- @WikiOriginal-9 @Thetreesarespeakingtome: why are John Perin (American football), Drew Davis (American football coach), and Tim Mathis notable? Also pinging @CostalCal, who's reviewed some of the articles. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:25, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- A random selection of sources from Dick Hopkins seem to be brief mentions. Which sources contain significant coverage? voorts (talk/contributions) 00:28, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- Under WP:Notability (sports)#College athletes and coaches, a college head coach is notable. CostalCal (talk) 03:52, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi everyone, I've created 55 articles dating back to 2010. In that time, five have been deleted, but only one since 2017. Another one was recreated, so only four deletions overall. One of my fairly recent articles, Hymns from the Rig Veda, was selected a few months ago for the Main Page 'Did You Know' column. Hoping you will consider me for AP, cheers. merlinVtwelve (talk) 06:09, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) Xtools shows you've created no articles in 2026 and 11 in 2025, with only one since August of last year. Do you intend to increase your content creation? Otherwise there's not really any benefit to being autopatrolled because at this pace your creations are not a meaningful burden for patrollers to review. - Indeed, I've been on something of a WikiBreak recently. However, I have some articles that I'm developing offline at the moment and intend to start getting back into article creation in the near future. merlinVtwelve (talk) 20:04, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

Previously had autopatrolled, but it was removed over a year ago. I have created 335 articles in the last few years; none have been deleted since October 2024. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 20:27, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

I have created approximately 30 articles to date. On April 4th, one of my articles, the Pacific Marine Mammal Center was recently listed on the Wikipedia main page in the "Did you know..." section with the hook, "... that lungworms led to the creation of the Pacific Marine Mammal Center?" I believe this demonstrates my commitment to adhering to WP policies well beyond the basic requirements, having created a newly written article of sufficient quality to placement on the main page. I am well-acquainted with and fully support the policies governing article creation, particularly WP:GNG, WP:SIGCOV and the various subject-specific notability guidelines and I will continue to adhere to them to the best of my ability. - @Gjb0zWxOb: why does PMMC meet WP:NORG? Why does Privacy4Cars meet WP:NCORP? voorts (talk/contributions) 04:33, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- For PMMC, the center received significant, in-depth coverage that focused on the center specifically in outlets such as the LA Times, Orange County Register, and many others, even about specific developments it was doing like the $14 million expansion and the organization's founding story. Privacy4Cars is covered extensively in many reliable sources and its products were described substantively in CNBC, Consumer Reports, Vice, and AP News coverage that is more than a passing mention but admittedly, a number of the sources discuss vehicle data privacy broadly and only mention P4C but I do think that the substantive description of the Corp's product from a diverse group of highly reputable sources does assist in having it meet NCORP. Gjb0zWxOb (talk) 15:22, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Gjb0zWxOb: WP:SIRS requires secondary sourcing. For PMMC in particular, those all seem to be primary sources or routine coverage. voorts (talk/contributions) 15:40, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- I would like to understand your concern better. The 2016 OC Register article is a secondary source written by an independent journalist about the organization's founding and history and the 2023 LA Times article substantially covers the $14 million expansion of the center. Many of the other sources I used are similarly staff-written articles from independent reliable publications that go beyond routine reporting. There may be a couple sources used that are routine coverage, but I believe that the article as a whole has sufficient independent, reliable, secondary sourcing to meet NORG. I have created over 100 articles on Wikipedia. Two of them were apparently deleted, but that was over 5 years ago when I first started editing and had no clue about Wikipedia policy. I frequently split new articles out of redirects from other ones, especially obscure language articles, and none of my articles violate major content policies. One of my more recent articles, being Solar eclipse of October 22, 2137 BC, was featured on the DYK column of the main page. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 05:20, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I create articles semi-regularly and this right would lessen the burden on patrollers. I've created over 70 articles, with 2 GAs and 3 DYKs as a result. I have not had an article I created deleted. Turini2 (talk) 15:05, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
