This page documents the Gatestone Institute, a think tank in the United States. I am nominating the page for deletion because I believe it fails the notability criteria.
The General Notability Guideline states that "A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Here, coverage of the Institute as an institution in reliable sources is almost nil. There has been much coverage of its authors and some of other figures surrounding it, and if they have Wikipedia pages, their affiliation with the Gatestone Institute may be notable for the purpose of inclusion there. Nevertheless, isolated fact-checking by sites like Snopes does not give rise to notability outside of the incidents involved. For example, a single social media account that routinely posts provocative information, resulting in occasional coverage in mainstream news, is not notable. If a celebrity reposts one of that account's posts, that particular incident may be worth noting on the celebrity's page. But the account has not become notable simply because sources reference something that it did. The sources must reference what it is for the coverage to actually be about the institution and thus for the institution to have "received significant coverage in reliable sources." — Preceding unsigned comment added by GS2026 (talk • contribs) 23:08, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
The Institute is not notable partly because it serves mainly as a platform for individual authors to discuss their views. Many of these authors have relatively conservative viewpoints, and some may be categorized toward the more extreme end of the right wing. As a result, the page refers to the Institute as "far-right" and additionally accuses it of being "anti-Muslim."
Critically, the page does not provide a helpful rundown of the variety of subjects on which Institute authors have written, instead serving more as a platform for controversy. For example, edits back and forth have debated whether to call the Institute "far-right", "right-wing", "conservative", or some other label, as well as whether the term "anti-Muslim" is more appropriate than "anti-Islamist" or "opposed to political Islam." These debates illustrate a circular logic at work on the page: The Institute's coverage in secondary sources is heavily critical, but besides citations to individual incidents provoking that criticism, little coverage of the Institute exists in secondary sources. Institute authors may often be notable in their own right, along with other individuals associated with it. Nevertheless, the Institute itself lacks a sufficiently large public profile to merit its inclusion in an online encyclopedia.

Keep - The subject meets the General Notability Guideline (GNG) as it has received significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent media outlets. Alpagut is not just a local sport but an internationally recognized martial art with organized championships across several countries.
Furthermore, it qualifies under WP:NSPORT due to its international federation status and participation in multi-sport events. I will be adding more independent secondary sources (international news agencies and sports journals) to the article to address the concerns regarding "independent coverage." KülTegin.Alp (talk) 22:40, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
Further comment - To address the concerns regarding independent coverage, I have identified several high-quality, third-party sources that demonstrate the international recognition and institutional standing of Alpagut:
Institutional Recognition: The International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE), a global umbrella organization (partner of UNESCO and IOC), officially recognized and accepted the World Alpagut Federation as a member in May 2022 (Source: ICSSPE Official Website).
International Media Coverage: The state-run Qazafnom (Kazakhstan) reported on the strategic development of Alpagut in Central Asia and the establishment of the Asian Alpagut Federation (Source: Qazinform).
Major Multi-Sport Events: Alpagut has been part of the World Nomad Games (one of the largest traditional sports festivals globally), with coverage from international agencies like Xinhua and TRT World highlighting its role in the martial arts programs (Source: Xinhua News).
International Membership: The federation is also a member of TAFISA (The Association For International Sport for All), which is a key indicator of international sports legitimacy.
I will now proceed to integrate these citations into the main article to ensure it meets the required encyclopedic standards. KülTegin.Alp (talk) 22:48, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- I'm curious why you decided not to go through WP:AfC for this article. I was mainly suggesting draftifying your article before it gets moved to mainspace. I'm not arguing that Alpagut isn't notable. Awesomecat (✉ / ✎) 02:12, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- After looking at some of the links in your citations, a lot of them seem to be dead links, like this one, this one, and this one. It leads me to believe you might be using generative AI for your articles and citations. This specific article doesn't even bring up Alpagut. Awesomecat (✉ / ✎) 02:21, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Keep – I would like to consolidate my position regarding the significance of Alpagut and address the comments made in the discussion.
First, to address the academic and historical foundations: We have now provided a comprehensive methodology paper that outlines the technical systems and the historical "Urmu Theory" of Alpagut. This document serves as a primary source to prove that the discipline is a structured martial art based on extensive research: Alpagut: The Methodology and Historical Foundations. Furthermore, the international legitimacy of Alpagut is confirmed by its verified memberships in global bodies such as TAFISA, ICSSPE, and the International Fair Play Committee.
Secondly, regarding the use of AI tools: As a non-native English speaker representing an international sports organization, I use AI-assisted tools to ensure my communication is clear and grammatically correct for a global audience. While these tools help bridge the language gap, the facts, academic references, and institutional memberships provided are entirely authentic and verifiable. Using a tool to refine language does not diminish the factual validity of the evidence presented.
I have updated the article to include these academic references and believe they sufficiently address the "notability" concerns. I kindly ask the community to evaluate the article based on these verifiable facts. KülTegin.Alp (talk) 09:49, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

- Thank you.
- It as squarely as I imagined. A biography, “6 Mar 2025 — As Kansas City's most powerful unelected official, Brian Platt …”, was decidedly leaning promotional, suddenly turned the opposite, and all of it is on the public record. The article should never have been speedy deleted.
- On Wikipedia-notability, many years ago Wikipedia would find a non-notable person to be notable because of a public scandal. With WP:BLP being imposed, and fully accepted (and not current discussions at WT:BLP showing the tide has turned very much to being cautious and hesitant for Wikipedia to publish negative information on BLPs.
- The negative turn means more coverage. More coverage normally means more notability. However, the article has turned from promotional borderline, does no harm, to anti-promotional borderline, a Wikipedia record of a fall. That aside, the deciding factor for me is ongoing secondary source coverage. This means, later sources must exist that contextualise the story in history, even if recent of ~ one year, and authors of that coverage make new comments and even judgements, and ideally, analysis. None of the sources, new or old, do that. It is just reporting, the telling of facts without bias. That, in my historigraphical judgement, makes the sources primary sources, and I am leaning to calling the topic non-notable. SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:04, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

- Bearing in mind that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is a thing and that we're discussing this article, not those, what do people think of the other articles in this person's most defining category, Category:City managers of Kansas City, Missouri? (In particular, what of this person's immediate successor, Mario Vasquez, whose article seems much the same except he hasn't fallen from grace?) Are we headed towards deleting this one solely because the external coverage isn't wholly positive, like the others? —Cryptic 00:45, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- I think it means that Wikipedia is heading towards being Promotional-articles friendly. If promotional articles get an easier run than negative articles, then it can be considered safe to have your article added, knowing that if bad stuff develops, Wikipedia will delete it.
- I think the article Mario Vasquez should be deleted if Brian Platt is deleted. I think this source should be declared “non-independent] based on many signs. I haven’t read the other 12 sources. I observed that reference bombing makes an article much less likely to be nominated for deletion. Articles are expected to be NPOV. Is the collection of article meant to be NPOV. I don’t think so. Should it? Should editors work to include more negative BLPs like used to happen? SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:57, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- I certainly don't think we should include more negative BLPs for the sake of including more negative BLPs. What I'm concerned with is the reverse of what you said above: not that a non-notable person becomes notable because of a scandal, but that an article we'd accepted as fitting into the norm stops being acceptable because of scandal. —Cryptic 01:36, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- I've long accepted that there's an unwritten rule, when it comes to creating articles, that the more controversial a topic is, then the stronger sourcing you're going to need to have a stand-alone article. There's a lot of possible reasons - once an article attracts attention, you break whatever inclusionist local consensus the regulars in a topic area have created, you have more conflict over the actual article which makes editors involved say "yeah, this subject is too awful to write about, I'd rather just give up", and just, tbh, there's very little incentive to send a borderline notable, somewhat promotional, but maxxing out at 800 views a day one time early last year, (seriously - that's a shit ad campaign) through the hassle of AfD - there's a lot more incentive to get rid of an article which you know is being used to attack somebody (whether justified or not - even bad people do desrve a certain degree of protection). Sometimes I agree with this unwritten rule, sometimes I don't - but I can't be the only one who has noticed this. Right? I also reject the fallacy that just because the article existed before, uncontroversially, means that the subject was notable - that's basically the spirit of WP:OSE. - Keep per the significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. The subject passes Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Basic criteria, which says:
People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.
- If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not usually sufficient to establish notability.

Platt’s tenure in Kansas City has been beset by controversy. Initially, members of the City Council charged that Lucas had offered Platt his job without their approval. Last year, Platt was sued by a Black employee for race- and age-based discrimination. Platt was placed on paid suspension March 6 following the result of a civil lawsuit against the city in which Chris Hernandez, former city communications director, was awarded nearly $1 million. ... Lucas shared some of the reasons Platt was removed: failure to take criticism, loss of confidence from council leaders/city staff, failure to mitigate risk, ineffectiveness in handling personnel matters, failure to effectively establish goals/visions for city departments, and asking staff to lie and demoting an employee who refused."

The payouts, both approved in late September, came roughly six months after the Kansas City Council fired Platt amid a whistleblower lawsuit — and a roughly $900,000 jury verdict — that revealed Platt suggested it was acceptable to lie to news organizations. ... - Keep In addition to the citations above proving notability, there are additional reviews of Evelyn Taocheng Wang's work in Artforum (sources 1 and 2) along with a major, in-depth profile of the artist and her work in the same magazine. Since ArtForum is the premier magazine in the world on contemporary art, this is a big deal. In addition, I also found profiles of the artist and her work in Art Basel (source), ArtReview (source), Mousse Magazine (source), and too many additional publications and major exhibitions/museums to add them all here. As an example of this extensive coverage, the Wikipedia Library lists 47 articles and journals about Wang and her work. Finally, Wang won the prestigious Wolfgang Hahn Prize. Yes, the article needs a lot of work but the subject easily meets WP:ARTIST as having "been a substantial part of a significant exhibition" along with winning "significant critical attention (and being) represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums." In addition to that, the artist also qualifies for notability under the any biography criteria for having won "a well-known and significant award or honor."--SouthernNights (talk) 10:51, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

The article notes: "Hot on the heels of Noel Edmonds declaring himself a fan, Stephen has written the Cosmic Ordering Guide, explaining the philosophy and how to use it. A New Age phenomenon, it works on the principle that the whole universe is interlinked and that, by drawing on its power, we can achieve our wildest dreams. It may sound fanciful but Stephen, 41, who lives in Durham, claims to have used it to go from nothing to finding success. In the Gateshead house which he's only just sold (among his many roles is that of property developer) he gives a flavour of what this means. ... His television work has come through his writing - he's penned a host of books on gangsters - and the other stuff. . . well he just seems to have fallen into it. ... What started him on the path to Cosmic Ordering was, as he freely admits, sheer desperation. It began with a fractured childhood in which he only learned to read and write when he was 11. ... SOStephen turned to producing pamphlets on subjects ranging from staying young to winning the Lottery. Whatever he did seemed to turn to dross. ... Whatever the reason for Stephen's success - and despite his shameless self-aggrandisement (he even feels the need to point out his Ray-Bans) - I can't help liking him. He's loud and brash, and possibly barmy, but he's also bright and selfdeprecating. What can't be denied is that, with help from the universe or no, he's turned his life around."

I swear, this is not a campaign against Invader Zim voice actors...
The sources in the article are abhorrent: an interview (therefore a primary source), a few YouTube videos (which themselves are just narrated listicles and a recording of a convention panel), two podcast interviews (therefore primary sources), a listicle from TheGamer, Simons' own books, and Behind the Voice Actors. Of these, only BTVA is a reliable source, but as WP:BTVA states, Editors agree that its coverage is routine and does not contribute to notability.
Not a single one of these is SIGCOV, and several do not even seem to be reliable sources in the first place.
- Newspapers.com for "Rosearik Rikki Simons":
- "Comic Relief": Name-drops Simmons as colorist on I Feel Sick. (A reprint of this article was also the only result for his name on JSTOR.)
- "Week in Review": Name-drops Simmons as guest of honor at a local con in Missoula.
- Newspapers.com for "Rikki Simons":
- "Kawaii Kon Talk": Name-drops Simmons as a guest at a con.
- "Kawaii Kon 2008": Same as last year.
- Beyond that, any 2010s searches for "Rikki Simons" were either false positives for unrelated people, or passing name-drops of him attending cons.
So far, none of this is SIGCOV.
GBooks was similarly useless, returning only comics Simons worked on and a couple of animation databases. @Sammi Brie: fared no better, finding only a one-sentence mention of his comic work. Also like Andy Berman, I found a couple routine name-drops of him reprising the GIR role for Enter the Florpus, but literally all they confirm is that he is returning. I was wholly unable to confirm any biographical information, such as date of birth, spouse, or any work prior to I Feel Sick.
Much like Berman, I feel Simons has just enough credits for a redirect to be undue weight, but not enough to pass the WP:GNG filter. This is exactly the same SIGCOV void Berman fell into, so I think it's time to sing the doom song for his article. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 15:34, 7 March 2026 (UTC)

- Keep - This looks like significant coverage to me (but please correct me if there's a policy of footballer bios that I'm not aware of). The mentions are not in passing and cover her career, her opinion, where she's from (given her bi-national identity of having been born in Texas but playing for Mexico), and this passes in-depth coverage.
- El Norte (major national outlet);
- Milenio (major national newspaper)
- El Diario de Juárez (major outlet in Ciudad Juárez)
- Quadratín (major outlet in Jalisco)
- This is me speaking with zero knowledge of footballer bio requirements, but if this is good to stay, I can happy expand this in the next few days. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 04:24, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- Good search Morogris. El Norte is only a photo, so no sigcov, but the Milenio article, the interview in As, and a couple of strong state level sources are enough for me. She was capped by the national team after all. keep.Boynamedsue (talk) 06:38, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- Apologies, the El Norte is paywalled after the first sentence, so it does provide WP:SIGCOV. This is a clear pass of WP:GNG. Thanks a million Monogris for the offer to expand, I checked with WP:FOOTY and there is nothing but GNG for football, so I totally agree with your interpretation here.Boynamedsue (talk) 06:49, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

- Delete. Significant coverage of his business ventures is not the same thing as significant coverage of him. If there were a few more sources specifically about Kaushish like this one, it might make sense to keep this as an article. Most of the reliable sources here only mention him as tangential to the subject. Then there are a lot of inappropriate links that make the article read like spam. Some editor could probably clean this up if they wanted to, but in its current state, the article should be deleted. Trumpetrep (talk) 20:11, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

This should be redirected to List of unnumbered trans-Neptunian objects: 2010.
Redirect to List of unnumbered trans-Neptunian objects: 2010 – Per WP:NASTRO, the current sourcing does not clearly establish standalone notability for this object. The article relies primarily on database- and catalogue-type sources (e.g. MPC/JPL/AstDyS/orbit compilations) plus one journal source co-authored by one of the object’s discoverers, which is weaker for establishing independent notability. I have not found multiple independent, non-trivial, object-specific sources with significant commentary on 2010 KZ39 itself, as opposed to routine inclusion in surveys, tables, discovery notices, or parameter databases. Per WP:NASTRO’s guidance on minor planets of questionable notability, redirecting to an appropriate list article is the better outcome than maintaining a standalone article supported mostly by routine database coverage.— Preceding unsigned comment added by V382 Carinae (talk • contribs) 17:09, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

After attempting to locate reliable independent sources, I was unable to find sufficient significant coverage to establish notability. Most available references appear to be routine mentions or primary/team-related sources. Coverage of the subject also appears to have largely stopped after 2024, and there are not enough reliable secondary sources to support the subject’s notability. The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for sports and athletics. User:Martinsilliv

Can't see that this person is notable. Sources niche or self published. TheLongTone (talk) 16:12, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- Keep: I am the article's creator and I want to address the notability concern directly. The original version relied too heavily on the subject's own website and minor blogs. I have now identified and can cite substantial independent coverage in mainstream UK publications, and I am updating the article accordingly. Below is a full account of the changes and sources.
- Independent mainstream sources now cited in the article:
- Marie Claire UK (September 2025) : Henshaw is named as a judge for the Marie Claire UK Skin Awards 2025, selected alongside consultant dermatologists and senior cosmetic practitioners. This is editorial recognition by a major independent UK magazine, not a paid placement or press release. URL: https://www.marieclaire.co.uk/beauty/skincare/marie-claire-uk-skin-awards-2025-judges
- Grazia Daily: Multiple dedicated features quoting Henshaw as an expert source, including a feature on Traptox (August 2023), a bridal Botox guide (April 2022), and a personal profile on her own pre-wedding treatments. These are editorial articles in a mainstream UK weekly magazine in which she is the named expert. URLs: https://graziadaily.co.uk/beauty-hair/skin/traptox/ , https://graziadaily.co.uk/beauty-hair/skin/botox-before-wedding/ , https://graziadaily.co.uk/beauty-hair/skin/alice-henshaw-wedding-treatments/
- Get the Gloss: A standalone expert profile page covering her career, clinic, awards and skincare brand. URL: https://www.getthegloss.com/expert/alice-henshaw/
- The Sybarite (January 2025): A long-form independent interview covering the founding of the clinic and the development of Skincycles. URL: https://thesybarite.co/women-who-launch-alice-henshaw
- The Arcadia Online (November 2023): A full interview covering her background and the origin of Skincycles. URL: https://www.thearcadiaonline.com/getting-to-know-aesthetician-extraordinaire-alice-henshaw/
- The Tweakments Guide (November 2025): An independent practitioner profile noting her listings in Tatler, Vogue and Vanity Fair. URL: https://thetweakmentsguide.com/practitioners/mrs-alice-henshaw/
- Sources removed from the article:
- All LinkedIn references (not a reliable independent source under WP:RS)
- Trustpilot review pages (user-generated content, not a reliable source)
- Luxuria Lifestyle (niche lifestyle advertorial site, insufficient independence)
- Duplicate references to the subject's own clinic website have been reduced to only those facts with no available independent source
- Notability argument:
- Under WP:GNG, a subject is notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. The Marie Claire UK Skin Awards judge listing alone satisfies this, it is unsolicited editorial content in one of the UK's largest women's magazines. The three Grazia features further confirm she is regularly treated as an authoritative expert source by mainstream press. Coverage in Tatler's Cosmetic Surgery Guide is also on record via secondary sources, though a direct Tatler URL has not yet been located. The article has been revised to reflect all of the above and the references section now leads with independent mainstream citations rather than self-published material.
- I am happy to make further improvements to the article in response to any specific concerns raised here. OmarKattan (talk) 16:24, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

This really does not seem to merit an article; imo its worth a redirect, altho whethr the office or the sucessful cadidate is the best target is moot. TheLongTone (talk) 16:05, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
I see no reason to delete this. Sure, it's a seemingly "random" election in Texas politics, but Wikipedia is meant to be the place to find election results like this, which unfortunately are becoming harder and harder to find as many old internet sites with such results do not work anymore. 1998 was a particularly meaningful election because it is when Republicans took over the state. Perhaps this is not a topic something the petitioner for deletion cares about, but not caring about a topic does not give someone permission to delete it, especially because making this article took me a lot of time and effort. Wikipedia is more valuable with articles like this. Plz do not delete them. That would be a shame. Trajan1 (talk)

Contested PROD. All encyclopedic content is covered in the articles about the leaders of various factions. Most content is background: content about the supposed subject is minimal. No evidence that the battle itself meets WP:GNG: there are two sentences at most in the sources, and in the reliable sources they are presented as matters of popular belief, not as fact. No evidence that sources anywhere refer to it as the "battle of Amritsar"; this is referred to as an ambush and counter-ambush of a handful of soldiers. Vanamonde93 (talk) 15:46, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

Love the name, but I couldn't find any WP:SIGCOV in English or Dutch. Has been in CAT:NN since 2011. Full of dubious WP:PEACOCK claims like "classic in Dutch pop music history". Zero results on Newspapers.com or JSTOR, and I was unable to access the lone hit on GBooks. Despite a long discography, these all seem to be obscure independent releases for which I could find no proof of existence outside of Discogs. I don't feel there's even a valid claim to notability per WP:BAND, but I'm still open to the possibility there might be some Dutch-language sources hiding in a place I couldn't access on my own. If no one is going to bother to clean up this article, we should follow our own policies and delete it. Trumpetrep (talk) 16:21, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

- Keep per above. I found seven books with previews on GBooks. Coastal Environments in Popular Song is even in English, and though the reference there is too brief to use, it does say the band had "moderate success in the 80s and 90s." Which book wasn't opening for you?

- This article's overlap with "Nazi racial theories" and other articles is significant. The bulk of the policy is already covered in the "Nuremberg Laws" article. The rest of this "racial policy" article is a survey that's far too close in substance to the "racial theories" article. I would argue for salvaging any original material from this "policy" article and merging it into the "theories" article. It's easier to maintain one good article, and it's a better reference for the reader. Trumpetrep (talk) 16:36, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- Keep. One other is a policy for disambiguation pages, which this is not. I don't see a serious argument that this isn't notable. And theories are quite different from policy. PARAKANYAA (talk) 15:27, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- Delete. I agree that it should be deleted because the overlap is significant with Nazi racial theories and that page is also better written and provides more information. This racial policies page here is basically just a worse version of that article, with less info. DapperJakartan (talk) 20:07, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- Keep as obviously notable. This is not a duplicate, because "policy" is about actual actions and "theories" is about beliefs; these are connected but distinct. Kelob2678 (talk) 23:01, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- I am not particularly knowledgeable about wikipedia, but perhaps you could merge the two articles into "racial theory and policy of nazi germany" or similar? Theoldpea (talk) 23:47, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- That’s the thing though, the theories page already covers all the racial policies here and includes more information on the racial theories too. So there’s no reason for this page to exist. DapperJakartan (talk) 00:13, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

The details in the article specifically about barcode software libraries are either poorly-sourced (primary sources related to the specific software libraries examined) or non-sourced. I've not had luck finding secondary sources related to barcode software libraries. Vastly most of the body of the article is details about barcodes broadly, which belong in Barcode, and without the large amount of details about barcodes themselves, the article fails WP:NOTCATALOGUE, mostly listing particular software libraries. - The concern I've got is not whether it's important or useful (which I think it is, though this type of article, even the one you linked, comes way too close to being WP:NOTCATALOGUE for me to like having it in Wikipedia, useful as it may be) - as it is it lacks enough secondary sources and in searching I haven't been able to find any, which has me see it as non-notable. - Delete and redirect to DNA barcoding#Reference libraries as the most common usage of "barcode library". There is practically no WP:GNG sourcing here that supports an article about barcode software libraries; the best sources are scholarly papers that introduce barcode recognition algorithms, slightly different from the intended scope of this article, and even those are primary sources. Maybe we could have an article about barcode recognition but it would look very different from this article. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 01:40, 3 March 2026 (UTC)

- I think a fundamental problem with this article, on top of the sourcing and content issues, is that it combines barcode generation with barcode recognition, when most sources either deal with one or the other. It's like if we combined the barcode reader and barcode printer articles into a single article titled "barcode machine". Barcode recognition software/algorithms can probably have its own article, but barcode generation software (which this article focuses on more) has less clear notability. — Duplicate !vote: Alexandr.gavriluk (talk • contribs) has already cast a !vote above.- The topic appears to meet WP:GNG, as barcode libraries are widely used components in barcode software ecosystems and are discussed in technical literature and industry documentation. They form the core software layer used in systems related to Barcode printer and Barcode reader technologies, which are already well-established encyclopedic topics.
- The current article indeed needs improvement, particularly regarding sourcing and structure, but this is an issue of WP:IMPROVE rather than deletion. Wikipedia policy generally favors improving articles when the subject itself is notable and verifiable.
- I have previously contributed to several related articles about barcode technologies, but improving this article would benefit from collaboration with other editors, especially to add independent reliable sources in line with WP:RS.

- Korea Herald source is very brief and appears to be substantially based on a press release (WP:DEPENDENTCOVERAGE).
- MSN source is republished from Under 30 CEO, which does not appear to meet WP:RS standards.
- ETNews article also seems to be based on a press release.
- California Business Journal is not a reliable source - Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 486#California Business Journal reliable for notability in profiles?
- The Washington Independent is not a reliable source - Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 420#Washington Independent.
- Dreamyshade (talk) 05:02, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- Firstly, an article based on a press release is not the same as a press release. A press release is written by companies and sent to teh media. When a journalist independently researches a subject, interviews sources, applies editorial judgment, and publishes their own article, then that article is not a press release anymore, regardless of whether a press release was the original source. The resulting coverage reflects the journalist's own work and their publication's editorial standards. In addition, if you claim it is based on a press release, you should also indicate which press release it was lifted from so we can see how similar they are. If they are very similar then perhaps you would have a point.
- Wikipedia's guideline on WP:INDY (Independent Sources) specifically distinguishes between sources that originate from the subject versus sources that are editorially independent. A staff-written article in a reputable publication passes this test even if the journalist first learned of the topic through a press release. What matters is whether the coverage is the journalist's own work or simply a rephrased press release.
- Second, the Washington Independent discussion you refer to is for a different publication (washingtonindependent.com), from which the subject has a citation (washingtonindependent.org). They are not the same sites.
- Third, regarding California Business Journal: The discussion you cited involved only three to four participants, which falls well short of establishing a consensus. A small, low-participation thread does not carry the weight needed to broadly disqualify a publication. In addition, the publication has never been listed on WP:RSP. Regarding the testimonials referenced in the discussion, nobody has indicated that they paid for placement. It seems that the publication conducts its own interviews with business owners, who then provide testimonials about their experience being covered, which is a common practice in many publications. You can't just disqualify a publication based on people posting testimonials. Alabamanian (talk) 08:13, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

- @Alabamanian The guidelines are supposed to help us write verifiable articles based on reliable sources, not squeeze an article from sources that are possibly usable but questionable. We need to look for evidence that a source is reliable, not assume it's reliable unless proven otherwise. Not intending to get into a debate about specifics here, since there are other factors and sources, but just a few more notes:
- Even though the Korea Herald source has a byline, it shows no evidence of independent reporting beyond statements from the company (essentially churnalism).
- The Washington Independent site at washingtonindependent.org has the same template and practices as the one that used to be at washingtonindependent.com, and neither show any evidence of credibility.
- Even though the California Business Journal conversation at RSN had four participants, their perspectives reflect what I'm seeing in the cited article: it seems to be a promotional article, not a reliable source. Also not a good sign that I can't seem to find independent evidence that the author Joanie Moretti exists.

In addition we have 2 articles from Korea Herald 1 & 2, one of the biggest publications from Korea, and considered reliable, listed on the Korean Reliable Publications list. - Comment - I have found a couple of textbooks that cover ECOUNT ERP in depth. These should count towards notability, as they provide secondary, in-depth academic coverage:
- 1) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Konsep, Aplikasi dan Implementasi Sistem ERP (2025)
TRANSLATION Figure 19. Ecount ERP ECOUNT is a cloud-based ERP software that was established in 1999 and has been providing its services since that year. It can be accessed from anywhere, at any time, through the web, at an affordable cost. To date, approximately 70,000 companies have improved their operational efficiency using ECOUNT ERP. As one of the pioneers in the cloud-based ERP industry, ECOUNT has built a strong reputation over more than two decades. The primary advantage of ECOUNT ERP lies in its high accessibility, allowing users to manage their business operations from various devices and locations, as long as they are connected to the internet. This is highly beneficial for modern businesses that often have geographically dispersed teams or need access to business data while on the go. One of ECOUNT ERP's key advantages is its affordable pricing structure. With a cloud-based subscription model, companies can avoid large upfront investments in IT infrastructure and software licenses. This makes ECOUNT ERP an attractive option, especially for small and medium-sized businesses that want to leverage ERP technology without a heavy financial burden. The fact that approximately 70,000 companies have adopted ECOUNT ERP demonstrates a high level of trust in this platform. It also reflects ECOUNT's ability to adapt to the needs of various types and sizes of businesses across different industries. ECOUNT ERP also offers multi-language and multi-currency features, making it suitable for companies operating on a global scale or with branches in various countries. This enables standardization of business processes across the organization while maintaining flexibility for local needs. Data security is a top priority for ECOUNT ERP. By using advanced encryption technology and strict security protocols, ECOUNT strives to protect sensitive customer data from cyber threats. ECOUNT also continuously innovates by integrating new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning into its platform. This allows companies to automate repetitive processes, gain predictive insights, and improve decision-making. Strong customer support is another important aspect of ECOUNT ERP. The company provides a wide range of resources, including online documentation, video tutorials, and direct assistance to help customers optimize their use of the system. Although ECOUNT ERP offers many advantages, potential users need to consider several factors, such as the need for a stable internet connection and the potential dependency on a cloud service provider. Looking ahead, ECOUNT ERP is likely to continue evolving with a focus on enhancing user experience, deeper integration with Industry 4.0 technologies, and the development of features that support companies' digital transformation.
- 2) Enterprise Resource Planning (2023)
TRANSLATION 11.6 ECount ERP This software is often recommended for its scalability and flexibility, as it can be adapted for various industries with little to no coding knowledge whatsoever. ECount ERP is a system that is commonly chosen by small and medium-sized businesses looking to improve their business productivity, because this system can integrate various important accounting functions such as invoicing, billing, purchasing management, budgeting, manufacturing, and much more. ECount ERP is fully hosted in the cloud and does not require complex setup or maintenance. In fact, innovations and updates are synchronized automatically, and companies do not need to pay additional fees to receive the latest version of the system. Another appealing aspect of ECount ERP is its affordable pricing. Advantages of ECount ERP: 1. Has many important features ECount ERP provides many important features such as Accounting, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Inventory, Sales, and Business. To improve accessibility, all of these features and operations can also be accessed via mobile devices. 2. Efficient transaction management This system can give you a complete picture of your product implementation, cost and schedule estimates, as well as available materials. The system can also automatically update data every time a purchase occurs, so you have full inventory control and can accurately handle sales and purchase requests. 3. Groupware System The ECount developers considered the need to guide a synchronized and well-organized team, and therefore designed a highly collaborative groupware tool. With ECount ERP, all team members can stay connected, chat online, and will have direct access to all data. 4. Has reliable customer service ECount ERP users will be assisted by a knowledgeable and experienced professional team that is ready to answer your questions 24 hours a day via email and phone. - I still am failing to see the "meat" of the sourcing. Look at the article you have about its history. There's not a lot of what makes the company stand out on its own. It's almost WP:REFBOMBing and there's a lack of substance with the presented sources. Look at WP:SIRS for how the sources are analyzed. – The Grid (talk) 12:46, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- It's definitely WP:REFBOMBing here. Here's a look at the current revision:
- I don't think you need three sources to state it's ERP software. It's in the name.
- Two sources to state it doesn't require software installation...well yeah, it's cloud-based. I don't need sources for that.
- Another source to state once again it's from Korea.
- Two more sources to state who the CEO is...that's where you can use their website to source.
- Another source to state it's multilingual. Fluff.
- News about a new office Vietnam. Run of the mill news.
- One sentence about a new webmail service. Is that even related to the article?
- News about another office in another country several times.
- They have nine global offices. Somehow that takes five sources when their website exists.
- Two more sentences and three sources to state a general function of the program.
- I tried to look at other ERP software for good examples and I think there's a bigger issue here. – The Grid (talk) 19:19, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- - First of all REFBOMBING usually refers to more than 3 references and nowhere in this article more than 3 references are used. I am also not opposed to removing some of the less important references that are not too in-depth, but as far as I can see all references are needed. Every single reference supports the content in question. If you believe any specific reference constitutes refbombing, I'd welcome you to identify it now or raise it on the talk page if the article is kept.
- - Second, I don't see you opposing the new Textbook and Academic citations, so I assume you are OK with those.
- - 3rd, you linked to the ERP Directory, where I can see several companies with less than 3 citations or primary/unreliable citations, that should be raised for deletion. If you think ECOUNT is not notable, then for sure several of the companies listed there are much less notable. Alabamanian (talk) 05:01, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- - Where does the essay state that it's three or more references? Come on.
- - I don't know about the textbook and academic citations.
- - There's definitely a problem with existing ERP programs listed on here. The other articles are fair game as well. (WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS argument)
- - Also understand I'm an editor that does not make the final determination, that's for the closing admin. – The Grid (talk) 12:28, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- - Based on my observations up to 3 references is OK and after that it is considered Refbombing. I saw the argument in some prior discussions, but can't recall where now. If anyone else besides you thinks 3 references is considered Refbombing, they are welcome to state so here or in the TALK page.
- - Regarding Textbook citations, please check WP:SCHOLARSHIP. "When available, academic and peer-reviewed publications, scholarly monographs, and textbooks are usually the most reliable sources. "
- The same policy states this regarding research papers "Reliable scholarship – Material such as an article, book, monograph, or research paper that has been vetted by the scholarly community is regarded as reliable, where the material has been published in reputable peer-reviewed sources or by well-regarded academic presses."
- It's definitely WP:REFBOMBing here. Here's a look at the current revision:
- I still am failing to see the "meat" of the sourcing. Look at the article you have about its history. There's not a lot of what makes the company stand out on its own. It's almost WP:REFBOMBing and there's a lack of substance with the presented sources. Look at WP:SIRS for how the sources are analyzed. – The Grid (talk) 12:46, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
I'd suggest familiarizing yourself with all the WP:RS guidelines before nominating pages for deletion. These are common policies that nominators should be aware of. Alabamanian (talk) 18:32, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- It's obvious at this point you're not an English native because yikes. (You initially had a harsher reply.) This isn't a place to do bulverism. We're all here to improve articles. You're doing the same thing as described on Draft:Sam Heydt (and talk page) with WP:REFBOMBing. There's no substance with the article after all this sourcing. I said "I don't know" because I provided much bigger issues with the article. This isn't much of a debate because other editors or the closing admin will say similar things. – The Grid (talk) 22:51, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- I’d prefer to keep the discussion focused on Wikipedia policies rather than personal remarks.
- As far as I recall, I added only sources that were supporting the content in question and nothing extra was added that can be considered a REFBOMB. If you feel any such issues exists, it would be helpful to point them out in the TALK page so we can discuss and fix such issues, but that should not be an issue for deletion of page. Ultimately, the closing admin will assess the discussion and sources. Alabamanian (talk) 02:43, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Alabamanian "Refbombing" is shorthand for a qualitative issue, not measured by number of citations: "adding sources to an article without regard as to whether they support substantive or noteworthy content about the topic" (WP:REFBOMB). Other parts of Wikipedia:Citation overkill note that three inline citations are generally enough for one sentence, and that sticking to 1-3 citations per sentence is a good practice, but that doesn't mitigate the refbombing issue. Suggest reviewing Wikipedia:Don't bludgeon the process and WP:DROPTHESTICK. (I'm intending to drop my own stick here.) Dreamyshade (talk) 00:04, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
- Read what I just posted above in response to The Grid. Alabamanian (talk) 02:45, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
- Keep - Company meets WP:CORP through multiple sources providing significant coverage such as mk.co.kron, inews24.com, inet.detik.com and the 2 Textbook sections mentioned above.Sandycubs (talk) 22:14, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: The keep arguments engage NCORP but assertions of meeting this don't reflect the sourcing. Maybe some additional contributions looking at that more closely will clarify

There does not appear to be WP:SIGCOV of nueva iberica as a music genre. Google Scholar has two hits for "nueva Iberica" + music, one is about chess and the other about sugarcane production. A regular google search gets hits on Wikiwand and the Wikipedia page List of electronic music genres where the term was added by User:Splendid entry who also created Nueva Iberica. I can't see other relevant hits. In addition the text appears to be AI-generated, has very few sources, and the third paragraph explicitly states that the term is not widely used (hence the article is WP:OR: Although the specific term "Nueva Iberica" is not widely used in the published literature, it is employed here descriptively to summarise musical practices that are independently documented in these and other journalistic sources.

- Notability is determined on a topic's own merit, not because other stuff exists (that themselves may be notable on their own merits, not because of any other similar topics). Just because one series of books has its individual installments determined sufficiently notable does not automatically mean this is true of a different series of books. This article has too little information about the moment to warrant a full article on an esteemed encyclopaedia such as Wikipedia, remember that Wikipedia:Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and so low-quality articles cannot be considered for retaining. I have quickly searched this article's revision history on wikipedia.ramselehof.de and I found that this article has not had any sources since it was created in September 2007. Considering that there are no sources currently cited as a reference, it's very tricky to determine if this is a significant waterway and the article should be retained or not. - Keep: #1 criterion of WP:NBUILD as well as WP:GNG. It has "historic, social, economic, or architectural importance".
- "Kolathukara Shiva Temple. The plan is to upgrade the temple as a national heritage tourism destination considering the status of‘Shivaprathishta’ by Sree Narayana Guru after the famed Aruvippuram Prathishta in 1888." It indicates it is historically and socially significant.
- This states "It was at this temple that Sree Narayana Guru, as part of his fight against social evils, installed his second idol of Lord Siva, after the famed Aruvippuram Prathista of 1888." That's a bit of info in an RS.
- - SIGCOV about temple in RS.
- - Very detailed SIGCOV in a Govt. source
- This confirms the fact that "Sri Narayana Guru composed the Kolatireshastavam in praise of Kolathukara Mahadeva." Although the source might not be an RS, but confirms it's significance in the local culture.
- This states - "Kulathoor Kolathukara Siva Temple - 1893 March 27 (M.E 1068 Meenam 13) In this temple the Guru installed the Sivalingam by replacing an old ido Bhadrakali." Some history of the temple before its association with Guru.
- - About the worship rituals of the temple prior to the Guru's association with it.
- - Temple inaugurated by Guru and some additional coverage
- - Has some coverage although probably not an RS.
Overall, seems good enough to save the page. BhikhariInformer (talk) 20:02, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

I went through the references in this article created in 2025 and I believe that this is not existing term of a phenomenon, that would not pass usual academic review. This article is in my view connecting various works on politics with an original research without any single synthesis reference with such a name of the article and thus fails WP:OR. Article connects various descriptive political analyses about political position themes into an ideology, about which there are no relevant sources. Parts of this article would maybe make informative paragraphs about political development in various countries, but these tendencies cannot be in an article about entitled ideology, that do not have any referenced coverage and thus is not a coherent ideology. Clear evidence is that the article contains no description of the features of the ideology, but only a syncretic overview of tendencies that are not usually even common. From all the attached sources, it appears that this is a tendency that has no revived coverage for such a name and is appearing as a non-existent ideology. Anyway, an ideology or tendency of such doesn't pass relevant sourcing procedure for such title of this, when it is mentioned several times in descriptive works on politics while no connection to other suggested terms as a single entity is not sourced with the references in any way. This application possibly requires attention of good article and academic reviewers. ThecentreCZ (talk) 04:41, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

- Draftify There does seem to be use of the term "Left conservative" and "Left Conservatism" by reliable sources, see these papers , . They broadly agree with the definition given in this article. For this reason the article might well pass WP:GNG.
- However, this article as it stands is pure OR, none of the sources on the page that I've checked (admittedly only from the first sections) actually use the term "left-conservative", or its equivalents in Italian or Spanish. Not only that, but the text describes people as "left-conservative" without attribution on the basis only of one of our editors' opinion. That is dangerously close to a BLP violation. If someone wants to burn it down and rewrite from the start, then we could keep, but it isn't currently in a state where having it as a live article is an option, unfortunately.Boynamedsue (talk) 11:37, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- I don't think these sources demonstrate a GNG pass. The first source says,
This new approach—dubbed ‘left conservatism’ by Wagenknecht
. The second saysStill, Streeck seems increasingly at home with a “left conservatism” that many on the left view as a betrayal of cosmopolitan values
(quotes in original), it is also a book review, which for me means it is unreliable per WP:NEWSOPED. Kelob2678 (talk) 22:10, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

The ideology had articles on various Wikipedias in various languages but oddly did not have one in English until recently. - Strong keep. Quick search finds "left-conservatism" in common currency, especially in academic books on modern Russian politics,[1][2][3] and a particularly notable essay co-authored with Judith Butler.[4] It's actually stupidly common, so I'm not sure why the nominator claims that it is not an
existing term of a phenomenon
. There are also plenty of magazine and newspaper articles, as well.[5][6][7] The actual quality of the article might not be very high, but it is clearly a real and notable phenomena. wound theology◈ 13:53, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- There may be an argument for this in the case of Russia, but it is something of a red flag that we don't have any good articles that define it, rather they allude to it (the Unherd article is not RS) or even place it quotation marks. The article about Vassallo, written in 2024, does the latter, which is not strong evidence that this is a widely accepted term.Boynamedsue (talk) 15:18, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- Keep When leftists show culturally conservative views, they differ from ordinary (culturally liberal) leftists, which need to be distinguished. This article has a single source, from 1899. I have looked elsewhere, and am unable to find anything else about this river by this name, or what else it might be called. The only sources using this name are clones of the wikipedia page. I found a single other source, from 1900, which i am pretty sure is just a report based on the 1899 source (https://books.google.com/books?id=j20OAQAAIAAJ&pg=PA432#v=onepage&q&f=false). It's not on google maps, either.
I am guessing this river exists, but is now called something else. However, I wasn't able to determine which existing river it is (the directions listed in the source don't help-- none of the "nearby" locations are currently existing names either). If someone can determine which river this is, it could be merged, otherwise it should be deleted I think

Hello, I was questioning the legitimacy of the article to exist before committing to improving it, as well as the current problems it contains; I will discuss both.
Wikipédia : NOTABLE
Indeed, the article focuses on a small, specific group concerning only a few families. The genealogy, in order of importance, is as follows: Ouerghemma > Ouderna > Ouled Slim > Daghaghra.
You can also see that the sources don't even discuss this clan in detail, or they speak of the Ouderna/Ouerghemma in general and not the Daghaghra specifically, and primarily not about them but about their ksour (fortified villages). I don't know if that's enough for the article to be legitimately created.
POV pushing arabist, source turning and removing, source reliability
I corrected quite a few things in the history section who remained however the user https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Al-Hilali_Z seems to be focused on one point: saying that this clan is Arab on the section origin.
First, we can see that the main argument is that a certain Mohamed Bouzerara from Tataouine supposedly reported this; however, the source is uncertain and also mentions an Omani origin. Furthermore, I find no reference to this person in my research, nor any academic mention in the book. (source 5)
And the rest consists of internet articles and press articles from the depths of the internet, full of inaccuracies and contradictions, especially since they deal with academic subjects.(Source 3,4 and 6)
However, the article cites academic sources, notably that of Manel Znidi, who quotes André Louis on page 141, mentioning this tribe and describing it as Berber. He used this source to discuss the nomadic and sedentary context of the region, but not its origins. which constitutes bad faith.(Source 8)
André Louis, who is a referenced historian and, as I had indicated before he removed this, dealt with the texts of Ibn Khaldoun and the oral tradition of the region, that the group is mentioned in the 14th century as a Berber tribe. (https://www.persee.fr/doc/remmm_0035-1474_1972_num_11_1_1145 p.113)
This historian is referenced (https://www.idref.fr/185919030, https://www.persee.fr/authority/365231 and see the French Wikipedia page of André Louis) and is used by academics to talk about the region, especially since Manel Znidi is originally from Tataouine and she says so, but for me this argument will not add reliability to the source.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mhmdgrd (talk • contribs) 01:53, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

The Daghaghra page have nothing in common with others pages under AfD who don't have sources for many. Also, the user who asked for this AfD have already background with this page. We had together a long debate on the french side of Wikipedia where he try with any force to delete this page. And in January 2026, he created and page named "Deghaghra" where he tell his version of the story of this tunisian tribe with non-valid sources and he also deleted many sources for Tunisian Historians on the actual page ([], Deghaghra). This page is totally valid, and actually this AfD debate is only started by a hateful user who his previous second version of the page was deleted and edited as a redirection of the original page. Actually we have an user who just want at all cost to delete this page, he used non-valid sources or delete recent sources of contemporary historians and experts. ([] an entire debate was made on the page, and Mhmgrd was also banned for Edit warring and many other things, like he did on the Daghaghra page, and try today on the English version to continue his fight against this page, it's not a personal offense against him, but a warning to other users what he is trying since some months) Al-Hilali Z (talk) 04:53, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

- I think the article should be improved, not deleted. The topic has been covered by independent news sources, such as *Vanguard Nigeria* *Tribune Online* *The Guardian Nigeria* and *THISDAY Live*. They all talk about Alessio Ippolitos work in publishing and cryptocurrency media.
- The article may need some work on tone and sources. It seems to meet the basic requirements for being notable on Wikipedia. Many independent sources have written about the topic in some detail.
- If there are problems, with the wording or sources I am happy to make the article better. I can add citations and change the language to make sure it follows Wikipedias rules like WP:NPOV and WP:BLP.

- The article is meant to show what independent publications are saying about the subject it is not meant to be a profile or a directory entry. If you think the tone is not right or the sources are not good we can make the article better. Add more reliable sources.

- That's not my point. My point is extremely literal: no, do not try to fix it, not right now. Powerful people in Palm Beach, San Francisco, Jakarta, and New Delhi literally want you to try to "fix" your "page" so they have an excuse to shut down Wikipedia. There is no easy fix to that page. - Hi everyone, I'm an editor at Wikipedia Italy, and this entrepreneur is well-known in Italy for creating the first and only national cryptocurrency publication. It's the main educational community, and he's a well-known popular investor on eToro. I know this author because I've been reading and researching investment dynamics for years, and he's founded several sites in Italy. His site is also well-known overseas, especially in the US. In fact, it's been mentioned several times by authoritative sources, and I've added to the page. If you need anything else, please let me know. Giuseppe Pierpaoli (talk) 13:38, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

- Comment: @Giuseppe Pierpaoli I appreciate the comments you made.
The article is supposed to talk about what other people're saying about the subject in newspapers and magazines that are not connected to it. We have already mentioned a sources and if we need to we can make the article better by adding more trustworthy sources like what the Italian media is saying.
I would like to hear your ideas, for sources that would make the article stronger and make sure it follows Wikipedias rules for being important and having sources. Arman360Editor (talk) 18:43, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, I agree. I can tell you that I've added prominent international sources regarding your news outlet, such as TheBlock, Decrypt, Beincrypto, and Lefigarò. Giuseppe Pierpaoli (talk) 19:36, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Giuseppe Pierpaoli Thank you for adding those sources.
- They might be helpful if they talk about the subject or his publication. To make sure the article follows Wikipedias rules for sources it's crucial that the references discuss Alessio Ippolito or Criptovaluta.it in detail.
- If there are independent sources, from well-known publications they would help make it clearer why the subject is notable. Arman360Editor (talk) 20:49, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, these articles were produced by the respective authoritative newspapers that reproduced the national exclusives reported by Criptovaluta.it, therefore news owned exclusively by the site Ippolito founded in 2017 and of which he is the editor-in-chief. Ilgiornale.it, however, mentioned him because he was a contributor to the well-known national TV program "Chi l ha visto," which called him an expert on financial scams. Comment: There does seem to have been a there there, to the point where they applied for incorporation in 1938 with about 500 residents. So while it doesn't seen to meet WP:GEOLAND as never formally designated, it's probably worth a redirect somewhere (or a "merge" albeit with all-new cited prose). Articles in 1948 and 1963 described it as part of Howell, which appears to be a neighborhood of Evansville. A 1982 article indicated it as an Evansville neighborhood, as did a 1987 column and its follow-up (which also indicated it was known as Pleasant Village). It does appear to be within Evansville city limits. Evansville, Indiana#Neighborhoods would seem like the obvious redirect/merge target, but it's currently just a single sentence about NRHP-listed districts and doesn't actually discuss neighborhoods. WP:NOTDIC. Same goes for most of the 95 (!) other Dacian fortress of Foo
stubs in "Cities/fortresses with unknown names" section of the Template:Dacian cities. These have all been 1-sentence stubs saying "It was a Dacian fortified town." since 2012, all created by the same person, with the same website listing only the most basic facts about the site as the only source, plus an infobox. While some of these may be notable for inclusion in the List of Dacian towns and fortresses, or List of ancient cities in Thrace and Dacia, they probably deserve WP:NOPAGE on their own.
(I'm only nominating the alphabetically first one of this group (Aghireșu) as a test, to see what others think before proceeding. We don't want to end up with a WP:TRAINWRECK by nominating 96 disparate stubs for deletion).
PS: The Template:Dacian cities deserves its own critical assessment for violating several policies and guidelines on redlinking and external links to WP:SELFPUB, but that's a separate issue. For our AFD purposes here, I'll let it go for now. NLeeuw (talk) 17:48, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

- Comment If what the article claims is true, then it is notable under WP:GEOFEAT. However, I cannot find the entry for the castle on the linked site. Maybe it was removed, but notability is not temporary. Looking at the map from that site, at Aghiresu, there is a castle that is in the registry, but it is a medieval one. - Comment — there’s a whole article about it here (starting on page 83), and it’s a historic monument. I certainly understand the frustration about these seemingly permanent stubs, with no one stepping in to expand them, but these are somewhat important sites, with sources for potential expansion. - Keep, WP:NLIST says "Because the group or set is notable, the individual entries in the list do not need to be independently notable". If the TV show is notable the individual episodes can have a list. The sourcing is a problem but deletion isn't going to help. SecretSpectre (talk) 02:47, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- Keep and keep improving. Added sources where there were zero previously, revised, and expanded. The series itself easily meets WP:GNG and the WP:SPLITLIST argument also makes sense. Podge and Rodge's A Scare at Bedtime also won an Irish Film and Television Award for best entertainment programme. One of the Christmas specials is discussed in the book that is now cited in the article (by two people who guest-starred in that episode). Irish newspapers and magazines are a good place to look, if we're looking for additional critical analysis or controversy regarding specific episodes, as it seems the series did provoke a lot of complaints to RTÉ due to its lewd jokes and humo(u)r. WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE at User talk:Calliopejen1#Question from Can2645 on James Harris (defensive end) (21:06, 13 March 2026). Seems to be a marginally notable sportsperson who may technically satisfy the notability criteria but lacks any significant coverage of his sports career, which in truth is serving as a WP:COATRACK for otherwise-routine decade court proceedings with no lasting significance. * Pppery * it has begun... 00:53, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

- Keep. He appeared in 82 NFL games (51 as a starter) from 1993 to 1999. In his request for deletion, Harris claimed there were inaccuracies. That should be cleaned up, and the disproportionately long discussion of his personal life is probably WP:UNDUE in any event. I would be fine with removing the discussion of marital problems and assault charges until that can be verified/cleaned up. But deletion is not appropriate given the clear notability of a six-year NFL player. Cbl62 (talk) 01:44, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- It's all sourced to the Los Angeles Times, the Spokesman-Review, and the Deseret News. Not that undue. The article just needs expanded so that the personal life isn't the entire article. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 03:22, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- The article devotes only 243 characters to his football career and more than 3x that amount (817 characters) to unproven allegations of bigamy and to discussions of his divorce proceedings and a 30-year-old plea bargain in a third-degree assault case. So, as currently written, the presentation strikes me as completely unbalanced and disproportionately focused on negative elements of the subject's personal life, especially in an encyclopedia article on a living person. Cbl62 (talk) 04:02, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- See also WP:BLPBALANCE: "The idea expressed in Eventualism—that every Wikipedia article is a work in progress, and that it is therefore okay for an article to be temporarily unbalanced because it will eventually be brought into shape—does not apply to biographies. Given their potential impact on biography subjects' lives, biographies must be fair to their subjects at all times." Cbl62 (talk) 04:13, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

- Keep - The article needed editing, but there is plenty of coverage of his sports career, which is what you would expect for someone who played more than 80 games in the NFL, starting more than 50. I did cut down on some of the detail in the discussion of the assault charges, which in my opinion were overly detailed, but I don't think we can remove that section altogether. This article I am proposing be deleted has been unreferenced since 2019 (possibly longer) and all sources that I found via a quick Google search only return sources that mirror the content of Wikipedia, that's not a good look per WP:CIRCULAR, that makes it seem like this topic has been invented by the author of this article with this topic having no real verifiability via links to external sources. - Delete. Unreferenced. No proof of notability. Questionable verifiability. It's not even mentioned in the Major League Roller Hockey article as the Newron Cup and only gets one passing mention as the Jason Cup in a way that does not demonstrate notability. The Google News search has so little on it that it assumes the name to be a spelling mistake. Article is a near orphan with just one incoming link via the redirect from Jason Cup. --DanielRigal (talk) 05:43, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
Subject fails to meet the WP:GNG because of a lack of WP:SIGCOV from reliable, independent sources. All I could find was his obituary at [], which doesn't even mention his brief NFL career and just based on content, can't be considered significant. The only references actually in the article are databases. A redirect to 1926 Hartford Blues season#Roster may be a suitable WP:ATD. Let'srun (talk) 17:41, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

- I also understand that there is a book covering some early Blues players, called First and Ten: Pro Football Players Born in Italy, but I am unsure if Santone is covered there. Even then, I'd be a bit hesitant on keeping this as it appears that it is self-published. Let'srun (talk) 17:46, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Keep(struck for the moment), the First and Ten book has a six-page section on Santone, and was written by the historian / journalist Fausto Batella, one of the top experts of Italian football (1 2 3). Enough for WP:SPORTCRIT. There's enough to write a WP:NBASIC-compliant article here. BeanieFan11 (talk) 18:05, 24 February 2026 (UTC)- Is the book self-published, though? If it isn't, I'll be willing to withdraw this. Let'srun (talk) 18:13, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Batella published the book, but he's one of the top-regarded experts on the subject of Italian football. Self-published sources can be considered reliable if authored by experts. BeanieFan11 (talk) 18:17, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Can you see what the book says about him? There was an Al Santone recorded with the Hartford Blues in 1926. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 19:09, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- It's viewable here. To be fair there's a lot of content in his section that isn't directly on him, but IMO there's still enough to be SIGCOV. Though that's interesting that the newspapers say it was someone named Al who was playing for the Blues that year. I'll have to look further when I get the chance. - Redirect to 1926 Hartford Blues season. I tried, but my searches turned up no WP:SIGCOV -- the closest thing is the obituary (probably a paid death notice given details about visitation, requiem mass, and burial) which makes no mention of his football "career". My hopes were raised by the book linked by Beanie -- a whole chapter about Santone! But then I read the chapter in full, and it is not about Santone. It is filled with generic facts about the history of Italian immigration and football in Hartford. The only information about Santone are the same bare facts set forth in database entries: (i) he played two games for Hartford, and (ii) dates and places of birth and death. A redirect preserves the article history so that it can be unearthed if and when true significant coverage is found. Cbl62 (talk) 15:39, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
