Dutch loaf

This exists, but it hasn't been popular in decades, and searches online show a lack of significant coverage. Can we merge this somewhere? Bearian (talk) 11:42, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

I think it could be merged to lunch meat. Valereee (talk) 18:37, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
Ok. Bearian (talk) 19:21, 18 January 2026 (UTC)

Standalone article for each shape of pasta?

In light of Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Sagnarelli, let's talk about whether we really need a stand-alone article for each named shape of pasta. Perhaps we could have one article designated for shape variants of pasta. The article in question was full of exceedingly poor quality sources, like self published recipe pages. Graywalls (talk) 21:40, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

I agree, with the caveat that a standalone article may be warranted if a given pasta shape has enough specific history to describe in detail. (I’m not sure what shape would qualify, but someone more familiar with pasta likely will). hibachrachlet's talk! 18:30, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
The latest comment in the article seems like a good idea for an article to create. FantasticWikiUser(Ts and Cs) 19:26, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
Talking about this one specifically. FantasticWikiUser(Ts and Cs) 19:27, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

If this were properly sourced, it would be a great DYK for April Fools Day. Just saying. Bearian (talk) 03:07, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

Shepherd's pie article has been nominated for Featured Article

The shepherd's pie article, which is within this project's scope, has been nominated as a Featured Article (FA). An FA should exemplify Wikipedia's best work, and is therefore expected to meet the FA criteria. Please join the FA discussion and leave comments. Substantive discussion about the article continues on its Talk page, and improvements to the article itself are always welcome. --Macrakis (talk) 21:36, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

My personal comment: Please read the article and its citations carefully before editing. While there is a common prescriptive view that shepherd's pie must contain lamb (it's only logical) and cottage pie beef, the article cites multiple Reliable Sources demonstrating that this distinction is not consistently maintained in practice. --Macrakis (talk) 21:36, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

Well that's unfortunate. What I said still stands. I'd like to get some people together and go through wikiproject spirits and clean some things up. As an individual editor I am improving individual articles, but I'd like to work together on the bigger picture. 𝟏𝟎𝐚𝐫𝐭𝟏 talk 00:42, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
Actually, maybe I don't understand something. Why was the whole thread on improving wikiproject spirits removed as part of this COI notice? 𝟏𝟎𝐚𝐫𝐭𝟏 talk 00:46, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
@10art1 Looks like your thread about improving WikiProject Spirits got archived as part of an automated process that archives discussions that haven't had new comments in 30 days - it's now here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Food and drink/Archive 45#Fixing Up Wikipedia:WikiProject Spirits. That archive operation happened at about the same time as this COI edit request but was unrelated.
I'd suggest starting new discussions at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spirits and invite other interested editors to participate there (for example, you can post on their talk pages to encourage them to join in). And in general, please feel free to Wikipedia:Be bold! Dreamyshade (talk) 15:37, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
I did leave messages on several talk pages but have gotten no response.
For now, I am just going through rum pages one by one as I see fit, prioritizing the ones most lacking, and doing my best to improve them. 𝟏𝟎𝐚𝐫𝐭𝟏 talk 15:44, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

Gatorade

Hi! My name is Edward, I am a representative of Gatorade. Reintroducing myself here because I will be making some suggestions on the Talk page for ways to help the Gatorade article become more encyclopedic, accurate, and up to date. Given my conflict of interest, I aim to collaborate with editors here to achieve this goal together. I have another request up that editors here might be interested in. I’ve submitted an initial request and have since revised based on feedback. If you scroll down to the post published on March 2, you will see the post I'm referencing. Please drop me a message on the article talk page or my user page. Thanks! EC for Golin (talk) 21:06, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Whole hog barbecue: a GA created by a sockpuppet

If anyone has a moment, whole hog barbecue should be checked to make sure its content wasn't faked in any way. Ed [talk] [OMT] 05:33, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
