New page reviewer

User:Sarge Graham

Hey, I'm requesting access again since my one-month trial period has expired. Sarge Graham (talk) 12:10, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

Sarge Graham, could you comment on your process for reviewing Burnout Syndrome? signed, Rosguill talk 19:00, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
Sorry, I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly. I reviewed the article because, in my opinion, it meets all the necessary criteria for review. I also checked to see if similar articles by the author had been flagged in the past. The author has already published numerous such articles, all of which were reviewed without any objections. Sarge Graham (talk) 08:00, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
Sarge Graham, in particular I'm interested in a clarification of your assessment of whether the article meets notability guidelines. What was your impression of the sources cited, did you find additional coverage elsewhere, etc.? signed, Rosguill talk 14:20, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
Having reviewed similar articles that had already been assessed, I assumed that this one had been too. I could not identify any special circumstances that would have warranted different treatment. In future, I will take even greater care to ensure that the relevance guidelines are followed, and if I am unsure, I wont make a decision. Sarge Graham (talk) 09:09, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Sarge Graham, ok, in that case my thinking is that your trial run should be extended for another month. FWIW, the red flags that drew Burnout Syndrome to my attention is the lack of a Reception or Production section (with the former being the bigger reason for concern), as in practice all substantive independent coverage of a subject is going to take the form of either critics' reviews, or news coverage of the production/impact of the film--an article that's just a synopsis and cast list may as well be an advertisement. Upon looking through the actual cited sources, they appear to be promotional, promotional, promotional, crowdsourced--ultimately the best cited source appears to be this, which provides only fleeting (if effusive) coverage of the series' trailer alone. signed, Rosguill talk 13:53, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for trusting me and your explanation. This will help me review articles more effectively in future. Sarge Graham (talk) 07:37, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

I would like to gain new page reviewer permissions in order to help reduce the massive unreviewed pages backlog. ozmoozmo@enwiki (talk:contribs) 00:47, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

After my second one-month trial, I am requesting full NPP rights. Although I haven't been as active during this month as I had initially anticipated, I feel like I've gained the necessary skill and knowledge to reduce the backlog and guide other editors (especially for translated articles like the ones I saw/reviewed). I could have also been a bit more involved with AfD, but I think my reviewed pages were adequate.

If this right will not be extended full time, I completely understand. I just think this is an area that I can continue to improve in and make the encyclopedia better.

Thank you again for the trial regardless, and for considering this request. Losipov (talk) 17:51, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

Losipov, overall I'm satisfied by your track record, but I'd appreciate it if you could remember and share what sources you felt made the case for meeting notability guidelines at Anatolii Kasianov. Separately, while I don't think this is immediately disqualifying, you missed some clear signs of WP:UPE at Youssef Wahby, namely that the main editor of the page has a promotional name and claimed the glossy infobox photo as their own work (and also, there appears to have been attempts at self-promotion previously). signed, Rosguill talk 17:07, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
@Rosguill, thank you for the feedback!
So regarding the Anatolii Kasianov article, I think i was mainly focused on footnotes 12, 19-21, and 23 (these are TheWrap, Hollywood Reporter, and Variety sources) to meet the notability guidelines. I have the "Cite Unseen" script (I think that's what it's called) that highlights sources as reliable, unreliable, etc. They were shown as reliable sources, so in my mind I was satisfied with what I saw upon further inspection. Admittedly I should have checked the other sources in the article to see if they were also reliable (and potentially flag the page for that), but nevertheless, I based my review of those footnotes I mentioned.
Regarding the Youssef Wahby page, I'll admit I did not check the page's revision history, otherwise I would have seen that editor's name. The infobox photo is indeed something I missed, but looking back I'm not 100% sure I would've seen that they took the credit for the photo. This is clearly something I could work on, and my apologies if it caused any sort of inconvenience.
I hope my responses make at least some sense. If you think my comments warrant disqualification, I understand. I just wanted to provide some context and answer your question(s).
Thank you again :) Losipov (talk) 17:40, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the prompt reply. My concern at Anatolii Kasianov is that the sources you identify (and more generally) aren't actually coverage of Kasianov, they're primarily coverage of his company, Holywater Tech. Coverage of Kasianov himself is both fleeting and exclusively in the context of his capacity as a representative/leader of his company. In a situation like this, where we only have coverage of someone in the context of a single specific role, we should typically merge/redirect to the related topic. With that in mind, I think it would be appropriate to extend your trial run for another month. signed, Rosguill talk 17:50, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Done extending trial run--mostly good track record, but missed some UPE signs and a notability edge case signed, Rosguill talk 17:50, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello fellow editors! I'd like to apply for NPR rights. For a while now, I've been contributing in various ways (editing and translating articles, participating in AfD-related activities (both nominating and voting), helping with the welcoming committee, etc.) and I would appreciate it if the community granted me the opportunity to participate in NPR. I believe my knowledge and the experience I've gained from participating in AfD discussions make me eligible for this role. Previously, I've applied here too and was accepted, and delivered. I'd like to be useful here again for the community. Lorraine Crane (talk) 22:35, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

I'd like to request new page patrol rights as I believe I can help with the backlog and have worked in anti-vandalism among other things for some time on Wiki - this would be another way to do some Gnome work. I'd like to get more involved in the present day on Wiki and this seems a good place to start. Porterjoh (talk) 01:02, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I am requesting New Page Reviewer rights so I can expand my toolset and help contribute to the growing backlog. I have been working on cleaning up new pages. I also have experience participating in AfD, patrolling for vandalism, and draftifying low-quality submissions, all of which has helped me develop a feel for notability and sourcing questions. Thanks for considering my request! FiddleheadLady (talk) 00:40, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
