Comment: If I understand the licensing information correctly, the screenshot would not be appropriate on the grounds that it depicts a "beta release product." I think you'd need to replace the general Microsoft license with a fair-use license as long at the screenshot is vital to understanding the topic, and not merely used for decoration. —JmaJeremy•Ƭalk•Cont 06:24, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

I don't know how to reply to this properly (with note tags /w my name) but yes the account is mine, I made the derivative work, if any copyright from me is needed (I don't feel I own any) I "release" it under full fair use (creative commons or whatever it is called, so that it can be used in anyway that does not violate the rights of the original copyright holder). Comment: Hi, Apigrowmax. It looks like that file is hosted on Wikimedia Commons with a license claiming that it is public domain on the basis of it consisting only of simple shapes. I'm not quite sure it really holds up by Commons standards, especially since it's accompanied by a trademark tag. In any case, I wouldn't be comfortable uploading a new version as I'm unsure of its copyright status. It sounds like you have close ties to the company in question, so if you have the authority to license it under a free license (e.g. {{cc-by-sa}}), feel free to upload it to Commons yourself using the upload form at Commons:Special:UploadWizard. Comment: Thanks Jmajeremy. The logo is copyright and a trademark of our company. I had originally wanted to upload it as fair use company logo, but wiki wouldn't allow me to upload until I made 10 edits, which isn't something I'm going to have time to do right away. I do work for Americas Petrogas and created this vector based version of the logo. Often times when people are putting things together and need our logo they just grab whatever pops up first in a google image search and that is usually what is on the wiki for API. So my intention here is to give people a better company logo to use. I really don't see the difference between the current image and the one you linked to, other than the resolution. One of the rules of fair-use images is that it must only be large enough so that it adequately represents what the logo is supposed to look like. If you want to upload a larger version then you would need to agree to send written permission to Wikimedia Commons using this e-mail template. Gonna have to redo it then, I was pretty sure the pdf would have saved as a vector since it was all designed in illustrator.... What I have done now is to scale the image so it appears smaller, and saved it as a svg so that it will never lose resolution since its a scalable vector graphic. I did check the image, although I missed that it was on Commons. It's gone from there now. My position is that if the software being screenshotted didn't change (requester did not indicate that it was a new edition of Adobe Audition) there is no reason to update the image. The only thing that would change between an update from Windows 7 to Windows 8 is the border. When that's the case, I still maintain that there's no reason to update. GAME DESCRIPTION: THE WHITE BALL IS POSITIONED ON THE CIRCULAR SHOOTING POINT, IDEALLY PLAYERS SHOULD START FROM 0 BUT PLAYERS CAN DECIDE ON WHICH POINT TO START FROM. THE PLAYER IS EXPECTED TO SHOOT ON THE YELLOW BALL WITHOUT MISSING TARGET. N SHORTS WILL BE MADE FROM A CIRCULAR SHOOTING POINT ON A YELLOW BALL PLACED ON M RESPECTIVE RECTANGULAR POINT. THE PLAYER WILL DO THE SAME FOR ALL THE SHOOTING POINT. THE RECTANGULAR POINT IS CALLED THE RECEIVING POINT WHILE THE CIRCULAR THE SHOOTING POINT. EVERY SHOT THAT HIT THE YELLOW BALL MAKES A POINT. M POINTS IS EXPECTED TO BE MADE PER SHOOTING POINT. THE TOTAL POINT SHALL BE THE NUMBER OF SHOOTING POINT (N) MULTIPLIED BY THE NUMBER OF RECEIVING POINTS (M).
