BR Bullpen

Please stop using the "Bullpen" section of Baseball Reference as a source. This has been discussed multiple times; here's the last discussion from RSN in 2022:"Extensive use of baseball-reference.com / bullpen open wiki". If you'd like to re-open the discussion there pending some new information, that's fine. Sam Kuru (talk) 15:21, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

Hello, Wikidude10000. This message concerns the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "1976 Montreal Alouettes season".

Drafts that go unedited for six months are eligible for deletion, in accordance with our draftspace policy, and this one has been nominated for deletion. If your submission has already been deleted by the time you read this, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the draft so you can continue to work on it.

Hey @Wikidude10000, was just wondering if you thought the first paragraph in the lead section was a little too long. GOAT Bones231012 (talk) 03:14, 23 January 2026 (UTC)

I'll be honest with you, I imagine it might be a bit long - I never actually checked if Wikipedia has a policy about the length of lead sections or not Wikidude10000 (talk) 10:44, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

ITN recognition for John Brodie

On 25 January 2026, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article John Brodie, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. PFHLai (talk) 10:41, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi there. Thanks for improving the article. I added some links to your latest lead additions, making it more accessible to non-football fans, esp. since the article is on the Main Page. I also removed a chunk from the body that was unsourced. For sourcing, it's better to not rely on stats sites and box scores. They can come off as cherry-picked WP:OR trivia by fans, as opposed to WP:DUE content by reliable, WP:SECONDARY sources. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 17:42, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:EmmittThomasHOF.png

Thanks for uploading File:EmmittThomasHOF.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:58, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Speedy deletion nomination of File:JimTurner1968.png

A tag has been placed on File:JimTurner1968.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of non-free use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Commercial photo agencies and non-free images

Hi,

I've tagged several of your uploaded non-free images for speedy deletion based on WP:F7 item b. Images from commercial photo agencies like AP and Getty are almost never acceptable. See WP:GETTY. -- Whpq (talk) 15:11, 4 February 2026 (UTC)

AAFC leaders

I reverted your adding AAFC leaders to the NFL leaders templates because they should have their own separate template like the AFL leaders do. It doesn't make much sense to have AAFC and NFL leaders in the same template but not the AFL in that case. Yankees10 18:43, 8 February 2026 (UTC)

There probably should be consistency since Template:NFL annual punting yards leaders smashed them all leaders together

Also, with NFL annual kickoff return yards leaders, the template for it in: Template:NFL annual kickoff return yards leaders listed the AFL leader for certain years, as opposed to being a part of their own AFL template Wikidude10000 (talk) 05:10, 9 February 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Lists of World Hockey Association players

A tag has been placed on Category:Lists of World Hockey Association players indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. plicit 14:04, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

its creation came about because I didn't realize there was a Category:List of WHA players, so I would strongly recommend nuking Category:Lists of World Hockey Association players Wikidude10000 (talk) 05:09, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
