with the article? Perhaps you forgot to leave word with the nominator that the article had been placed on hold. I have added many new references and fixed the dead links. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 14:42, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

  • I have done my best to implement your request. Please reexamine the article. Racepacket (talk) 05:26, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Done, and listed GA. Good work! Shenhemu (talk) 08:56, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

March 2011 GAN backlog elimination drive a week away

WikiProject Good Articles will be running a GAN backlog elimination drive for the entire month of March. The goal of this drive is to bring the number of outstanding Good Article nominations down to below 50. This will help editors in restoring confidence to the GAN process as well as actively improving, polishing, and rewarding good content. If you are interested in participating in the drive, please place your name here. Awards will be given out to those who review certain numbers of GANs as well as to those who review the most. On behalf of my co-coordinator Wizardman, we hope we can see you in March. MuZemike delivered by MuZebot 23:59, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:39, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Please reconsider your vote. Substance alone does not determine primary topic. Page views, number of results in Google Books and News, etc. are far more important. Remember that move discussion are not votes, and if you keep what I have said in mind, you will avoid coming across inexperienced. Xiaoyu: 聊天 (T) 贡献 (C) 05:14, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)

Hello, you are receiving this message because you are currently a participant of WikiProject Good articles. Since the creation of the WikiProject, over 200 user's have joined to help review good article nominations and contribute to other sections of the WikiProject. Over the years, several of these users have stopped reviewing articles and/or have become inactive with the project but are still listed as participates. In order to improve communications with other participants and get newsletters sent out faster (newsletters will begin to be sent out monthly starting in October) all participants that are no longer active with the WikiProject will be removed from the participants list.

If you are still interested in being a participant for this WikiProject, please sign your user name here and please help review some articles so we can reduce the size of the backlog. If you are no longer interested, you do not need to sign your name anywhere and your name will be removed from the participants list after the deadline. Remember that even if you are not interested at this time, you can always re-add your name to the list whenever you want. The deadline to sign your name on the page above will be November 1, 2012. Thank-you. 13:34, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Update for: WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)

Sorry for having to send out a second message but a user has brought to my attention that a point mentioned in the first message should be clarified. If user's don't sign on this page, they will be moved to an "Inactive Participants" list rather then be being removed from the entire WikiProject. Sorry for any confusion.--Dom497 (talk)15:24, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
