Wikipedia:If it ain't broke, don't fix it
Essay on editing Wikipedia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If there is no evidence of a real problem, and fixing the "problem" would not effectively improve Wikipedia, then don't waste your or other editors' time and energy trying to fix it.
This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article or a Wikipedia policy, as it has not been reviewed by the community. |
On the other hand, if something is slightly broken in a way that you care about, and fixing it improves the encyclopedia a little, then feel free to fix it.
