Same here Special:Diff/1265768360/1266545751 and here Special:Diff/1260909892. What's the point? It'll always be reverted. Ponor (talk) 08:54, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
Wider urban area of Split has almost 300,000 inhabitants, not 149,000... Visaches 37 (talk) 01:48, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
Hey Visaches 37. That's just how we modeled the population data in our Croatian settlement (naselje) infoboxes. We take the population of a municipality as the total municipality, and if its name is the same as the name of its urban core/city centre we use the core settlement population in the parameter "urban population". For most municipalities that really is the most urban settlement, as opposed to the more rural ones. So for the City of Split (Croatia) the whole city population of 160577 is split between Donje Sitno, Gornje Sitno, Kamen, Slatine, Split (population: 149830), Srinjine, Stobreč, and Žrnovnica.
You're telling me that the metropolitan population (param population_metro) might be around 300000. That's possible, but we need a reliable source for the number. I don't think the Croatian Bureau of Statistics has it, and I don't know where to find one. Ponor (talk) 05:49, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
I understand. The problem is that the boundaries of municipalities in today's Croatia are very weird. So, for example, the settlement of Slatine on the island of Čiovo is part of the city of Split, while Solin, which is a Split district or suburb, has the status of a separate city... Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Rijeka, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sušak. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
