Free beer is something someone gives to someone as a way to say thankyou. It's almost always seen as an act of kindness in return for an act of kindness unless someone gives you the cheap Piss... water... that costs <$1/50p per can/bottle (I.e. Tesco Value Larger.) Beer is often chosen as the free drink of choice because most people like it, If you do not like free beer/are not old enough to drink then see the template for free soft drink

What Free beer is
- A great way to say thanks (I.E. Thanks for the war effort)
- Totally awesome to recive
- Something to enjoy after recognised hard work
- Something almost everyone can enjoy
What Free beer is not
- A cheap way to say thanks (As the cheap stuff is more of an insult)
What Free soft drink is
- A drink suitable to give to a wikipedian who doesn't drink/like/isn't allowed alcohol
