This collaboration is an offshoot of WikiProject Apple Inc. in its quest to provide detailed and concise information in articles relating to Apple Inc. The goal of separating the collaboration was directed at

1. standardization by the use of the term "collaboration":
2. the ability to allow Wikipedians to participate without making a formal commitment such as to a WikiProject
3. to advertise this collaboration and attract potentially interested Wikipedians.

This page is currently inactive and is retained for historical reference. Either the page is no longer relevant or consensus on its purpose has become unclear. To revive discussion, seek broader input via a forum such as the village pump.

The bot then updates Wikipedia:Apple Inc. collaboration/current with the pick, and the collaboration begins. If there is consensus that a selected article is not felt to be suitable for collaboration, then the bot will be requested to "re-roll" and select a different article. Articles that have previously been chosen for collaboration will not be chosen again.
