Hi. I've noticed your edits at the table at Foreign relations of the United Kingdom and I think there's a misunderstanding with the dates. In many cases, (especially with former British territories) the first British ambassador/high commissioner presented their credentials on the same day that the receiving country gained independence - for example the British ambassador to Timor-Leste on 20 May 2002 (day the country gained independence). This is when diplomatic relations begins and for me this is under Common sense is not original research. I hope we can sort this out and thank you for your sizeable work on the page. I previously believed this, however multiple examples of dates (such as with Afghanistan, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Israel, Thailand, etc) were incorrect when compared to a source that states the date of establishing diplomatic relations. The date of the presentation of the appointment of an ambassador or opening of an embassy are rarely the same as the date denoted to diplomatic relations. Therefore, the source must specify state when diplomatic relations were established. However thank you for fixing Cambodia, that was an error on my behalf. Hi, SteveoLaker. I've noticed you are over categorizing treaty articles by adding subcats with parent cats. For instance on India–United Kingdom Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement you added Category:Premiership of Keir Starmer and Category:Keir Starmer. The most fitting category is Category:Premiership of Keir Starmer as it is more directly related to his tenure in office than his main category.

You can edit and create pages about UK relations with other countries, for example United Kingdom relations with Latvia, Luxembourg, Finland, Tuvalu (I don't know much about this country, but there should be sources, but there weren't any, so I didn't create this page), and something else. And were there people who might be interested in other countries that haven't been added yet, meaning pages where a president or prime minister has visited the country? And you can edit about Joint Expeditionary Force and could there be JEF leaders' summits from 2014 to 2022? Yes I have been creating and editing UK relations pages for a while now so I’m sure I’ll get around to those specific countries.

In relation to the JEF summits, yes I added the summit section and I agree that the whole page needs to be updated. There wasn’t any previous summits as they were created as a response to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Could there be any virtual JEF summits? Is it true that the first JEF summit took place in March 2022 in London? And something was mentioned that foreign leaders were invited virtually at the JEF summits, something needs to be added. Yes it appears you are correct that there was a virtual summit in February 2022 and a London one in March 2022.

Yes JEF was created in response to the invasion of Crimea, however I would highly recommend against editing page based on assumptions—particularly as you can quickly google search for an article or ask an AI model to find the information (though check its sources actually back up what it says). You can put just about any information on a Wikipedia page so long as it is anbout the topic and is referenced by a reliable source (almost any news or government source).
