Copying within Wikipedia
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Bateren Edict into Christianity in Japan. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s).
When copying within Wikipedia, at a minimum, give attribution in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination.
Please add attribution if no one has done so yet. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. -- mikeblas (talk) 00:10, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message regarding the content copied from Bateren Edict and San Felipe incident (1596) to Christianity in Japan. The copied content was primarily authored by me, with minor style and grammar corrections by other editors.

Text and/or other creative content from Bateren Edict was copied or moved into Christianity in Japan on 2025-10-11. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.
Text and/or other creative content from San Felipe incident (1596) was copied or moved into Christianity in Japan on 2025-10-11. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. - As a side note, I understand that in the Japanese Wikipedia, attribution for self-authored content is considered recommended rather than mandatory.
Not everything copied from one Wikipedia page to another requires attribution. If the re-user is the sole contributor of the text at the other page, attribution is not necessary. Content rewritten in one's own words does not need attribution. However, duplicating material by other contributors that is sufficiently creative to be copyrightable under US law (as the governing law for Wikipedia) requires attribution.(WP:NOATT)
- However, to ensure full compliance with the English Wikipedia's guidelines, I have followed the required steps. Please let me know if further clarification or action is needed. Thank you for your guidance! 杜の街 (talk) 05:56, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
