Hi, I saw your edit on Fairfield, California, then noticed in your contributions history that you've made a large number of these edits. Rather than replace (tm) with the unicode symbol, you should remove it completely, per MOS:TMRULES. Hope that helps. Schazjmd (talk) 14:32, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

Tonymetz, a good rule on Wikipedia is...before making a unique change to hundreds of articles, check first to make sure there isn't a rule against it. Would you be able to go back and remove them all? Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 15:19, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
I’ll look into the rule. The good news is that the Unicode code point is even more searchable so cleanup will be doable if needed Tonymetz 💬 16:37, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
Cleanup is needed, as was stated prior. Please do so. — dαlus+ Contribs 07:11, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
The other comments were helpful in highlighting relevant MOS:TMRULES . I've listened to @Magnolia677 & @Schazjmd by slowing down ™ changes , reviewing relevant policy & monitoring reverts & thanks. The changes abide by MOS:TMRULES, which allow for exceptions, while improving accessibility and readability. Feedback has been positive: more thanks than reverts and only a few reverts out of 800+ edits. I'm sure we can agree the articles are in a better place than before. @Daedalus969 please do try to be more civil in your approach, and share how you can help. I'm sure we both want to improve wikipedia wherever we can. Tonymetz 💬 17:48, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
What about my approach is uncivil? And the fact that your edits haven't been reverted yet is because you made a lot of them in a short time; clean up would be massive, and as was requested, you need to do that yourself. Moreover, you state that the changes abide by the rules. This is false:
> Do not use the ™ and ® symbols, or similar, in either article text or citations, unless unavoidably necessary for context.
> use: LittleBigPlanet, Realtor
> avoid: LittleBigPlanet™, REALTOR®
Please revert yourself. This is the 5th main bullet point from TMRULES. — dαlus+ Contribs 18:31, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Actually reverts aren't useful; reverts just restore the incorrect (tm) that Tony replaced with the unicode symbol. They should be manually removed. I'm cleaning up some of Tony's edits now, since he didn't go back to do it. Schazjmd (talk) 18:34, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
I agree reverts are not useful . Tonymetz 💬 18:44, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
assuming good faith, I appreciate you reiterating what the others have shared about WP:MOS. I've decided against bulk revert. The changes improve the encyclopedia. WP doesn't have rules. It is inappropriate for you to demand that I take a certain action. Tonymetz 💬 18:49, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
They do not follow the MOS, and as such they do not improve it. I didn't tell you to do it; I requested that you do it. Despite the fact that WP "doesn't have rules", it most certainly does; there are definitely some rules that shouldn't be broken, which is not to say that you did that. But with respect, you made a massive amount of changes. Forcing us to clean up after you isn't right, without contributing to the fixes yourself. — dαlus+ Contribs 18:55, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
from my perspective, I've heard everything you have to say. The changes don't meet the MOS bar, and you would like me to revert them. I have heard your requests. I'm not hearing anything new here. Please stop. Tonymetz 💬 19:01, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
@Magnolia677 & @Schazjmd another editor helped to bulk delete the ™️ so the articles are now in the desired state. thanks for helping engage on this Tonymetz 💬 21:06, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

  • Special report: What actually happened during the Wikimedia security incident?
A horrifying exploit took place, which could have had catastrophic and far-reaching consequences if used maliciously; instead, it seems to have happened by accident and was used for childish vandalism. How did this happen, and what did the script actually do?

Question from IN SEARCH OF CASE (17:38, 22 March 2026)

Hello how can add a background --IN SEARCH OF CASE (talk) 17:38, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

Just a heads-up: You generally cannot add a background to a standard article. It violates WP:MOSCOLOR and WP:ACCESS, as custom colors often break readability for users on mobile or those using screen readers.
However, if you're working on your user page, you can use a
wrapper with inline CSS. Here is the standard wikitext for that:
Code snippet
Your content goes here.
If you just want to highlight a specific line, use the {{bg}} template:
This text has a light yellow background.
Keep in mind that if you add this to a live encyclopedia article, it will likely be reverted by an editor for not being encyclopedic in appearance. Stick to your user namespace for the creative stuff! Tonymetz 💬 20:19, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

Alice Duport-Percier moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Alice Duport-Percier. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boynamedsue (talk) 15:22, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

While I appreciate your attention here, I think this could have been handled via the Talk page. The page has been active , reviewed for quality level, referenced on other timely pages, for quite some time. Could you please revert your changes and open up discussion before taking unilateral action? Tonymetz 💬 22:29, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
It would also help for you to be specific about how the page is not meeting your quality expectations. Tonymetz 💬 22:32, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
