- Following an RfC, the web archival service archive.today has been deprecated; links to the site should be removed.
- A request for comment is open to discuss retiring CSD criterion R3 in favour of handling such redirects through RfD.
Arbitration
- Following a motion, remedy 9.1 of the Conduct in deletion-related editing case has been amended to limit TenPoundHammer to one XfD nomination or PROD per 24-hour period.
- Following a motion, the Iskandar323 further POV pushing motion has been rescinded.
- The Arbitration Committee has passed a housekeeping motion rescinding a number of outdated remedies and enforcement provisions across multiple legacy cases. In most instances, existing sanctions remain in force and continue to be appealable through the usual processes, while some case-specific remedies were amended or clarified.

- Following the 2026 Steward Elections, the following editors have been appointed as stewards: A09, AmandaNP, Barras, Count Count, M7, SHB2000, Teles and VIGNERON.

I have been made aware earlier today per a new discussion on Wikipedia talk:Deceased Wikipedians that this user has passed away peacefully, on the previous month of this year.
Many thanks for the 115,000+ edits made on Wikipedia over a timespan of 19 years sjones23 has done and also to the anonymous TA and Sergecross73 for announcing the update about this, see User talk:Sergecross73 for the full story.

- Oh no, this was very saddening to learn about. As the founder of the Studio Ghibli task force, sjones was one of the first people I met here when I was a new editor — I still remember that he left me my welcome message. We continued to run into each other on related articles over the past few years as he made copyedits and refinements. Thank you, sjones, we'll miss you around here. - As a fellow anime and manga project editor who has worked with Sjones23 several times, I am very saddened to hear this. His work on a wide range of topics, like English voice actors and manga, will be remembered for years to come. Editors like him are why I've decided to stick around here for so many years and are an inspiration for my own work on this site. I send my best wishes to any family, friends, and other peers. - I'm deeply saddened to hear this. To my regret, I never interacted with this user personally, yet his amazing work on so many articles left a strong impression anyway. Looking through the long history of his userpage, I see the story of someone who dedicated over half his life to an unconditionally good cause, without expectation of any recognition or reward. May his efforts live on through the millions of readers who have read and will read articles improved by his contributions, and come away more informed than before -- though they may not know the name of the one who quietly helped them, that will not limit their gratitude.

- I've only learned about this recently, and as a fellow WP:ANIME editor I'm devastated to see this. I still remember that barnstar you gave me over six years ago. At the time you told me about your hopes that I would be able to be unblocked, and three years later I was.
