Hello, welcome to my talk page. Local etiquette:

  • Please sign your messages with ~~~~.
  • I like to assume good faith - please copy my example!
  • Messages which are rude or abusive will be deleted, not answered.
  • Some WP style rules baffle me, and are NOT observed on my own talk pages; for example, all sentences end with a full stop, even in lists or photo captions; and titles like Chief Inspector are always written with capital letter initials. This is because those WP style guidelines are simply wrong!

Welcome

Invitation to participate in a research

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team

John Pelling Artist and Clergyman

There are crucial facts left out of the Wikipedia entry for John Pelling. He was first married to Francoise (Pelling) and they had 4 sons. There is ample evidence of this online : photographs of him, Francoise and their sons ~2026-15447-95 (talk) 02:09, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Wikipedia is a collaborative open source publication. Nobody "owns" an article, and anybody can contribute. Different editors add to each article, according to their own resources. If you want to add to the John Pelling article, then you can do so. It is advisable (though not mandatory) to create an account, and you MUST be able to back up anything you add from reliable independent sources. It is not enough to say "I just know this to be true" - there must be independent evidence, that you are able to reference. Generally speaking, other people won't add material for you - each person makes their own contributions, and they are peer-reviewed by the whole community.
