RfC on MOS:ALBUM guidance on bonus and alternative tracks on album articles

I have started an RfC on the guidance of MOS:ALBUM regarding bonus tracks and alternative tracklistings on album articles: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject_Albums/Album article style advice#RfC on alternative tracklistings and bonus tracks on album_articles. As you were involved in a previous discussion that led to the current guidance at MOS:ALBUM, I thought you might be interested in this RfC.--3family6 (Talk to me|See what I have done) 13:45, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

Wheels Fall off by Ty Dolla $ign

I’m writing to alert you that someone is attempting to remove the Wikipedia page for Wheels Fall Off by Ty Dolla Sign. They are claiming the page is invalid due to Reddit and TikTok sources.

I’m concerned that the page is being targeted unfairly. Could you please review this situation and prevent the page from being removed while I update and improve the sourcing to fully comply with Wikipedia guidelines?

Thank you for your attention. TheOmgNoway6494 (talk) 22:54, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

@TheOmgNoway6494:
Fourth time I'm telling you and you already have several warnings on your talk page for the same thing
You can't use social media posts made by just any user as a source. This is an encyclopedia. Read the rules.

@TheOmgNoway6494:
You started an WP:EDITWAR (I told you 4 times not to do it) and have just been warned on your talk page. User talk:TheOmgNoway6494#October_2025 ItsMario97 (talk) 23:05, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
All your arguments when you started your edit war (even though I told you 4 times not to do it) were:
"Not an edit war, you are making an unvalid statement on why you are removing content that I CREATED WITH MY OWN TIME."
"Not a valid reason, and you arent a mod" ItsMario97 (talk) 23:09, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
I'm not trying to communicate with you, I'm talking with the moderator I have messaged. TheOmgNoway6494 (talk) 00:15, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
Firstly, Wikipedia doesn't have mods/moderators, we have administrators. Second, TheAmazingPeanuts isn't an administrator. Third, administrators handle conduct, not content. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) 00:21, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
As for the content in question; Reddit, Genius and TikTok are all examples of user generated content. Albums need to meet either the general notability guideline or the music album notability guidlines. User generated content is largely unacceptable as sources, and do not contribute to GNG. As such, the article in its current form fails GNG and would likely be deleted if notability wasn't shown through other independent, reliable sources with significant coverage of the subject in question. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) 00:30, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

Good Kiid MAAD City

Why did you undid my citation for kendrick Lamar's Good Kid MAAD City Apple Music 100 best album? How is that not a publication when other pages that DO have the same websites are accepted, but not that album. Can you please explain why you have issues with my citations? Badabingbadaboong (talk) 17:05, 3 December 2025 (UTC)

The pages that do have those websites cited are Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and Pure Heroine by Lorde. I used the same websites as those citations, and those were accepted. But you did not accept those. Why is that? Badabingbadaboong (talk) 17:08, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
Apple Music is not an reliable source, we use publications not streaming services (WP:RS) TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 02:56, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
If that's the case, then why did you delete my other citation which is a publication and is NOT a streaming service? Second, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill page used that SAME website, yet it wasn't deleted. Why was that website for that page still on, but not Good Kid MAAD City? Badabingbadaboong (talk) 04:13, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
First of all, direct your efforts at discussing your changes at the article's talk page rather than reinstating them (WP:BRD), and I don't care whether another article has the list or not; it's completely irrelevant to the discussion of whether Apple Music is considered a reliable source. Hello! It's been some time since we last interacted, but I am currently planning on significantly expanding Abel's article for After Hours (The Weeknd album) (as I'm planning on doing with his discography for my own little hobby). and potentially bring it to FAC in the future. I wanted to approach you with this as you are one of the major contributors to the article and I would love to ask you, if it gets to FAC, would you be opposed to being a co-nom with me in the future? You were the first Wikipedian to have to tell me that Wikipedia needs reliable sources... which took you a few reverts and talk page notices to get inside my brain (I'm still sorry about that!). Thank you for all you have done, and will do in the future, you are one of the most highest appreciated editors in the Wikipedia music community :) 𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘦𝘭'𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘺, 03:33, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

I believe it would be much easier for you to achieve good article status for After Hours than to reach featured article status, as I have observed some editors attempting to elevate articles to featured status but ultimately failing multiple times. I suggest you start with After Hours, getting the good article and other Weeknd-related articles to good article status first and working on them to featured article status later. Considering a good article nomination for Blonde (Frank Ocean album)

Hello TheAmazingPeanuts,

I read the article for Frank Ocean's Blond and thought it was very well written with lots of information as well. I made some minor edits and additions to the page and was wondering if you could look over at it and consider nominating it for a good article. I would do it myself but one of the criteria is that the nomination should be someone that has heavily worked on the page per WP:GANI. I noticed you worked on the page extensively and thus may be a good person to nominate the article. I've read through the criteria and it appears to meet it, but of course the good article nomination would look stronger if it was coming from you. BlondArkhangel (talk) 20:16, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I don't think it matters who edit the article the most, I think only it matters who improve the article. Since you seem to somewhat new here, my advice is that you follow the guidelines WP:ALBUMSTYLE and WP:ALBUM/SOURCE. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 03:54, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
