ASBS Conference Wiki for Botanists Workshop
Heidi Meudt and Siobhan Leachman will be presenting a full-day workshop at the ASBS 2025 Conference intended to enhance participant's digital outreach skills by teaching attendees to edit and enrich Australasian botany information in Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons. The Wiki for Botanists workshop is open and relevant to anyone attending the Australasian Systematic Botany Society 2025 Conference.
The in-person “Wiki for Botanists” workshop will be held at Armidale City Bowling Club, 92–96 Dumaresq St, Armidaleon on Sunday 2 November from 9am to 4.30pm. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is included. Only 25 spots are available.

- The virtual "Wiki for Botanists" webinar was held on 14 October 2025 via Zoom. Please make sure you have watched this prior to the workshop on 2 November as it contains important background information. The recording and slides are available on Commons (the video is also on Youtube, and the slides and script are on Zenodo.
Wikipedia account setup
- Make sure you have a Wikipedia account prior to the workshop on 2 November. Think of a username (this can take some time, make sure you have some alternatives in case yours is already being used), and follow along this short video.
