I'd like to request the upload of a better logo for WVMJ. (450px × 325px), 51.59 KB - JPEG Image

This better logo for WVMJ was obtained from the Magic 104 website.

This logo is the highest-quality image of the logo for WVMJ to ever be made available on the Internet and it is also the most recent version of the WVMJ logo. Although I'd absolutely LOVE IT if this better logo for WVMJ could be uploaded at its original-resolution…if this better logo for WVMJ needs to be shrunk, I'm requesting that the larger dimension (that being the horizontal width) please be set to exactly 400 pixels.

The WVMJ Logo Appears Big On The Article's Main Page Only But Doesn't Seem To Be Any Bigger Here…At Least At The Moment: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4c/WVMJ_Logo.jpg

I'd like to request for the upload of the WLKC "105.7 The River" logo into the WXRV article (to be added to the WXRV article but not to replace the WXRV logo) (Uploaded so that the larger dimension measures at 400 or 450 pixels, perhaps, if the original-resolution is too big). The WLKC "105.7 The River" logo was obtained from the Facebook Page for WLKC "105.7 The River" and should be added to the WXRV article but should not replace the logo for WXRV.

WLKC "105.7 The River" doesn't have it's own separate article, which is why the WLKC "105.7 The River" Logo must be added into the WXRV article.

I'd also like to request for a Re-Upload of the WXRV Logo so that it can be at the largest quality possible (not in the info box in the main page of the article but, rather, the actual upload itself). This logo was obtained from the Facebook Page for WCTB.

This logo looks to be too big to be uploaded at its original resolution, but I'm requesting that it at least be uploaded at the highest resolution possible (suggesting that perhaps a width of 650 or 675 pixels might be good for this one).

This logo looks small enough to be uploaded at its original size.

There's a alternative option, this logo, which was obtained from the Facebook Page for WCTB; although, the resolution for this image is far worse. (457px × 222px), 24.11 KB - JPEG Image

I'd like to request for the upload of the logo for WSKW. (226px × 121px), 10.05 KB - JPEG Image

This logo was obtained from the Facebook Page of the parent company, Mountain Wireless, Inc.

This logo proves a recent change in format, as too does this page within the 93.5 True Oldies website. This recent change in format seems to be recognized, in the WSKW article so that's in place.

There's an astoundingly-large version of this logo that existed on a "Coming Soon" page from early 2012, but I can't for the life of me get it to load up, even in archive.org and, whenever the page starts to load up, I accidentally tap the "F5" key before I can give it a chance to load (because I keep tapping the key rapidly until something loads up but when something finally decides to load up, I am so used to tapping "F5" repeatedly that I accidentally tap it when it actually decides to load up, thereby getting me back to the page not loading at all). WSKW does not, at this time, have a website. The website link provided for WSKW is a dead link.

This transparent-background image was obtained from the WBACH 106.9 FM website.

Although, the currently-uploaded image is identified as being from the link I provided here, it's actually a different image that was obtained from the WBACH 106.9 FM website from a point in time when Nassau Broadcasting Partners still owned the station, an image without a transparent background. Also, the logo's visual appearance has been modified a bit when the ownership transferred, primarily the silver ribbon along the top of the logo is now much less glossy than it used to be back when Nassau Broadcasting Partners owned the station.

I'd like to request for the upload of the new transparent-background logo file for WHXR. (235px × 148px), 8.74 KB - PNG Image

This transparent-background image was obtained from the 105.5 Frank FM website.

This transparent-background image could greatly benefit from a crop-editing procedure, for the logo itself is centered vertically in the middle of the image, thereby causing there to be tons of excess space containing blank imagery, both above and below the logo itself.

Although, the currently-uploaded image is identified as being from the link I provided here, it's actually a different image that was obtained from the WHXR 106.3 FM website from a point in time when the "Website Coming Soon" Header was still present on the website (and the "Website Coming Soon" Header was not a transparent image).

Although, the currently-uploaded image is identified as being from the link I provided here, it's actually a different image that was obtained from the 107.5 Frank FM website from a point in time when Nassau Broadcasting Partners still owned the station, an image without a transparent background. Also, the logo's visual appearance has been modified a bit when the ownership transferred, primarily the glossy silver ribbon surrounding the text characters of the logo from when Nassau Broadcasting Partners owned the station no longer exists in the logo for this station.

Although, the currently-uploaded image is identified as being from the link I provided here, it's actually a different image that was obtained from the 106.3 Frank FM website from a point in time when Nassau Broadcasting Partners still owned the station, an image without a transparent background. Also, the logo's visual appearance has been modified a bit when the ownership transferred, primarily the glossy silver ribbon surrounding the text characters of the logo from when Nassau Broadcasting Partners owned the station no longer exists in the logo for this station.

This better logo could benefit greatly from a crop-editing procedure, as the logo itself is centered within the middle of this square-shaped image. A crop-editing procedure could very well drastically-reduce how shrunk down the logo itself would need to be, in the resolution-reduction process! This could, in turn, maximize the size of the logo after the resolution-reduction procedure in Wikipedia is undergone. :)

This better logo is truly massive, but I request for the upload to consist of a resolution that could average to either roughly 400 pixels or 450 pixels (after cropping, that is).

I have a question regarding logos that might be made available online in PDF format only. Is it possible for logos to be extracted out of PDF files (by the uploader) and uploaded to the Wikipedia article corresponding to the station of the extracted logo? I notice that for certain articles (such as WFLC, WEDR, and WHQT), the logos were all extracted from a PDF file. I've got a few radio stations I know of that don't have any active websites but they have PDF files which feature the logos. Here It Is: The radio station logo for WLTN (AM), enclosed within the upper half of this PDF file. The parent company of WLTN (AM) seems to be Radio New England Broadcasting, LLC and the "Oldies 1400 & The Golden Great 98.5" portion of the upper half of this PDF file seems to be the logo for WLTN (AM) (everything above the light-green-font "Featuring the Greatest Hits of the 60ʼs, & 70ʼs !" and possibly excluding-or-including the jukebox image).

On the Help Desk page, I was informed by Toshio Yamaguchi that, "This can be uploaded as a free work, because it fails the threshold of originality required for copyright protection. In the file upload wizard, you can simply select This is a free work. Then select This file is in the Public Domain for some other reason. Select It is too simple to be eligible for copyright. Select Item consists solely of a few indiviual words or letters."

To Toshio Yamaguchi, I stated that "I'm afraid that I don't upload images myself. This is partially so, because I wish to avoid accountability if anything is wrong with what I upload or whether a copyright issue gets violated. I present the URL links to the images I wish to have uploaded to the Files For Upload page. It is very easy to violate a copyright and I'm a bit too faint-of-heart to run that risk. The logo for WLTN (AM) is partially-added (courtesy of Toshio Yamaguchi); however, I wished for most of the upper-half of the file to be added, such as the "Oldies 1400" and "Golden Great 98" and stuff like that (like, multiple images that all make up the logo) to be added. I do appreciate the already-existing upload; however, I'd just like to clarify that multiple images existing at the upper half of the PDF file of mention all make up the logo, such as the "Oldies 1400" and "Golden Great 98" and Blue-Text "WLTN" and, quite possibly, the jukebox image. Is it possible for a non-member Wikipedia editor to upload a picture to an article directly from their computer? I'm just wondering. I have the complete logo for WLTN (AM) that I've extracted out of a PDF file and saved to my computer as a PNG file (without a transparent background). It was a very tricky and tedious process for me, because I wanted to make the dimensions exactly (730px × 320px) in size and I needed to white out a part of the area that was not a part of the radio station's logo. I worked very hard and diligently generating that PNG file and I was just curious about whether there is any I could upload it directly from my computer (in spite of the fact that I am not a member of Wikipedia). The nice, round values for the pixel dimensions of this non-transparent PNG image file is simply for easier calculations if the image would need to be shrunk down during the uploading process, to protect any potential copyright concerns.

Like most Small-Town Full-Service Radio Stations Without Websites, the logos are saved into Non-Transparent formats. Usually, the larger radio stations from higher-ranked Arbitron markets tend to have more options, as far as transparent-background PNG image availability of their station logos are concerned. Radio stations serving the Boston, Massachusetts area are probably gonna be a lot more likely to have transparent-background PNG logo images than, say, radio stations serving rural Vermont or the New Hampshire North Country.

I'm requesting the upload of the transparent version of the logo for WKLB-FM. (400px × 136px), 51.16 KB - PNG Image

This bigger logo image was obtained from the Country 102.5 website.

This bigger logo image could benefit greatly from a crop-editing procedure, for the logo itself exists in the far-lefthand side of the image and there's lots of excess blank space within the image that appears to the right of the logo that is not a part of the actual logo itself (the right-most quarter of the image, I'd say, is all none other than blank space with nothing on it). Also, the very bottom of the image file consists of blank space as well, just like the top-most fringes of the file. The logo itself is sort of centered within the middle of the image but, for the most part, occupies the left-most parts of the image file.

This more recent logo was obtained from Facebook Page for WBYY.

The WBYY logo has since been redesigned since the prior Wikipedia upload of the logo from 07:57PM on 2 October, 2008 (the "Soft Rock" appearing inside the oval (instead of on top of it) and the background, which was formerly black, had been switched to be white).

This more recent logo is the most recent logo for WBYY, featuring white background.

No higher-quality logos are available for this station, nor are there any PNG Image options or non-opaque background options; however, this more recent logo image is the most recently-made-available copy of the WBYY logo being made available online. WBYY seems to take copyright very seriously, as they are making available online very low-quality JPEG versions at very low-resolutions. The link I have provided is to the highest-quality copy of the WBYY logo available online, as of this moment in time.

The currently-listed logo was derived from an older version of the station's website and I suspect that it has since been removed from the Internet and is probably easily-presumed to be a dead link, at this point, I would guess.

The logo for WWIS (AM) occupies the upper right-hand corner of the right half of this image and needs to be cropped out of this image. The logo for WWIS (AM) is basically everything above "Black River Falls WI" and is basically consistent of "WWiS" in yellow letters on top with "am 1260" in a handwritten-type of black font on the bottom. Maybe, during the cropping process, the top-most portions of the white area above the yellow "WWiS" at the bottom of the WWIS (AM) logo could also afford to get chopped off as well as anything below the white "am 1260" at the bottom of the WWIS (AM) logo, to lead for an even amount of white buffer surrounding the logo itself. I don't want the cropping to be extremely close. I'd like for there to be some white buffer surrounding all four sides of the WWIS (AM) logo itself, after the cropping process, please.

I'd like to request for a re-upload of the logo for WJMN (FM) but into a PNG format.

When it was shrunk down to the (480px × 329px) resolution that you've selected, this image suddenly started to gather lots of moiré within it (please, see this sample). It was fine before but then when it got shrunk down, something happened. I think the issue should be brought to your attention.

I was wondering whether saving this image as a PNG file as you reduce its resolution to (480px × 329px) might reduce the occurrence of moiré considerably. Well, at least these are my suspicions.

450 Pixels seems to be a very reasonable Maximum Size Limit for file size for a radio station logo that's protected by copyright law. 450 Pixels seems to me to be right at the cut-off where the image could just barely be able to squeak by being allowed to be uploaded at it's original resolution (but even a slightly larger size of such an image would require a shrinkage during the uploading process).

This logo was obtained from the WKSQ Website.

This image is the highest-quality version of the WKSQ to currently be available on the Internet

This logo needs to be cropped out of this image. The logo itself appears within a slightly-discolored-off-white square within the image. The logo, itself is surrounded by a square of space within the whole image that is shaded slightly darker then the rest of the image.

The logo for WKSQ has never changed, since 2008. The design is currently being used in the WKSQ logo, to this very day.
