Event description
We invite film enthusiasts, Utah Wikimedians, WikiCurious, WikiCapable, WikiProject Film, the Film festivals task force, and friends to celebrate Wikipedia's 25th birthday in Park City during the Sundance Film Festival. This is part of a series of Wikipedia Day celebrations being held around the world.
The event will take place at The Shop, 1167 Woodside Avenue, Park City, UT 84060. We have a limited amount of parking behind the Shop, as well as at some nearby houses.
Curious about how a movie or person gets a page on Wikipedia? Want to learn how to edit Wikipedia yourself? Enjoy celebrations? This is the place for you. Experienced Wikipedians are happy to chat about all things wiki. They can also help you navigate the culture and policies of Wikipedia. We'll have a focus on films and filmmakers at Sundance, but won't be limited to this festival.
