  • Your precious contributions will be missed. Condolences to family and friends. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:22, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
  • No way has my old friend departed from this Earth already, you were meant to be a famous actor and director/screenwriter and definitely had the charisma and talent as a person to be successful. What happened? Only 34! You emailed me earlier in the year and we had a discussion about crappy contemporary Hollywood films! I had no idea it would be the last time we would ever speak, just goes to show that how you treat any one person at any one moment is so important! I've shown my thank you for your great work here by writing your obituary, so soon after another dear friend of mine, MarnetteD passed, and have named a Film, TV and Literature Award in the World Destubathon after you both to honour you. I wish there was some way we could have spoken soon before you passed! Rest in peace my friend, you will never be forgotten. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:21, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
  • May Krimuk's soul be at peace. I had the great pleasure of collaborating with him on the Jennifer Lawrence article, and saw countless other valuable contributions from this guy. He's somebody we lost way too soon. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 17:15, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
  • So sad. Based on his work here, there's no doubt he was a wonderful, kind and sensitive person. He'll be missed and always remembered for his extraordinary contributions. May his soul rest in peace. ShahidTalk2me 20:26, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
  • Completely shocked at hearing this news. I helped Smaro get Catherine Zeta Jones through FAC at the second attempt, and it was a joy to work alongside someone so passionate and dedicated. A great editor and a really nice guy - he will be sadly missed. - SchroCat (talk) 07:36, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
  • Rest in peace. – DreamRimmer 09:34, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
  • Your FA article Rani Mukerji is the reason I have a Wikipedia account today. I was struck by how well-written it was and felt inspired to expand Manisha Koirala along similar lines. The impact of your contributions here on Wikipedia, and I'm sure in your life, will be felt for a very long time. Rest in peace, Krimuk. DeluxeVegan (talk) 12:02, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
  • I am shocked to hear that dear Krimuk has passed away. His contributions to Wikipedia were priceless. I don't think anyone would be able to replace him, considering he had such vast knowledge when it came to topics about Indian cinema. May he rest in peace. His legacy will remain forever with us in the form of various articles that he contributed to. Keivan.fTalk 18:18, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
  • I was deeply saddened to hear this tragic news. I remember how, in my early days of editing on Wikipedia, he thanked me for one of my edits. His contributions were insightful, and I learned so much from them. It’s hard to believe he’s no longer with us. His memory will live on and be cherished.GodNey (talk) 23:04, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
  • I was wondering why your name hadn't been popping up on my watchlist lately. Smaro, the wonderful and thoughtful editor he was, would regularly update my FAs. If not for him, they would've long lost their status for being outdated but that was only a small part of all the fantastic work he did around here. He was one of the best editors of Bollywood film articles. Rest in peace, my friend. Gone far too young. You will be missed. :'( FrB.TG (talk) 22:28, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
  • Rest In Peace. --Sheminghui.WU (talk) 07:25, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
  • I was also shocked to hear about this. I agree that he will be missed and may he rest in peace. I have a lot of respect for his work on here, and I am sure that it will continue to inspire editors in the future. Aoba47 (talk) 18:45, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
    • Krimuk there is no way you can do this to me. I have genuinely been wondering for days why my contributions have't been refined by you and it genuinely pains me to see you go despite all of our differences. I cannot process this immense loss despite not even knowing you in real life. You were a kind soul, always willing to help. It's crazy but you genuinely made me a better editor and I probably would have been writing terribly without you. Thank you for the impact you may not have known you had. Rest in power (:

  • Rest in Peace and my deepest condolences to your family and loved ones. sjones23 (talk - contributions) 13:02, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
  • I am shocked to only just find out this sad news. Thank you for supporting me while I was laying the foundation for the Call Me by Your Name article. I'll never forget your kindness or the barnstar you gave me; my first ever on the English Wikipedia. Thank you for everything. Rest easy. Damian Vo (talk) 15:27, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
  • The news of Smaro's/Krimuk's passing has greatly pained me. I fondly remember him as an avid filmbuff and the kindest of souls I had ever come across on here. I also remember my collaboration with him on bringing the Awards list of Piku to FL status. The collaboration inspired me to work on many other other filmography FLs like Steve McQueen, Ajith Kumar, Vijay and MGR to name a few. Also award-based FLs such as Moneyball and Tree of Life were inspired by his works. May you rest in peace, Smaro Da.  Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 10:45, 3 March 2026 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Special Barnstar
It's a shock. They were one of the most prolific editors around with a great passion for films. ICTF will miss you, brother. One final barnstar for all your contributions. Good night, Krimuk2.0  Benison (Beni · talk) 07:13, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
