ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:51, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

So template

as {{So}} is only a redirect, it might be worth [your] while checking if it has any significant usage? It is not at all an obvious shortcut to a block declaration. (But then again why does the destination template begin "soa"?) 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 13:48, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

You're right, it seems to be almost unused. Guess I can safely assume I will be allowed to repurpose it then. (soa I believe stands for spam or advertisement based on what that block declaration is for? But why would that abbreviate to "so"?) Slovborg (talk) 14:51, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
I guess you might have to ask your friendly local admin re what is needed to take it over. Can you identify the most recent user (as I suspect that it may be their habitual use). Maybe they will accept {{Soa}} instead? (That's another shortcut to {{Uw-soablock}}). Your proposed use makes a lot more sense and is more or less the only practical way to enter the notation short of jumping through hoops. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 15:35, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nemi language, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Labiovelar consonant was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 12:37, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

DYK for LHS 1903

On 25 February 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article LHS 1903, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that scientists have discovered a planetary system that can be described as "inside-out"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/LHS 1903. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, LHS 1903), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Hook update
Your hook reached 9,738 views (811.5 per hour), making it one of the most viewed hooks of February 2026 – nice work!

I saw your revert of my edit on Nemi language & edit summary. If a link to the disambiguation page is best please follow the guidance at WP:INTDAB. Thanks. Rod talk 17:32, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
