Welcome-ish!
Hey @VacFiller!
Saw your recent efforts at Gifford Pinchot National Forest and I have to say, well done...well done indeed! I made a few corrections in regards to date layouts in references (a total page issue and not exclusive to you) and converted The Columbian citation from {cite web} to [cite news}. I noticed you did the work via visual editor, which I am not familiar enough with, but do keep in mind that in United States-related articles, dates should be spelled out, Month-Day-Year. (see WP:CITESTYLE and WP:DATEFORMAT among so many others...)
So, no big deal! The guideline, WP:CLUE can say it better than me, and my goal here is to encourage you to particiapte more...we need editors like you!
Hope to see you around more often and until then, happy to have you here!

- @OlympiaBuebird Thanks for the comments and tips! I do notice a lot of inconsistencies in date formats in particular, so have generally just followed what I see used on page. I also went with web cite as it was the digital edition accessed and thought that appropriate as I wasn't sure about it being in the physical edition of the paper. Will bookmark these as good references! VacFiller (talk) 21:53, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
