This is regarding your reverting of my edit to Howard Morris.

Whay did you revert my edit? Howard Morris did provide his voice acting for the Miision: Magic Saturday morning cartoon series. He voiced Vinnie, Socks Mr. Samuels, Tut Tut, Ptolemy, additional voices. If you check the Wikipedia article for the cartoon series, whose link I provided, it will show Howard Morris among the voice cast list. It is there. All you need to do is check it out for yourself, and you'll see his name on the list. His name is also on the lists of both the IMDB pages for Howard Morris and Mission: Magic!.

If he is credited for the roles in the show, Template:Cite episode may be used to cite the credits themselves, but a reliable secondary source discussing the roles would be better. Hello, Waxworker. This message is being sent to remind you of significant upcoming changes regarding logged-out editing.

Starting 4 November, logged-out editors will no longer have their IP address publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account (TA) associated with their edits. Users with some extended rights like administrators and CheckUsers, as well as users with the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) user right will still be able to reveal temporary users' IP addresses and all contributions made by temporary accounts from a specific IP address or range.

How do temporary accounts work?

• When a logged-out user completes an edit or a logged action for the first time, a cookie will be set in this user's browser and a temporary account tied with this cookie will be automatically created for them. This account's name will follow the pattern: ~2025-12345-67 (a tilde, year of creation, a number split into units of 5).
• All subsequent actions by the temporary account user will be attributed to this username. The cookie will expire 90 days after its creation. As long as it exists, all edits made from this device will be attributed to this temporary account. It will be the same account even if the IP address changes, unless the user clears their cookies or uses a different device or web browser.
• A record of the IP address used at the time of each edit will be stored for 90 days after the edit. Users with the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) user right will be able to see the underlying IP addresses.
• As a measure against vandalism, there are two limitations on the creation of temporary accounts:
  • There has to be a minimum of 10 minutes between subsequent temporary account creations from the same IP (or /64 range in case of IPv6).
  • There can be a maximum of 6 temporary accounts created from an IP (or /64 range) within a period of 24 hours.

Temporary account IP viewer user right

• Administrators may grant the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) user right to non-administrators who meet the criteria for granting. Importantly, an editor must make an explicit request for the permission (e.g. at WP:PERM/TAIV)—administrators are not permitted to assign the right without a request.
• Administrators will automatically be able to see temporary account IP information once they have accepted the Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy via Special:Preferences or via the onboarding dialog which comes up after temporary accounts are deployed.

Impact for administrators

• It will be possible to block many abusers by just blocking their temporary accounts. A blocked person won't be able to create new temporary accounts quickly if the admin selects the autoblock option.
• It will still be possible to block an IP address or IP range.
• Temporary accounts will not be retroactively applied to contributions made before the deployment. On Special:Contributions, you will be able to see existing IP user contributions, but not new contributions made by temporary accounts on that IP address. Instead, you should use Special:IPContributions for this (see a video about IPContributions in a gallery below).

Rules about IP information disclosure

• Publicizing an IP address gained through TAIV access is generally not allowed (e.g. ~2025-12345-67 previously edited as 192.0.2.1 or ~2025-12345-67's IP address is 192.0.2.1).
• Publicly linking a TA to another TA is allowed if "reasonably believed to be necessary". (e.g. ~2025-12345-67 and ~2025-12345-68 are likely the same person, so I am counting their reverts together toward 3RR, but not Hey ~2025-12345-68, you did some good editing as ~2025-12345-67)
• See Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer § What can and can't be said for more detailed guidelines.

Useful tools for patrollers

• It is possible to view if a user has opted-in to view temporary account IPs via the User Info card, available in Preferences → Appearance → Advanced options → Enable the user info card
  • This feature also makes it possible for anyone to see the approximate count of temporary accounts active on the same IP address range.
• Special:IPContributions allows viewing all edits and temporary accounts connected to a specific IP address or IP range.
• Similarly, Special:GlobalContributions supports global search for a given temporary account's activity.
• The auto-reveal feature (see video below) allows users with the right permissions to automatically reveal all IP addresses for a limited time window.

Thank you for correcting me, didn't know that IMDb is unreliable! But that raises a question, how can I cite a source for an actor being part of a project while they're uncredited? The only source outside of IMDb I have is... well, my own ears, clearly hearing that actor's voice which is unique enough to be identifiable. @Avidanalyst: - IAbot may be used by clicking on "Fix dead links" in the page history of the article you want to run the bot on, and then when it's finished running you can open the archive links added to double check that they work, and replace them with working archives/remove bad archives as needed. IAbot works erratically and frequently has a a high delay of several hours or days, which in my experience generally leads to the tool not running on the page at all and timing out. There is literally a fan translation mentioned of Tear Ring Saga on the same page and it doesnt have a reference at all as far as I can tell. I just expanded on this idea. As far as the forums are concerned I think you're taking it too far with your bad source claim since this is about whether or not my claim is true and proveable. The mention of the 2012 fan translation on the article was sourced to this article from Retro Collect, which appears to be a WP:BLOG (the site's staff page only lists one person and every news post on the site appears to be attributed to them despite the page discussing a small team) - I've removed it as it does not appear reliable. The claim that that it was completed in 2016 was also unsourced. If reliable sources do not discuss the translation, it should not be discussed on the article. Well, at least you are being consistent, however imho you are doing the users a real disservice here by removing correct and useful information. Fan translations are being released on forums and fan sites mostly. The information that they exist to Japan-exclusive games are pure gold for players who don't speak Japanese. And then saying that the official release page is unreliable information because it's a forum or fan-site is pushing the source claim to absurdity. The creators of the translations themselves post information on who did it, when, how and give preview pictures and a download to the respective translation. What more proof do you need that they exist? Do you want the president of your country to officially announce it? Everybody who had the links I had provided to the respective translation could within a few minutes effortlessly prove the existence of said translation to upmost certainty. The files themselves contain ReadMe text files which also confirm the dating, and obviously the files themselves are proof of their existence. Initially, I wanted to cite a source but I realized that the other game lists did not have sources so I didn't know whether where the proper placement would be. Aside that, which would be a more reliable source? There are the audio files on archive.org. There are also entries of this track as part of SSX 3 soundtrack track list on Genius. Other wikis also say this song was part of the game list as I did see also see the track name in the game itself (but I understand this can be questioned). Ah, that's exactly what was the reason for the reversions. I normally go by GameFAQ's and do a double check to see if D3 really did publish the game or not (as GameFAQs is user-generated, as you know already, it's not always reliable).

The other title I believe is some mobile game, but its generic name made me lose on research just now, so when I create the page as a standalone one i'll remove that one. @~2026-75861: - The Dailymotion link is a copyright issue per WP:COPYLINK, and thetvdb is an unreliable WP:USERGENERATED source. Straight-forward episode synopses do not require a source as the source is presumed to be the episode itself, but air dates do. Your edits to the article have been WP:REVDELLed due to being a copyright violation and thus I can't re-review the content added, but I recall unsourced airdates being added, and the episode summaries were also excessively long - a few sentences per episode would be more apt. Hiya! Completely forgot about putting the sources, my mistake! I've had a quick cursory glance at the guidance for reliable sources and I'm unsure whether the pages for the releases on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store would count for release dates. Do you think that'd be fine? I don't have anything else to go off for the exact dates (bar just asking him) since the announcement was made on Dec. 30th when the Xbox release went up, despite the PlayStation release supposedly releasing earlier according to the store page. I doubt I'm going to be able to find a source quickly on the game engine, so I'm fine to drop that. Walaber has mentioned it before but never really in any sort of 'official' capacity. I see you reverted my edits in My Little Pony: Magic Princess. In the "Windows" section, it says the game was available on the Microsoft Store until October 2023, but that's incorrect. Thanks for your pointers on my additions, yes I should have found some citations for the Puss In Boots entry. I thought / was hoping someone would just mark it as 'needing citation' like one of the other entries, or do a quick search and add it themselves, however I think I've fixed it now, added 2 citations.

I can understand about the CAE page. Robert W Cooke was my grandfather I am named after him (Robert II), I know he took over as president of CAE in the 60's from Mr Tooley, they were good friends, my Dad (his son) told me many stories about them.

At the moment I don't have documentation or exact dates. It is located in a $100 book: Larry Milberry - The CAE Story (Canav Books, 2015)

I lost my Dad last year, but I can also talk to my aunt and uncle, Grandad's children, they should be able to give me some dates and hopefully some documentation. Could it be left with a 'Citation Needed' label for now, like the Rankin Bass entry for The Mad, Mad, Mad Comedians was since 2 years ago until I just fixed it?

@Jonathan Strange: - This is a WP:BLOG, and doesn't appear to be a reliable source. Per MOS:POPCULT, "Cultural references about the article's subject should not be included merely because they exist. Cultural aspects of the subject should be included only if they are supported by reliable secondary or tertiary sources that discuss the subject's cultural impact in some depth" - the book itself is not a suitable source - a reliable secondary source needs to discuss the appearance of Spring-heeled Jack and the appearance's cultural impact in depth. I know this is old, but i remember putting this update in there and it disappearing (edit posted by R4d Scar, i may have forgotten the credentials). You say that the edit had no sources to back it up, but I own the actual first to fight training game that the marine corps used. I have a copy that was swiped in 2005 from an IT center, two infact, and i have played the game myself. The training game is similar to the normal game, just more uptight on things like logging in, and at the end of the game, you have to identify who was using substances and what they are. Unfortunately, you completely reset my edits to the film composers list without consulting me and without even looking at the entire version history of the film composers list. If you had, you would have noticed that I've been contributing to it for several years and have actually done the lion's share of the work. I've also tried to fill in the gaps in the biographical data again – mostly from the article information itself, but also partly new (because apparently no one else in the English-speaking world is doing it – don't you have any more authors?). Incidentally, a quick Google search would have been enough to see that Diego Stocco is listed on Discogs with a birth year of 1976. Incidentally, I'm an expert on film music. You could have easily cross-checked the sources first without immediately removing them all. You have a lot of modular articles, but unfortunately, no one to maintain them. I've been an author on Wikipedia for 14 years now, with over 800 articles in the German version alone. Here on the German Wikipedia, we always work with sources, but also with a great deal of trust in long-standing Wikipedia users. If I add the sources, will you then reverse the blanket reversion? Otherwise, you might as well not bother with the source work later. Because usually more building blocks than sources are included. Which, in my opinion, isn't a particularly progressive form of collaboration. And what if others then refuse to participate at all?

Interestingly, on our German-language Wikipedia, it's almost exactly the opposite. Institutions with editorial sources like Discogs or IMDb are considered reliable, while social media is seen as borderline because it's generally not linkable—even though the information should be correct in most cases.

On Facebook and Meta, I'm connected with over 70 "film" composers, and their birthdays are displayed there—for example, Nicholas Pike, whose data you don't have at all. He lists his birthdate on Facebook as August 24, 1955. If the data/information were available on Discogs, we could officially use it (because it's an editorially maintained website) —what's the situation with you? Because you can't link to the Facebook source, can you? Regarding your comment about social media:

A verified social media account of an article subject saying about themselves something along the lines of "today is my 50th birthday" may fall under self-published sources for purposes of reporting a full date of birth. You reverted my addition to Kellen Goff's filmography, that he played three roles in the web series "MyStreet". Of course, this being a web series, there are very few sources that would be considered valid by the standards of the English Wikipedia. He is credited in the video description of every episode in which he played any role. See, for instance, this link , where it clearly states "Ivan/Levin/Malachi - Kellen Goff". Furthermore, his voice is entirely recognisable in every episode which contains him. Due to the nature of the series, the only way to find any better evidence would be to directly contact Goff personally, where he can corroborate this information. I can assure you that it is beyond any reasonable doubt that Kellen Goff played the three roles that I listed in this show.

Beside the topic of finding a good citation, I don't believe that you should have reverted my edit, even though it was unsourced. I would refer to WP:NOCITE. The material I added could not be described as contentious. Although unsourced, this is clearly not an expression of opinion. You do have some ground for the reversion if you interpreted it as false, although I don't see any reason to assume that it was, but I hope that I have convinced you here that that is not the case. And old portals do not survive to the present time. Not a lot of people is willing to find sources trough Wayback machine. I found out that you also undid some of my additions.

@Asceno: - For older games (80's and 90's), searching for magazine reviews using Archive.org's text search would be best, as most coverage for games that old will be in print media. Early 2000's is a bit more difficult, as a good amount of coverage will have been online, but is now dead. Digging through Google results with the name of the game in quotes and maybe adding 'review' to the search is the best thing to to in my experience - limiting search results to results from a timeframe around the release of the game also helps, alongside doublechecking Metacritic and Mobygames for listed reviews. Note that while a useful resource, Mobygames itself is an unreliable WP:USERGENERATED source per WP:VG/RS, and not every review Metacritic lists is from a reliable source.

In regards to your edits to Command and Destroy, Wikipedia itself is an unreliable source per WP:CIRCULAR, and while Gamepressure is a reliable source per WP:VG/RS, it doesn't support anything about it being one of the few DS RTS titles or claims about hardware. Additonally, the linked article reads oddly, saying "We" at many points which makes me think this summary is possibly taken from a press release, e.g. "We are making an effort to make each battlefield a unique experience so there are varied backgrounds for each mission from green forest to yellow deserts and snow covered areas ... We wanted to keep both screens as tactile as possible. Being able to touch the battlefield, radar and production components is highly desirable. We’ve achieved this by making the UI and battlefield screens swappable in-game at the touch of a button.". Hi, you added a message on my talk page after I added the engine (Unity) to TerraTech’s infobox - I did this because I looked in the game files within Steam and saw multiple signs that it was objectively a Unity game - I understand I didn’t add a citation but the rest of the data in the infobox also had no direct citations, such as the platforms and release dates. This Steam Community post from a developer of the game shows that they use Unity within it - is that enough for a citation, and how are citations done within infoboxes? I’d also like to note the content I added is (in my opinion) not something that could be interpreted as false or an opinion, so you reverting it instead of adding a {{citation needed}} or {{dubious}} seems like a breach of WP:NOCITE. Either adding the content directly to the infobox with the citation or adding a sourced brief sentence about the game using Unity under Development in addition to the infobox would be suitable. I edited List of Steve Blum performances yesterday, just to say that I did it.

Also, on the Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions page, I saw Blum listed as Vulture 2099 and Silvermane 2099 and notice they weren't on his filmography so I thought "Fortune Favors the Bold" (especially as Blum also voices the Noir version of Vulture in the game). Same with the Lego Batman 1 and 2 entries.

I understand where you are coming from, but maybe you should, I dunno, chill out a little bit with the constant reversions and simple one sentence reasons. Why? Because sometimes, people don't take to that and only double down.
