I added some information to an article on East Tytherton on 5 January which you removed the next day, asking me to cite sources for details of the Moravian Single Sisters' House. Being new to Wikipedia, I hadn't worked out how to include citations. I would like to re-contribute this information, if I may:

Pevsner describes the Moravian settlement and “..the School House, dated 1785..” ^[1]“The Buildings of England: Wiltshire” built behind the existing chapel buildings as the Single Sisters’ Choir House. Early residents included Leonora Carr and 4 other ex-slaves from Antigua who lived at the Single Sisters’ House in the early 19th century. Leonora is buried in the graveyard behind the house. ^[2]

The Sisters’ Choir House was subsequently converted into a boarding school, primarily for the children of Moravian missionaries. One pupil was Thermutis Coleman whose son (Rev. Robert Francis Kilvert) wrote the descriptions of local life which were later published and broadcast on BBC Radio as “Kilvert’s Diaries”. ^[3]. The Sisters’ Choir House has been a private residence (Kellaways House) since WW2.^[4]

Hello, many images of the Rodway descendents/family were deleted in the section 'Rodway family' of the James Rodway page. I think these images accompany the text as they show who is being discussed, can these not be restored? GuyanaHistory (talk) 20:17, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

I'm setting up a project to create all the missing parishes in England, before I launch it I'm wondering what to do with 2 of the parishes in Wiltshire?

• Laverstock, this redirects to Laverstock and Ford, an article on the CP but it actually describes it as being a parish council (which would actually be "Laverstock and Ford Parish Council"). We shouldn't have an article on the council as well as the village/CP so the article should probably be renamed to "Laverstock" but a move at Talk:Laverstock and Ford#Requested move 27 January 2019 failed partly due to there not being an article for Ford despite the name the council calls the parish. I guess if notable Ford should have a separate article then the move should be proposed again. Otherwise though I think I can remove Laverstock from my list.

Agreed this is a longstanding anomaly. I'll put a Ford article on my to-do list, then we can go ahead with the Laverstock move to bring it in line with convention (i.e. article covers village and parish, while mentioning the name of the parish council). Wire723 (talk) 08:50, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

• Clarendon Park (parish), the listing seems to be for the house or wider grounds but there is also Clarendon Palace. The parish seems to include land other than the grounds which is probably why it has a population of 246. My gut instinct is to say that no separate article is probably needed and its fine (at least for now) to just be combined at Clarendon Park, Wiltshire though like other similar cases I'll leave it on my list to see what others think. My concern is that the 'see also' section suggests places for the reader to visit next, but in this case there is nowhere they can go to. You found some very useful additions. I was surprised how hard it was to find good sources. I don’t agree with the citation style being changed, as I see no great merit in the US-based templates that are popular on Wikipedia, and the Manual of Style does not mandate them, but I am just mentioning that. That's the format I would use if there was no link that could be used on the village name. Here, someone has taken the trouble to create the Halland, East Sussex redirect, so why not use it? Then if/when the village has its own article the disambiguation page will still be correct.

You are right, the source does say waterlogged and you were absolutely correct in making those edits. I do however think they're rather downplaying the issue. The Avon Valley Path near Burton cuts across this meadow and this is what it looks like from around October to April most years. That seems counterproductive: the result will be complete duplication between the 'Industrial design' category and the categories for designers. I'm not very knowledgeable about the nuances of category hierarchies.

That said, my intent with this addition was related to the wikiproject for industrial design — in which the Dyson article is included (this seems to be what adds it to this useful tool as well). My hope was that by adding Category:Industrial design to the article it would be picked-up by the Related changes/Category:Industrial design link on the wikiproject page. This would would make it simpler for editors who are interested in the subject to see any changes.

PS: I do see the issue with cluttering the main category, though duplication seems pretty common in the sub-cats too.

For new articles: I visited Wikipedia:WikiProject Industrial design and found someone has set up AlexNewArtBot (under Resources on the right side). This makes several daily lists of recent changes such as this one.

Just a quick note to say when you add the sub-region to coord, you use dash as a separator, not underscore. The latter is used to separate parameters. e.g. type:landmark_region:GB-SWD It's also worth noting that the sub-region does down to unitary authority, not just county - as in Swindon above. On the page for yellow badges, Jude is mentioned twice as it had written on the yellow stars that victims of the Holocaust in Germany wore. Also the page Juif (the inscription on the yellow stars in France) also mentions the word's meaning as Jew in English.

Suppression of _relevant_ truth about the strange case of the dog that didn't bark is not the Wiki way, It is highly significant that in a 3hr 8min (ignoring intros & outros) docu-drama, ITV neglected to mention the central involvement of its own 7+ yr CEO in the knowingly wrongful prosecution of hundreds of wholly innocent subpostmasters....

Neither is the DT a deprecated source, as could be inferred from you reversion, nor is the article just SM title-tattle. I suggest you study Adam Crozier and DYOR, for example by studying https://www.amazon.co.uk/Great-Post-Office-Scandal-multimillion-ebook/dp/B098GGKMW7 or at a minimum following all the links to pre-2011 conduct in British Post Office scandal before re-intervening in the significance of ITV suppressing coverage, even in this otherwise excellent docu-drama, of the shameful participation of their own 7+ year CEO in the criminality perpetrated against the subpostmasters.

I will leave this on hold for a while to give you time to digest the matter and perhaps educate yourself on it and then either change your mind or frankly justify your position that it is not worthy of coverage. IMO, there has been enough suppression of the truth in this horrific scandal already. You may also wish to consider Womble_Bond_Dickinson, hopefully not for more of my material to shred, but to deduce from its contents that Post Office v Castleton [2007] EWHC 5(QB), referred to so centrally within the ITV docu-drama, was decided in 2007. Vennells' role as PO CEO started in 2010, three years after this case was decided. Who was the PO/RM CEO in 2007, and indeed for four years prior to that, and who authorised the said prosecutions, a very rare event prior to his incumbency? This struck me as a little odd; my contribution was so swiftly deleted (by you), and Wiki Talk: pages are not spidered, cached or indexed by Google.

I have just completed a videoconference with my own lawyer on this vexing matter.

Note, I left it to the Wikireader to draw any inferences, and simply provided objective and indisputable facts about tenures at the PO and ITV, and absence of mention in the ITV drama, despite his central role in 2006-7 when the Castleton matter - and hundreds if not thousands of others - was being progressed, and Castleton's life being destroyed.

I don't need to remind such an experienced Wikipedean as yourself that it is strictly against Wiki policy to (a) move from Wiki-discussions to RL legal threats or action and (b) encourage others to issue such threats or take such legal action. I am equally sure you consider these hard and fast rules sensible. I do.

Having started this matter - improperly and unreasonably IMO, but that's just my opinion - you have gone silent here and in Talk:Mr_Bates_vs_The_Post_Office, provided no further justification other than the (IMO) weak non-sequiturs justifying your original intervention and your deletion without prior discussion.

If only you were able to know the depth of despair into which one is remorselessly dragged by incessant intimidation/attacks/threats by lying aggressive ****s, some of them solicitors, some of them relying on anonymity, directed at those exposing the endless crimes and cover-ups of the Post Office. Paranoia is the only human defence mechanism against the onslaught. Many others have had it much worse than I have, and yes, astoundingly it is ongoing.

The ITV docu-drama pulls punches. Yes, you read that right. It is absolutely excellent and very accurate but is a considerable understatement, maybe because they had far too much to cram into its 3hrs, maybe because they had to guard against defamation litigation.

It never mentions that the PO crooks successfully infiltrated Bates' subpostmasters' group so they could anticipate and thwart their quest for justice.

If I had my way, which I don't, at least thirty would be arrested, tried, convicted, imprisoned and stripped of their assets.

My desire that ex-CEO Crozier's role in this massive miscarriage of justice and crime receives exposure in the dominant online encycopaedia is wholly free from malice, improper motive or bias on my part. You seem to be adding a locations here at the List of United Kingdom locations: Str-Stt which are not settlements. I don't know if it is just settlements on that list but for a settlement its needs at least 10 houses to be valid. It seems to be full of locations like farm names, names of fields, villages that have been destroyed in the past somehow, names of former battle that have somehow stuck, hunting lodges, estate names, but that are not settlements, i.e. where nobody lives. Hello Wire723 - I hope you are keeping well. By a roundabout route, of the kind that is common on here, I came across the Badminton House page, of which you are the main author. It is presently rather disfigured (IMHO) by a large map, where I would usually expect to see an image of the building. A way around this, without deleting the map entirely, would be to add an infobox. I'm very happy to do this, but wanted to ask you first, as I know that IBs are not favoured by all editors of country house articles. Let me know. Best regards.
