Hi, I see you've contributed a lot to Malays (ethnic group), would you be interested in a taskforce on oral tradition? Kowal2701 (talk) 20:48, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

Thank you so much for the offer; it's truly an honor. However, I'm currently balancing several commitments and may not be able to contribute effectively at this time. However, I would love to reconsider in the future. د بڠساون (talk) 00:54, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

KLIA incidents

Since you are fixing and improving Malaysian Airports and airlines articles, can you also re-add the accidents and incidents that happened at KLIA at the article Kuala Lumpur International Airport, including the 2001 Saudia Boeing 747 incident, the 2017 Kim Jong nam Assassination, the 2018 case where Syrian refugee Hassan Al Kontar was stuck at the airport for months before getting asylum to Canada, 2017 van crash, 2024 KLIA airport shooting and the airport staff punching a foreigner that happened this month? Thanks Metrosfan (talk) 06:14, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for your suggestions. These are indeed interesting cases and I will review them thoroughly. I am curious as to why other editors have not included them in the airport’s article, given their potential significance.--د بڠساون (talk) 06:30, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
@The Bangsawan it used to exist but some users slowly removed them and it was somehow never added back, By the way you can also check the history old versions of the pages up to 2018 and then it will show some past incidents that happened at the airport Metrosfan (talk) 04:38, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi there! Congratulations on creating the Khao kaeng article. Could you please fix the dates in references 2 & 4 to remove the red errors? Thanks, and happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 21:00, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for the kind words.

SKS Airways and MYAirline

since you have modified other Malaysian carriers articles, can you also modify and fix these two articles? Thanks Metrosfan (talk) 07:19, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for your message.
SKS Airways was one of the first articles I worked on, and it has since rebranded as True Air. However, I recently noticed that the MAVCOM (Malaysian Aviation Commission) official website indicates the expiration of True Air's Air Service License (ASL).
At this point, I'm still awaiting an official announcement from the company before proceeding with any updates. د بڠساون (talk) 09:05, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Sources

Hi, thanks for your efforts adding sources to Kota Kinabalu International Airport - it’s much appreciated. A couple points though - Aeroroutes isn’t considered a reliable source unfortunately, as it’s a WP:SPS, per the discussion at WP:AEROROUTES. Also, could you please use edit summaries to explain the edits you’re making. Even something simple like “adding sources” is infinitely more useful to editors than no summary at all. Thanks! Danners430 tweaks made 13:02, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for the feedback and for clarifying this. Regarding the routes currently in operation, my difficulty is that I do not have access to specific news articles announcing them. The information is based on the airlines’ active booking systems and the fact that the flights are currently operating, which can also be observed on Flightradar24. If Aeroroutes and booking pages are considered insufficient as sources, could you advise on the preferred approach in this situation? د بڠساون (talk) 13:18, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
Hi, I do understand it's tricky to find sources for currently operating routes sometimes… my best advice is simply to search for the route and see if it gets mentioned somewhere in a news article. It's not uncommon to find an article announcing a completely unrelated route, but at the bottom of the page it says "Airline X also flies to Example Airport, Ditto Airfield and Foo International Airport" - and that would be perfect for what we're looking for. In and of itself, Aeroroutes is exactly what we're looking for - the issue with that specific site (and its predecessor Routes Online) is that it's run by a single person without any form of editorial oversight (hence WP:SPS - but similar websites would be ideal.
Unfortunately we have to remember that Wikipedia operates on WP:Verifiability not truth… in an ideal world we could just link the airline's route map, but for now that's been agreed as not sufficient (WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT) - something I hope I can change in the near future. Danners430 tweaks made 13:39, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
I understand that sourcing currently operating routes can be challenging, and I appreciate the guidance on looking for mentions in news sources. However, I’ve noticed that several active and important routes at Kota Kinabalu Airport have been removed. As a frequent user, I suggest temporarily restoring these routes with a “citation needed” tag so they can be reviewed individually. Many of these routes are still listed on airline booking websites and the Kota Kinabalu Airport schedule. Given that Kota Kinabalu Airport is the second-busiest airport in Malaysia, these routes are significant and active. د بڠساون (talk) 14:00, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
Sorry but that's simply not how Wikipedia works - they've been there for ages without sources. Since you're actively working on the article, I don't want to go in and potentially cause an edit conflict - but can you please remove the unsourced content you've restored as well as the unreliable sources (Aeroroutes) which you've also restored. I removed them for a reason, so I don't understand why you're restoring them. Danners430 tweaks made 14:39, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for the clarification. I understand your concern about unsourced content and I will start by removing the Aeroroutes references as suggested. د بڠساون (talk) 14:54, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
