WikiProject GovDirectory adds weekly Collab Hour for Americas time zones

WikiProject GovDirectory has added a weekly Collab Hour in a time slot that is more user friendly for folks in Americas time zones, we hope you'll check it out. We'll be there Thursdays, 8-9 PM Eastern (5-6 PM Pacific). Details are on the GovDirectory project page. Se habla español.

While GovDirectory is primarily a Wikidata project, there is also work to do to in Wikipedia on list and Category articles. Mexico does not yet appear on the GovDirectory website, so this would be a great opportunity to start by making basic information available about the main government agencies. Playami Beach

This is a beach in Tijuana, which literally means "my beach at Aunt Juana's ranch." I tried a Google search, but found only a similarly named beach in Cuba. Could someone please find and add reliable sources? Bearian (talk) 01:28, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

  • @Bearian: I don't think there's any. I did a look through some local newspapers and couldn't find anything. There's a restaurant called Playami by Border Psycho but that's about it. This article looks like it could be nominated for deletion. Morogris () 04:21, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, Morogris. I might just redirect or smerge this. I'll wait for a few days to see if anyone else has ideas or offline sources. Bearian (talk) 11:49, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
  • @Bearian: I'd say we should delete if there are no sources for it instead of merging/redirecting. I can nominate it on Friday if we don't hear back! Appreciate you surfacing this. Morogris () 20:41, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, Morogris. Bearian (talk) 20:42, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Unsourced articles

2005 Mexican elections and LX Legislature of the Mexican Congress have both been unsourced for 20+ years. If anyone can help add sources I would appreciate it. Thanks.4meter4 (talk) 02:06, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Río de Agua de Vida Airstrip

Notice

The article Río de Agua de Vida Airstrip has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced for over 17 years. Tagged as Unreferenced for 6 years and for notability concerns for 5 months. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Fails the relevant notability guidelines. Run of the mill Landing strip.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.

If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Bearian (talk) 10:33, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
