Uncle Abner

Hi, thanks for your edits on Uncle Abner. I see from your page that you are in television production. When I first learned about the character, and Ellery Queen's assessment of him, the question came to to me, why has American television not built a tv series, let alone a single program, about him? With a little more research, I think I understand why.

But then I look at some other American characters including Lew Archer (only 6 episodes?) and C. Auguste Dupin. Any thoughts? Is it simply cheaper to do modern era material? Verne Equinox (talk) 00:19, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
