- Resource link and title:The Ryukyu Islands: A New History from the Stone Age to the Present. The book is available as a PDF download for US$35.
- Link to request on RX: N/A (whole book)
I plan to use it on various Ryukyu-related articles, mainly the kings of the Second Shō dynasty, the Gusuku Period, and possibly the articles on Okinawa Island and the Ryukyu Kingdom generally. Generalissima (talk) (it/she) 02:09, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

The resource will be used to improve various articles on Japanese cinema, particularly relevant for films of the Japanese New Wave, and will contribute to improvements on the broader Japanese New Wave article page.--Plifal (talk) 15:02, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

- Link to request on RX: N/A, full book needed.
Now this is quite a shot in the dark, but I'm planning a series of articles on Air Serbia and its prior historical iterations. This seems to be one of the best books on the topic, especially considering it goes all the way up to 2013 (there is another one, but it only goes up to 2007, and was published by the airline, so possibly slightly promotional), and it teases "the stories of the 50 most notable figures in the company", something that could be interesting elsewhere. The main issue is that it's seriously obscure. The 2022 edition (ISBN 978-86-904162-0-2) has barely leaked into Worldcat (), whereas the 2025 one (ISBN 978-86-908158-0-7) hasn't at all. The only reputable Serbian bookshop I see that sells either is this, and its a bit pricey for a personal purchase. JustARandomSquid (talk) 13:35, 5 February 2026 (UTC)

- Resource link and title: A Zimbabwean Past: Shona Dynastic Histories and Oral Traditions (1994) Abe Books, £65/$90
- Link to request on RX: Full book so can't request on RX, it's also not available anywhere online (including in shadow libraries)
Sorry to come back so soon. This book unfortunately revises some of Shona history, and the two best sources I have are dated before it (Mudenge 1988 and Beach 1980). If granted I'll use it to assist in rewriting Mutapa Empire (incl. creating Draft:History of the Mutapa Empire) and Rozvi Empire as well as the other Shona states, and basically consult it for anything else I do on Zimbabwean history Kowal2701 (talk) 18:33, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

- Resource link and title: Ngbanzo, A. (Ed.) (with Dean, D.). (2024). Who are you Dorothy Dean? (R. Valinksy & D. Crowch, Trans.; Édition bilingue.). Éditions 1989. ISBN 2958108414 - Available on Abebooks, Amazon etc.
- Link to request on RX: Not applicable, need the entire book.
I will use the essays inside this book to expand Dorothy Dean, as well as create summaries of her writing that are included in the book. Because the book is in English and French, I will then translate the English article to French Wikipedia. The French versions of the articles will allow me to double check and reference the French text, which is most relevant to the French reader.
The book should also allow expansions to other articles relating to Dean's work within Andy Warhol's Factory. Jimmyjrg (talk) 14:10, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for your request! This one could become difficult to source, as it looks like the Abebooks copy may be the only (feasible) one, but we can try. I'll send an email with next steps. RAdimer-WMF (talk) 04:26, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks @RAdimer-WMF. There are still cheaper copies on Amazon DE, Amazon IT, and Amazon UK too. Not sure why it's gone so expensive on Amazon FR. Jimmyjrg (talk) 06:56, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Currently working on Baybayin and since the source is about the article's subject, having the entire book is beneficial. Can't find any libraries near me that sell this book; online market prices are too expensive. Elias 🦗🐜 [Chat, they chattin', they chat] 02:19, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Using this to improve Anton Palvadre, since a lot of the sources were print only, and this is a pretty good collection of them. Not too sure about prices, but found this price sheet: https://www.rara.ee/wp-content/uploads/Hinnakiri_RaRa_2025_1_07_2025.pdf
All of them would be pretty useful, though ERA.5029.1.1 and ERA.5029.1.2 are the most important. Cheers! monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 19:30, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Monkeysmashingkeyboards: To confirm, this would be requesting a scan of the collection from the National Archives of Estonia? It looks like download might be a bit complicated given how their accounts work (i.e., you may need to log in with the account that purchases the scan), but I can email to check on the logistics. Best, RAdimer-WMF (talk) 21:15, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply, yes, I am requesting a scan. They should provide PDFs afaik, but you should probably email them to confirm since machine translation isn't all that reliable. Cheers! monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 01:07, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Monkeysmashingkeyboards: Ok! I've emailed. In the interim I'll mark this as approved and send you an email with next steps. RAdimer-WMF (talk) 04:16, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
